Omotaday:
Interesting, this great thread seems to be fading.

For me, it all started here, and now I’m a BI developer working outside Nigeria. Thanks to Ejiod and other early contributors.

I wil say one thing, Data analytics or Business Intelligence is not just about dashboards. In the Nigeria tech space, I have noticed that people seem to overlook data modelling (Fact & dimensions, star schema, snowflake) which is part of the most important knowlege when working with data and it's likely to come out during interviews. As a data analyst, your data won't always come from a single table, you could have 10 tables with million of rows just for a report, how do you connect them? To that effect, I will encourage new comers to glance through this topic as they navigate their journey in the field.

Hi @Omotaday, I hope you get to see this, and I would greatly appreciate your response. I have recently started my journey as a data analyst and have been actively applying to jobs through online job sites. While waiting for opportunities, I am also applying what I’ve learned to sharpen my skills.

Please, I would like to know if you could possibly help me with guidance on getting started and gaining visibility on online job platforms like Upwork while I navigate my employment status.

This is not limited to @Omotaday if you happen to see this and have tips on how I can get started, please kindly share. Thank you so much.
