I opened a thread sometime last year explaining that Nigerians don't understand what it means to be landlocked. The word "landlocked" in Nigeria is used solely for political purpose but it doesn't change the reality on the ground. The sad part is that so many Nigerians including Igbos have bought this lie. If you want to know what true land lock means, look at Switzerland, Lesotho, Ethiopia etc. Even with the false map drawn after the civil war, Igbos are not landlocked.

Igbo is a language indigenous to the people of the lower Niger, and the question is whether the native Igbo speakers in Nigeria are land locked? In other words, whether the native Igbo speakers of Ikwerre, Opobo or parts of Bonny are landlocked?
