It is now confirmed that the SW is as good as the North in the almajiri business. Awo must be mad as hell in his grave to see his people turned into beggars and scroungers in their own land. |
FG approves three Almajiri schools for Oyo By Agency Reporter 20/04/2012 12:34:00 Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyatu Rufai Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyatu Rufai The Federal Government has approved the establishment of three Almajiri schools in Oyo State. The Minister of State for Education, Mr. Nyesom Wike, made this known in Ibadan on Friday during a courtesy call on Governor Abiola Ajimobi. Wike, who was in the state to assess the progress of work at the construction site of the schools, said the one in Oyo town would be ready in May. He, however, said the contractor handling the school building in Ibadan had been ordered to leave the site because of the poor quality of work. The minister said the construction of such schools across the federation was in line with President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign promise to make education accessible to all children. He also said the N1.09 billion Universal Basic Education fund allocated to the state in 2011 and 2012 had not been accessed, adding that this would be deployed to boost the education sector. Responding, Ajimobi said his administration was determined to access the UBE fund before the end of April. The governor, who commended the minister for approving the Almajiri schools in the state, urged the federal government to increase the number to five in order to cater for the many nomads in the rural areas of Oyo North. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the minister was accompanied on the visit by senior officials of the Universal Basic Education Commission. http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news-update/43790-fg-approves-three-almajiri-schools-for-oyo.html |
Onlytruth: Nobody says otherwise.Aside Soludo, Isong and Ogwuma, how many other CBN govs hold a second degree or higher? Chiroma even has only a first degree in History and he was the CBN gov. A good first degree in a relevant discipline and considerable experience suffices, IMO. |
jason123: I have never been a supporter of Saunsi but he is innocent until proven guilty! And Emeagwali was proven guilty by who? Yet you call him a fraud and tried to derail this thread with your idiocy. You are such an i.d.iot. |
ekt_bear: Nchara. What I do is basically something related to applied math. Then: ''I used same data for two published papers''-Dapo Bear Now: ''I used data from a conference proceedings to write a published paper'' - ekt_bear. Remember also you claimed to be helping illegal immigrants. You are a fraud and a fraudulent liar. |
purity80: I'm tired of these tribal warlords on NL.All thanks to Jason, the Itshekiri-Yoruba miss road. |
ekt_bear:You claimed you used the same data (presented in a different form) for your published papers. On that basis, you are a big fraud. Anyways, no need to waste my time with you. |
Onlytruth: CBN's website describes Sanusi as having degrees in Economics and Islamic law. Not precise what degrees (BS, MS) are those? On that basis, he has a leeway to obfuscate the facts of his qualifications. http://www.cenbank.org/AboutCBN/RetiredExecutive.asp?Name=Mr.+Sanusi+Lamido+Sanusi+%28CON%29 But again, the new WB head has no Economic/Banking degree. Thus, difficult to fault Sanusi based on his degrees. |
ekt_bear: No, the post was addressed to you. Not jason or myself...we both realize that he is a fraud. Then you are also a fraud. I recall you wrote here how you manipulate your data to use same data in more than one publication. Yours is even worse. |
jason123: Dapo, that's the exact same thing I thought of! Let's leave the Emeaguali story there!Good that you realize your folly. |

LG discovers carpenter’s name on scholarship list April 24, 2012 by Femi Makinde 1 Comment The Caretaker Chairman of Irepodun-Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Major Tajudeen Awe (retd), has uncovered a fraud in the award of scholarships to indigenes of the state. Awe, who said this in an interview with journalists in Ado-Ekiti, said that he was shocked to see the way the fraud was carried out before he assumed office. The council boss added that he was surprised to see his carpenter’s photograph and name as one of the beneficiaries of the scholarship. Awe said the council had lost some money to the scholarship fraud before his appointment, adding that he had to fashion out a way of curbing the crime. He said, “Immediately I sighted the name of the carpenter I suspected a fraud in the whole arrangement. It was not hard for me to know that the man (carpenter) was not qualified for scholarship. I know him very well, he is a carpenter and he works for me. “I accosted him and he told me that somebody just asked him to submit his passport photographs to process scholarship.” The council boss said he introduced payment of scholarships with cheques to curb the criminal act. Awe explained that he would not stop the scholarship because he also benefited from a scholarship when he was a student. He denied interfering with the election of the students’ union body in the local government. http://www.punchng.com/education/lg-discovers-carpenters-name-on-scholarship-list/ |
Beaf: I don't give a toss about Emeagwali who has zero effect on my wellbeing. Sanusi is the CBN governor for Christ sakes!Precisely. Who the frigging hell is Emeagwali? He has no public office in Nigeria. It was stupid to even mention him here. |
ekt_bear: There is no point turning this into an Emeagwali thread. The particular fraudulent goose I'd like to see cooked in this thread is SLS.You should be talking to Jason123 and to yourself You wrote this, did you not? You joined a useless fray and now your turn around to talk crap? 22. ekt_bear: Quote Post |
jason123: DON'T PUSH YOUR LUCK! D.O.N.T P.U.S.H Y.O.U.R L.U.C.K! Nchara, continue with the topic. Let's not derail the topic!Tell me the fraud that he committed. |
To whom did Emeagwali misrepresent himself? In a court of law? Before the scientific community or before gullible Nigerians? If he committed a fraud why was he not charged? We are talking of the USA not Nigeria, remember? I bought a piece of furniture for 800 dollars and I told my friends it sold for 2000. That is what Emeagwali did. Morally wrong? Yes. A fraud? No. |
jason123: So as not to derail the thread. I'll let this sly! Guys, just try to be more honest and OBJECTIVE when next you criticize people. What fraud did Emeagwali comit? |

jason123: You have just proved that the problem in Nigeria is TRIBALISM! When Nairalanders were calling Philip Emeaguali a fraud! You said, "Nigeria cannot develop because they do not value their own, they always pull their own down . . etc". Now because it's Sanusi and not an Igbo man, Emeaguali, you are here shouting "gravity of this offense". Did you not think about "gravity of this offense" when we have an alleged FRAUDSTER on our National post stamp?! Talk about hypocrisy that STINKS to the high heavens! You i.d.i.o.t. What fraud did Emeagwali comit? He calls himself a doctor, right? Is that plagiarism? Did he write Ph.D in any official document? You are free to claim anything with your mouth, in your website, or in your home. Emeagwali lives in America, the land of law and order; if he had committed any fraud, he will be sued and imprisoned or fined. Has any of those happened? Try again. |

Police nab 2 suspected ritualists in Ibadan … Head, hands recovered from suspects From GBENGA ADESUYI, Ibadan Tuesday, April 24 , 2012 Photo: Sun News Publishing More Stories on This Section The Oyo State Police Command has arrested two suspected ritualists, Asimiyu and Femi. The suspects were arrested on Sunday at Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, after they allegedly killed a mother of four, Mrs Sekinat Emiola (42). The state Commissioner of Police (CP), Tambari Yabo Muhammed, while addressing journalists at the Eleyele headquarters of the command, said the suspects had confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to court. According him, Asimiyu was having affair with the deceased and after having sex with her last Thursday night, Asimiyu allegedly killed her by chopping off her head and hands, and used a container to collect her blood. Asimiyu was said to have cut the head and the hands of his victim, put them inside a sack, while he hired Femi to assist him in burying Emiola in a shallow grave at Oke Aremo cemetary, Yemetu, Ibadan. The residents of Oke Aremo later found the lifeless body of the woman and reported to the police at Yemetu Police Station. They were said to have taken the lifeless body to a mortuary but it was rejected by the hospital. Police were said to have opened the sack and discovered the lifeless body of the woman. According to the police boss, it was after this discovery that investigation into the matter began on Sunday, leading to the arrest of the suspects. The suspects later took policemen to the cemetery where the head and the hands were recovered from the shallow grave. On investigation, Muhammed said Asimiyu opened up that he killed the woman because her husband had laced her with traditional medicine (Magun) and since the medicine did not affect him, somebody had to die. Asimiyu confessed that he used cutlass to cut the woman’s head and hands before taking them to the cemetery where they were buried. Muhammed therefore called on residents of the state to be wary of those they called friends and report every suspicious person to the police before any harm could be done. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2012/apr/24/national-24-04-2012-0010.html |
