Rejoice with those that rejoice or ignore the post ! undecided
The young man has my respect and that’s it. it’s his personal achievement, a congratulatory message would have been sufficient. He neither made an invention nor some kind of groundbreaking medical solution which will benefit the people of Ogun State. But as expected, our jobless and directionless govt will grasp at anything for publicity.

And to answer your question, I could simply contact GWR and say, ‘Watch me break the record for the longest comment on the internet,’ and then go ahead and type a long-as,s textbook on here on Nairaland. I’m sure Dapo and Sanwo would not find it hard to abandon the deliberation of important government policy and instead roll out a red carpet for me in their office for the stupid GWR achievement.

You see them capitalising on unnecessary things like this for publicity.

Someone trekking from somewhere or someone breaking Guinness record or someone receiving a pop award. In my country Nigeria, this is what governance is all about.

I don’t see us getting things right in 200 years to come.

Cope dude

Blame Hamas not Israel and stop being a cry baby. Why build a tunnel and fire rockets in a populated area, this showed how st*pid you are just like Hamas leaders. They brought hell to them and they've been reduced to rubble by Israelis. How many rockets fired so far this month from Gaza?

I know Hamas now is an idealogy but if they keep firing rockets on civilian population in Israel, they'd keep losing their land. You want them to spend so much money on interceptions and do nothing?

Not supporting Israel but this is the truth. Now who has sense? Cry baby lol
Don’t worry, I was at your stage at some point. You’d grow up one day and realise how stupid you were.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Israeli Airstrike In Rafah Kills At Least 9 Palestinians, Including 6 Children by Omotaday(m): 10:57pm On Apr 20
TChief117:

1. Hamas operates tunnels where civilians love which is just very bad, you have to say the truth.

2. This is complete BS. Hamas is nothing but a brainwashed idiots who thought they could beat a powerful neighbor Iran has been avoiding for years right at its border. It's suicide

Many of this so called figures are not real, not saying so many people haven't been killed but Hamas should stop firing on civilian areas, the military doesn't care, look at Russians in Ukraine
What nonsense are you spewing?

Thought I was replying to someone sensible.

TChief117:
Isn't this weird anytime Israel strike hamas in Gaza they always kill people "civilians" but when they strike Lebanon or other targets people barely die?

Nothing is weird. Israel strikes civilians because 1. Hamas operates complex networks of tunnels under Gaza which has been a nightmare for them as Hamas uses them to “sneak in, sneak out”.
2. Israel is just being reckless and have no regards for humanity.

Israel mostly strike southern lebanon where Hezbollah have their camps and ammunition houses.

Okay. I have confirmed that we have some ZSU-23-4 Shilka and Roland defence system. These are very old short range AD systems but my concern is, are they combat ready or functioning at all?

I doubt if they carry out regular tests on these weapons. To be honest, AD should not be our main priority at the moment, we need more of attack UAVs to combat banditry and terrorism.

Just for curiosity. What type of air defence does Nigeria operate? I would appreciate if you can give me names.

I don't care if Israel or Palestine or even Iran is wrong, but one thing I can say is before you go all out and only declare your opinions on any trending issue, know what your employers stand on that same issue.
In some small companies an issue as trivial as football clubs rivalry can make your boss start despising you.
This is a rare advice. The last part may sound exaggerated to some people but I hope they believe. Speaking from experience.

True. I have watched him many times and can’t see the hype.

He is no where close to some players being compared to him in terms of creativity. Man can’t even take on defenders one-on-one.

Good luck to you, but make sure to write your will. If you see how under-funded and under-armed men like Al Qaseem brigade of Hamas are killing IDF soldiers like chickens in Gaza, you’d have a rethink. Israel power is in its airforce and air defence forces, the army and infantries are group of spoilt brats.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Seizes Israeli-Linked Ship Near Strait Of Hormus(pix) by Omotaday(m): 1:07pm On Apr 13
Okay. Anything in place of a direct attack on Israel is welcomed.

A deterrence strike by Iran against Israel will do little or no significant damage with US air defences covering the flight space, and loads of AD systems waiting in Israel. On top of that, Israel will have an excuse to attack Iran directly, so what’s the gain?

Peace!

Even U.S do not want to entangle with Iran, shocked
It’s because the US have assets all over the Middle East that can take hit from multiple Iran proxies without Iran itself having to fire anything. This will be complicated for US to respond to as Iran has not attacked them directly.

However, Israel is Israel, it’s either Iran attack Israel directly or find a random embassy in Kazakstan (if there is any) to attack. If Iran attacks Israel directly, Israel will have the excuse to use its arsenal, which may turn out bad for either side but most especially Iran. Iran has alot to lose here.

The nuclear project, their oil fields and the country is not fully stable. Lots of enemies within and outside.

What were their generals doing in that building close to Iran embassy in Syria at that time if is not plotting to attack Israel via their proxy militant groups such as Hezbollah.

This is not a good question. You could as well ask US and major countries with military and intelligence assets in almost every country of the world the same question.

Should China start striking the US carriers in the Pacific? Or Russia should strike the US embassy in Ukraine full of military assets and spies?

It's better to be over prepared than to be Caught unaware. I think it's being proactive and it's the major thing we are lacking here, we tend to react to situation that should have been better averted if we are proactive.
Israel is getting ready for worst case scenario.
Correct. It’s proactiveness but can as well be called panic.

What an excellent way of rewarding banditry and terrorism. Perhaps, allocating some billions in the yearly budget could be helpful as well.

People like that abound everywhere in this country. They laugh falsely with you to your face but one misstep and they are the ones to troll and demean you. Shiooorrrr!!!

Now everyone will wanna be part of his success but when he failed, they laughed loudest.

This is why I have always believed in ME, MYSELF AND I. Whether good times or bad times, I treat people the way I have always treated them: with quiet dignity

I made a mistake there. They have 3 big boys and they have won a combined 13 times in the last 40years. Don't forget Copa is played every 4 years. Only Chile who won it twice and Colombia where able to break that jinx of the big boys during the 40 years. The Chile team had a lot of top players same as the Colombia team. Go and check euro and see if it is the same way they are winning it. If the best teams can win it 3 times in a row like how Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay are doing it.
You are buttressing my first comment which puts Euro first.

And then, we can’t just focus on the winners and ignore the level of football, physicality and quality players in this tournaments. Again, I will put Euro first, followed by Copa.

Four different countries have won the last five editions. Argentina and Brazil only won one each out of of those.
