Hello fellow farmers, I have 98 day-olds and they are doing very well. I have some few questions to ask for clarity.
I was told from where I bought the day-olds from that after administering lasota for 7days, I should only b giving them water till the 10th day after which I will give them gumboro. Pls is dat right?
My day-olds seems to be eating so much like the super starter I bought a week ago, they have consume half of d bag (although they are 98 day-olds in number). Pls is this okay?
Pls I need prompt response

about the vaccination, u should use vitamin at least 2days after the vaccination and for the day old chicks, are Pullet or broiler?

OK, u are boss, how are the birds doing. what is the production rate?

what happened? is anything wrong with your layers. are u going for same hatchery?

@ nickdoc your birds are infected with Coryza and Newcastle disease. visit nearest vet store for drugs. or
Use anicillin or antibiotics that contains ampicillin and
streptomycin for Coryza and virucidal solution for the Newcastle.
at 11week, a pullet should consume 61g per day. so 960 x 0.061kg= 58.56kg which is almost 60kg which is 2 bags and 10kg,almost 2.5bags.

@ Ewamide is five creates not small at 23 weeks. how many are your birds now. since your birds have been laying for four weeks now, I think you should be having above 60% production . best wishes

welldone house, this is an educative and inspiring thread, It took me more than a week to complete the whole threads. I would also like the direct no of the hatchery. though I'm expecting 200 pullets from same hatchery (zarm) through one of their staff, I was there last Sunday but disappointed. I would like to make direct booking for 600 pullets when I receive the 200 pullets. thanks
