There are women who are married but single! They prefer solo trips, and would rather do things alone because they married a jerk. If a woman you know feels unfulfilled without a man, then that is her problem. There are thousands of other women living their lives without a man and they are happy. How many women in Nigeria have a good marriage? Just a handful! How many of them want to get out of their marriages? Many, but they can't because they are scared of being judged.

You people use marriage to shame single women to the extent that I overhead a mad man the other day ranting that he never wants anything to do with a Nigerian woman. If your so called 'successful female friends' are desperate for marriage, why can't they use their money and influence to find themselves a partner? What are they waiting for? I will tell you why they are single. It is because the men who come their way are nothing to write home about.

For what it is worth, as a woman, there is nothing wrong in wanting the right man to spend your life with. But it becomes a big deal when single women are shamed for it and made to feel like men are the prize. A prize that brings nothing but sorrow to a woman may not be worth it afterall. On a final note, if a man feels unfulfilled without a job, then why make it a fuss when a woman feels unfulfilled without a man?
