A boy has been born in India with two heads and one body. CBS reports that the infant is a conjoined dicephalic parapagus twin, a rare condition which more commonly affects girls, often causing them to be stillborn. The little boy reportedly has two nervous systems but only one rib cage and shoulder girdle. His two backbones are fused at the pelvis, and doctors say he needs further tests to see if he has other conjoined organs. He is being cared for at the J K Lone Hospital in Jaipur City. The Daily Mail reports his medical team there are confident he will survive despite the seriousness of his condition. Continue... In 2011, a Brazillian woman gave birth to conjoined twins – the second such birth in Brazil that year. Her doctors did not plan to separate the babies. In February 2004, a baby was born in the Dominican republic with two heads. The BBC reported at the time that the little girl – Rebeca Martinez – initially came through an 11-hour operation to remove the live head of her partially-formed twin, but later died from surgery-related complications. The Hensel twins, Brittany and Abigail are a famous example of conjoined children who have survived into young adulthood – they shared their story on the TLC reality TV series ‘Abby & Brittany’, and showed how they live independent and fulfilled lives despite sharing a liver, large intestine and colon, three kidneys, one bladder, one set of reproductive organs, one pelvis and two legs...see related stories....http://omobar..com/2013/07/shocking-photos-two-headed-baby-born-in.html#more

Rochas Ewelle Okorocha, the governor of Imo State has finally sacked Nollywood actress Nkiru Sylvanus from his cabinet. The actress was sacked by the governor Thursday at the state executive council meeting held in the state capital. The light-skinned ‘cry cry’ actress wasn’t the only sacked aide of the governor as all others too were removed from office, including the state commissioners. Nkiru served as a Special Assistant to the governor. She was first given the mandate to oversee matters concerning Imo indegenes in Lagos State before her redeployment to Owerri, which is the state capital. Her appointment received criticism as some people alleged that she was appointed to give the governor a ‘special service’. The actress is not an Imo state native; she is originally from Abia state..see related stories here http://www.omobar..com

This is an interesting revelation made by a woman named Sister Linda. This is actually the 2nd part of her visit to hell and she names those she saw there with messages they sent her back to earth with. Just read and let me hear your take on this 'mata'. Jesus went with me to hell this time, when I was with Jesus, the brightness of Jesus; Jesus have light all over His body, when we entered that dark place, I was seeing, I could see, this time, the people in hell because of the bright light on Jesus (Jesus is walking with a bright light, a glorious light). Continue... And then, Jesus opened my eyes to see some of these men and women in hell. Jesus gave me message to Sierra Leone, He said if I should have come in December to January only five people in Sierra Leone would have raptured five only. That includes the three righteous pastors and five other people in and out of the church, when I said this in Sierra Leone, people said it is lie. Jesus said Sierra Leone is polluted; that the shepherds he gave the word to preach to His people in Sierra Leone are dying to meet God, but majority are in hell. So Jesus sent me to Sierra Leone When we were in hell, Jesus showed me a glass-like aquarium with people inside it, the souls of human who are still on earth are in that glass inside hell. These are people on earth who are working for demons, we have some people on earth who don’t believe anything, they are on their own, doing all sorts of bad things, even pastors who knows the truth but are bowing down to Satan, they are partakers of Satan’s communion, their souls are in that place. Gadhafi in Hell And Jesus pulled out a man from the fire and he introduced himself to me, he said, “I am Gadhafi” (because you won’t recognize him because the fire has destroyed him, he said, “I am Gadhafi, former Libya president” Gadhafi said, “Tell my Libya people to worship Jesus” he said, “Tell my people to believe in Jesus”, he said, “Ah Jesus, have mercy, I never knew you are the right way, have mercy on me”. He said, even the people who killed him on earth, he doesn’t want them to come to hell, he said “Tell my people to believe that Jesus is the right way” He also gave me another message (why he gave me this message is because, he said, the entire mosque he built on earth should be destroyed and turned into churches so that people will glorify Jesus and maybe the punishment on him in hell will decrease. Because anything here on earth that you build that does not glorify Jesus Christ, that does not glorify God, that does not make people to come to their right Father(hotels, bars etc.), anything sinful in the world that you build (when you die, you leave these things on earth). People will be there doing all sorts of evil things, as far as people are enjoying these places, or practicing all sorts of evil things, in the place that doesn’t glorify Jesus Christ, the demons will increase the pain on you in hell. So he said, “Please so that the pain will decrease, I know if people will worship in my mosque, if they will call Jesus there, maybe the pain will decrease” And Jesus said, “It is too late”. I saw another president (Former president of Guinea). While Jesus showed me these presidents is because He gave me message for Sierra Leone president. But when I met my Sierra Leone president, he loves God. He obeyed the message; I thank God for his life, because men of God were saying all sorts of things, but the president obeyed the message of God. President Lasana Conte, former president of Guinea, he said, “Tell my people in Guinea, let them Jesus over Guinea, and let them turn to Jesus because Jesus is the only way.” He said where he is, he doesn’t want anyone to be there, he said tell my people to believe and trust in Jesus, he said, he built a cult that he was sponsoring and he was also in the cult. He said, he wants the people to destroy that cult, let them come to Jesus. And one famous Lawyer that died: Usher Williams, he was the deputy speaker of House of Parliament in Sierra Leone House of Parliament. He was in one cult, they call the cult in Sierra Leone “Louch” and he was in devil business, ordaining devils. He said I should tell his “Louch” brothers that they are heading to hell, all his cult brothers that died before him, he saw them in hell, he said “Please destroy louch, destroy these devils” he said, “turn to Jesus, He is the only way, hell is real”. And then, I saw one prophet: Prophet Mani, he was the owner of the Burning Bush, that man said he would die but that he would also rise up after three days. And when he died, they took his body to the mortuary, his congregation said that they should not bury him, after three days he did not rise again, he was there for one month until the mortuary people said they should come and take their corpse away. I saw this man in hell; he said “tell the people that I did miracles and signs and wonders with communions, these communions, those anointing oil, I ordained them and dedicate them to the demons” he said, tell them to go to a church where they can be delivered or else if they die they will go to hell because I ordained them for Satan; Satan was the one giving me all these powers.”“And tell them to destroy my church because the foundation is from Satan, everything up to the roof is from Satan”. I saw one woman- a musician I liked so much- I always listened to her music when I was in the world:Whitney Houston: she said, “tell my mother to take my only daughter to church, that all the finances I left behind should be used to support God’s work. Let them support Jesus’ ministry, let them support holiness ministries, let them support God’s work. Let them support Christians- the right Christians. She said she wants her child to grow in Christ and know Jesus. “Please tell my mother; Jesus please have mercy, let me go back to the world and tell people that you are real, let me tell these musicians” And Jesus said, “It’s too late”. I saw my biological parents in hell; my mother, my father and even my grandmother that just died this January ( I don’t like talking about them)- sobs- it’s very painful, it’s only the grace of God, I don’t like talking about hell, some times when I am asked to come and give testimony, I don’t like to, because I know I will reach this part. And one day, Jesus said, if I stopped preaching His word, He will destroy me. So I always pray to Jesus, whenever I stand to give this testimony, to give me the boldness and strength, because any time I think of my parents, I loved my mother so much but she didn’t know Jesus. She was crying; she said, “Please I miss you guys, tell your sister to follow Jesus, I don’t want you people tom come here” Please mother , don’t leave your children behind, you know the truth right now, take your children along. I didn’t recognize my mother anymore. I don’t want to go to hell (I love my mother so much, I use to say anywhere my mother is, I want to go, when Jesus showed me my mother- I don’t want to go to hell, I don’t want to be with here there. Don’t go to hell, hell is not a place for people like us. And God showed me a young boy, about five or six years old, because of witchcraft, God say I will judge all men. When Pastor Ken Paul said a child can go to hell, I argued in my mind that God would not do something like that, but God showed me this boy, a small boy, because of witchcraft. Satan is wicked, now if you go to crusades in Sierra Leone and they say witches should come out, you will see small-small children When you are coming for a program like this, don’t leave your children behind; come with them so that Jesus will deliver them. If you leave them and they die, they will go to hell, no matter how small they are; as long as they have sense and know what is bad and good. I saw another woman who was in Thailand when she died, she was a believer in Jesus married to a Muslim, then backslide. She said I should tell her daughters, “I loved their father so much and trusted him, not knowing that this man was in occultism”, he sacrificed his wife She said, tell them to go out and stand firm in the church, in Jesus who is the only way She gave the man’s name and address. When we return back from Nigeria, we will try and go and do a tour. source http://www.omobar..com

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a woman, Mrs Aminot Otun, for roasting the right hand of her seven-year-old step-son, Awwal Otun, last Thursday. Awwal’s hand was allegedly roasted for adding drops of liquid disinfectant to his bath water. According to Ngozi Ekwerike-Okoro, President, Child to Child Network, a Non Governmental Organisation, NGO, a distressed call from one of Otun’s neighbours at 59, Suenu Street, Surulere, Lagos saved Awwal’s life. Awwal was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital at Gbaja where another drama ensued as the doctor on duty refused to treat or admit the boy despite pleas that the hospital was built purposely for mothers and children in the state. According to his teachers, Awwal, who is in primary one, should not be allowed to go back to his step-mother because he is always coming to school with bruises as the neighbours who pleaded anonymity said that had been the normal punishment for the boy’s mistakes. Awwal was later taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment and he is currently at Juvenile Welfare Centre of Alakara Police Station. source http://www.omobar..com

When Stephanie (not real name) joined FCT Queens football club of Abuja in 2011, she was overjoyed. Her chance of being a professional footballer and eventually playing for the Falcons, Nigeria’s senior female football team, was getting brighter, she thought. Things have however, not moved as planned. Owned by the Abuja administration, FCT Queens has, rather than enhance her football career, turned Stephanie and her teammates into beggars, and even something worse. Formed about 15 years ago, the FCT Queens has not paid the salaries and allowances of its players for almost two years. “The last time they paid anybody was in March last year. Even then they paid a backlog of about three years to some players. For 18 months now, we have not been paid a dime by the club,” Stephanie said. FCT Queens The FCT Queens is one of the 20 female football teams participating in the Nigeria Women Football League. It currently sits in the seventh position of the Group B table. There are 10 teams in each group. While the club prides itself as one of the top female teams in Nigeria, the players live in penury and in poor conditions. When our source visited their hostel in Area 10, inside the Old Parade Ground in Abuja, it was smelly, shabby, and in very poor state despite the fact that the building was commissioned a few years ago. Many of the players no longer live in the hostels; while the few there complained of terrible living condition, but begged that their names not be mentioned for fear of victimization. “We have not been given food for almost two years now; we feed for ourselves. “Sometimes, we contribute N50 each to buy few things to eat and survive,” a top player of the team said. “We eat once a day; yet, they expect us to put in our best on an empty stomach,” she added. The women’s league, like the men’s, is a round robin competition with all the clubs playing against one another on home and away basis. “But just like players of FCT Queens are made to live in terrible conditions, they are made to travel in very uncomfortable conditions. Travelling condition On Tuesday, June 4, 15 players and three officials of the FCT Queens left Abuja at about noon for Lagos in an 18-seater bus. “The team had a league game against Police Machine of Lagos the next day. Although, each team is allowed 11 starters and seven substitutes on the bench for a football match, the Abuja club only went with four substitutes; as accommodating the three essential staff, including the coach, meant the bus could not take more than that. There was no option for a bigger vehicle as the team could barely afford the 18-seater. Also, due to lack of funds and other management problems threatening the Abuja team, they could only travel the 720-kilometre journey by road, a day before the game. However, close to midnight, the bus broke down along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The ladies, who would be playing a competitive match in less than 16 hours, were forced to sleep in the bus. “It was a very terrible condition, many of us could not sleep, afraid of our lives. Some developed cramps as they sat all night in the bus,” one of the players said. “We sleep on the road several times due to the bad state of the buses in which we travel, then the next day, we will still play a match- it’s not fair,” Stephanie said. The fatigued players, with many injured, could barely play the match against their opponents. Fortunately for them, the home team did not turn up for the match. The team returned a day after the match was to have been played in a similar condition as their trip to Lagos. “Many of us were sad, we knew we could do better, but what can we do. There was not even any medical treatment for any of us after the terrible journey. Medical condition The living and travel conditions the Abuja administration makes players go through is just as bad as the medical conditions; where no provision is made for the treatment of the girls. Football teams are expected to have medical personnel like doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists and so on. FCT Queens has none. “They don’t care about our well being. When we are sick, they ignore us. There is no team doctor or physiotherapist. “There is no medical insurance, players are just on their own,” another player said. “I was really sick at a time and none of them (officials) offered an ordinary paracetamol for me take so that I will get well. “At least, if the salary were regular, we can buy our drugs ourselves,” she said. The salaries and allowances Our source learnt that the monthly salary of players of FCT Queens vary from N25, 000 to about N50, 000. source http://www.omobar..com

An angry mob has set three suspected armed robbers ablaze in Ikotun, Lagos State. We learnt on Thursday that the robbers were set on fire on Wednesday evening, shortly after robbing a recharge card trader at Second Junction bus stop on Governor’s Road. Our correspondent, who visited the area, observed burnt tyres, carcass of a burnt motorcycle and some human flesh on the side of the road. The recharge card trader, Ese Akporhono, who had a bandage on her head, told our correspondent that the robbers came to her shop posing as customers. She said a few seconds later, the suspects pointed a gun at her and stole recharge cards worth N400,000 before fleeing. She said, “Around 5pm, I was closing the shop when the men approached me saying they wanted to buy recharge card. “Before I knew what was happening, the men brought out guns and went into my shop, They stole recharge cards and money. I engaged them in a struggle and attempted to prevent them from fleeing. They overpowered me and used the butts of their guns to hit me in the face and head.” Our correspondent learnt that the robbers allegedly snatched a motorcycle and shot a man in the area and were fleeing when a motorist knocked them down. An eyewitness, who requested anonymity, said a bystander prevented them from fleeing as he pelted them with stones while they were attempting to stand up. Other residents quickly joined the bystander and grabbed the weak robbers, beating them up to a pulp. He said, “After the vehicle knocked them down while they were attempting to escape, we seized them and beat them to a pulp. The crowd grew larger and this attracted the attention of policemen.” Our correspondent learnt that a team of policemen from Ikotun Police Station stormedthe scene and attempted to rescue the robbers but were overwhelmed by the mob. It was learnt that policemen even fired gunshots into the air but the mob remained adamant. see related stories here http://www.omobar..com A woman, who runs a bar in the area, said another team of policemen also arrived from Area M, Idimu, but the mob set the robbers ablaze. She said, “The policemen came in a patrol vehicle and asked the crowd to hand over the robbers but they refused because they did not trust the police. “Another team of policemen also came but the crowd ignored them. Some of them (crowd) got tyres, placed them round the robbers’ necks and set them ablaze. “They however handed over their guns to the police.” When asked why the residents took laws intotheir own hands, the woman said there had been an increase in robbery in the area and the police had failed them. She said, “It is because armed robbers have been terrorising us that is why we close our shops early. Last year, a pregnant woman was robbed and killed in this area. “We cannot continue to fold our arms. By this act, robbers will be afraid anytime they think of coming here.” Akporhono told our correspondent that her recharge cards were still with the police and they had refused to return them to her. “Police are holding my recharge cards as exhibit, I want them back because I am the victim,” she said. When contacted on the telephone, the spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, said she was aware of the incident and promised to call back.

Transparency International, TI has released its 2013 Global Corruption Barometer. The non-profit anti-corruption body surveyed residents in 107 countries. Nigeria, Russia and Mexico are among the world’s biggest countries with active corruption indices. Liberia and Mongolia lead the table. According to the report, the world’s corrupt nations differ in many ways. Four are located in Africa, three in Latin America and two in Asia. These nations also vary considerably in size and population. Mongolia has just 3.2 million residents, while Mexico, Nigeria and Russia are three of the largest countries on the globe, each with more than 100 million people. In Nigeria, 84% of those surveyed by Transparency International claimed corruption had increased in the past two years, a higher percentage than almost any other country in the world. Troublingly, 75% of those surveyed also said the government was, at best, ineffective at fighting corruption, worse than in all but 10 countries. TI says Nigeria is heavily dependent on the oil industry, yet the government refuses to act on accusations that the oil companies are underreporting the value of the resources they extract and the tax they owe by billions of dollars. The report adds that “certain transparency groups also blamed politicians for encouraging corruption. In 2012, Nigeria had just the 37th largest GDP in the world, despite having the world’s seventh largest population. In Liberia, the majority of Liberians surveyed said they believed the country was run either largely or entirely by a few entities acting in their own self interest. “A world-leading 86% of residents who spoke to Transparency International claimed their government had been either ineffective or very ineffective at fighting corruption, while 96% of residents claimed Liberia’s legislature was corrupt, also the highest percentage of any nation. “A stunning 75% of residents surveyed claimed they had paid a bribe to secure some service, trailing only Sierra Leone. “In all, 80% of the population had at one point been asked to pay a bribe. Recently, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf fired the country’s auditor general for corruption. “Many of those surveyed in the highly corrupt countries also felt their governments were not holding up their end of the bargain.” According to the report, “in seven of the nine countries, more than half of those questioned felt their government was ineffective at fighting corruption. In Liberia, 86% of residents surveyed said their government was ineffective at fighting the problem. This was the largest proportion of any of the 107 nations Transparency International surveyed. While corruption appears to affect every part of the public sector, certain segments were much worse than the rest. “Globally, at least 60% of respondents claimed political parties and police were corrupt. Additionally, more than 50% of people stated their legislature, their public officials and their judiciary were corrupt. “In the world’s most corrupt nations, those institutions were, naturally, even worse. In Nigeria, 94% of people claimed their political parties were corrupt, the most in the world. “Similarly, 96% of Liberians reported their legislature was corrupt, also the most in the world. In eight of the nine most corrupt nations, more than 80% of residents considered the police to be corrupt.” see related stories here http://www.omobar.blospot.com

Malia Obama, daughter of President Obama, is now rumored to be dating. It hasn't been even a month since speculation arose about just how Sasha and Malia Obama's teens would effect President Obama's second term. Now it appears President Obama is dropping hints. Visiting Georgia, President Obama pushed his education agenda. According to MSN Now, Obama hinted then that one of his daughters, probably 14-year-old Malia Obama, has begun dating: "I do have to warn the parents who are here, who still have young kids, they grow up to be, like five feet 10 inches. And even if they're still nice to you, they basically don't have a lot of time for you during the weekends. They have sleepovers and dates. So all that early investment just leaves them to go away." According to the Huffington Post, the Obamas revealed in an interview the influence Barack and Michelle Obama's marriage will have on their daughter Malia's inevitable relationships with boys: "The great thing about the girls is they've got a wonderful role model in their mom. They've seen how Michelle and I interact - not only the love but also respect that I show to their mom. So I think they have pretty high expectations about how relationships should be, and that gives me some confidence about the future." President Obama noted in an interview last year with Ryan Seacrest: "Michelle is very good about making sure that we're creating a space for them where they can have sleepovers. They can go to the mall. They can go to the movies. They're going to homecomings at their school." The unwritten rules governing coverage of President Obama's daughters still stand, so we should not expect a lot of first-hand media updates on Malia Obama's dating life. Cocaine weighing 5.9kg has been abandoned by a suspected drug trafficking syndicate. The drug was detected by men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos. The drug which was hidden inside industrial equipment originated from Panama, Central America. The discovery was made as a suspected drug trafficker excreted 54 wraps of cocaine he ingested in Brazil. NDLEA Commander at the Lagos Airport, Mr Hamza Umar said that the cocaine consignment was left unclaimed. “The luggage was imported from Panama. When nobody came forward to claim ownership, we invited other security agencies and carried out search. It was in the process of search that the cocaine was discovered inside industrial equipment. A 36 year old man, Onyema Watson Goodman Nnamdi was also apprehended in connection with the ingestion of 54 wraps of cocaine weighing 875 grammes. Both seizures weighed 6.775kg” Hamza stated. The suspect said that he had wanted to get married with the sum of 4,000 dollars they promised to pay him. According to Onyema, “I have struggled in my life but I have nothing to show for it. I was in Cape Verde for six years before I went to Brazil in March 2013. My decision to smuggle drugs was to use the proceeds to marry and settle down”. Chairman/Chief Executive of the Agency, Ahmadu Giade promised to investigate the illegal shipment and expose those behind it. “Drug barons have no hiding place. This abandoned seizure is an indication that control measures are working and the country is winning the war on narcotics. This case shall be thoroughly investigated and those that are responsible will be exposed and brought to justice”. He urged members of the public to support the anti-narcotics campaign in the interest of humanity. The suspect will soon be charged to court.
