They realised that people of colour are rising and taking positions once deemed too technical or exclusive—positions traditionally reserved for white individuals. So, they crafted a narrative, to white people, they claim that is anti-white. To Black people, they push the idea that DEI is anti-meritocracy, hoping to make you feel ashamed of earning what’s rightfully yours or taking a seat at the table.

Surely, It’s very unsettling for them having people like Okonjo-Iweala (the first African and woman to lead the WTO), Mohamed Kande (the first Black man to lead one of the Big Four accounting firms), and General Charles Q. Brown, Jr. (the first Black man to hold the highest-ranking military position in the U.S. with over 130 hours of combat flight time) challenges their narrative, add to that the many Indian executives leading top tech companies.

Do you know a research was done that when job applications from various backgrounds were submitted with names visible, white applicants had a significantly higher chance of getting hired. However during DEI initiative, when names were removed from CVs, the probability of the offer going to a white person reduced significantly. What does that tell you?

Lastly, consider the Jewish community (or Israel) after the Holocaust. They’ve been provided with aid, immunity, protection, advanced technology, special status, they treated them like they are above everyone else which is still going on today. Why is no one complaining about that, or jews themselves suggesting it’s making them intellectually weak?

Both of them should not back down. The plaintiff should not be begged or agree to drop the case. He should see it to the end.

The defendant too should not beg or give up. He should provide evidence to back his claim or risk going to jail.

For me, it all started here, and now I’m a BI developer working outside Nigeria. Thanks to Ejiod and other early contributors.

I wil say one thing, Data analytics or Business Intelligence is not just about dashboards. In the Nigeria tech space, I have noticed that people seem to overlook data modelling (Fact & dimensions, star schema, snowflake) which is part of the most important knowlege when working with data and it's likely to come out during interviews. As a data analyst, your data won't always come from a single table, you could have 10 tables with million of rows just for a report, how do you connect them? To that effect, I will encourage new comers to glance through this topic as they navigate their journey in the field.

Don't have a junior ISA but if going down this route, I'd follow same ISA rules and pick one with the lowest fee that has the funds I want the money to be invested in. JISAs should also have an FSCS insurance and given the child is a distict individual, the 85k protection limit should apply to their account separately (worth confirming)

P.S worth looking at the rules of access as I the child has full access once they turn 18. Nothing stops them from using it as they see fit which to be honest not an insignificant few would squander at that age. Personally, I'd first fill up my isa and pension and consider investments before a JISA. That way, I can decide to gift the child a reasonable sum when the time is right.

If you're looking at big sums here there should be other ways to give it to them at the right time in a tax-efficient manner
