Hey bruv, please take it easy on yourself. You are much stronger than you think and you don't need to exit quietly because you still have a great future ahead, if you will just hold on to hope and God's word. We can talk about anything you are going through, a problem shared is half solved.

Your problem is more of psychiatric/psychological (I learnt this from my doctor and it looks real). You can look for an experienced Psychiatrist to talk with, he may be able to point your problem to you

I've been having sleepless nights for over a year now. Back and forth with doctors and sleeping meds.

I'd sleep around 10 or 11pm and be up 2am or 3am, wide awake like I wasn't just sleeping, unable to sleep back. I noticed recently that my heart rate would be high when I wake.

I'm this close to quitting my job because of insomia.

I've tried hundreds of remedies, chamomile tea, all sorts of sleep inducing fruits, sleeping medications, yoga, warm bath, nothing works.

Help.

Thanks very much. The conference is professional and I have attended similar conferences in Kenya and South Africa years back. i did not spend more than 2 weeks each.
On my ties to the country: I lead a religious organisation and I am on the Trustees board. Also, I sit on the director board of an educational organisation (shareholder). Married with children, all schooling in Nigeria presently.
I am not on salary, but I earn close to 450k monthly, but have irregular earnings that could shoot above or slightly below 1M some months. Averagely my monthly account turn over is between 2-2.5M

A conference is non essential travel and is not compulsory to attend physically as many centres allow online/virtual attendance.
They would expect you to fully sponsor yourself to go attend a conference if at all, they would consider you.
There’s no way to understand that an adult man wants to leave their country for a conference and needs someone to sponsor them.
What if things go wrong? Then you will be stranded and access public funds. Red flag.
So check your finances and your travel history.
How much you earn monthly, your strong ties to Nigeria and how many of such conferences have you gone for successfully and back and what will be the impact of the conference on your work or career or both.?? It must be linked to personal or career development goals.
These are just 2 of the minimum requirements you should meet.

I am close to 60 years and have seen a few change of government and the newer is always judged worse than the older! I have seen coups, I have seen elections, they have not brought changes as expected because we are not dealing with the real problem. Nigeria gives birth to a new UAE every year!

1. If he was in the hotel to have sexual relationship with the woman, the engagement would be through the night. If the lady had left by 4pm, what will he still be staying in the hotel to do? Don't you think for a better cover up, it's better to have gone home?

3. Who is the friend? 4am is too early to look for a person. Even if you report dissappearance at police station, they give some time before declaring the person missing.

She may have a good heart but she does not understand her official roles. So, she was running things as a director of an NGO. You are wrong man. Restitution is not a Biblical doctrine. How do you do restitution for murder? Zaccheus said all he said about restitution out of his excitement for having Jesus in his house, Jesus did not make any statement about it. The Bible also did not specifically called polygamy a sin. No school authority will fold hands and allow an individual student call such meeting. Who knows what the SUG is up to on the matter? Asking if the SUG President is on a platform suggests ulterior motives for such platform. In this matter, it will also be difficult for him to get strong support from the SUG leadership.
