Christianity Etc › Re: Top Seven Awesome Prophets And Their Lifestyle In The Bible by omotogoodo(m): 3:53pm On Jan 31, 2016 |
None of them were perfect. They were mortals. Moses had anger issues, more reason why God only allowed him to see the promise land from a distance and not enter it.
Elijah fled from the wicked queen, when he heard her threats. imagine a powerful prophet who had earlier commanded fire from heaven and wrought awesome wonders fleeing from a witch!
BTW, you omitted David. I believe that's an oversight.
I could go on and on...
But honestly, these men were very disciplined and valiant. Imagine Moses confronting his foster-father like "guy, My Boss said you should let His people go".
My own cry all the time: Show me your glory O God! |

Decker: Yoruba men know how to love a woman and show her love. If a Yoruba man loves his woman, he would treat her like a queen. Yoruba men are romantic. That's why you still see poor Yoruba men with loyal wives.
Igbo men aren't really romantic. Most of them think they are, but they actually aren't. They believe being romantic is by spending money on a woman, rather than showing her affection. The average Igbo man would first acquire all the wealth he can acquire before thinking of going into a serious relationship, especially one aimed at marriage, because he believes that money is the most essential thing in a relationship, and that's a wrong notion. Una don't start Abi? I be Yoruba, I avoid comments that ignites tribal e-war Learn from me. shotigbo? |

I would pick reekado or korede bello over lil-kesh anytime any day. Cos he ain't gat it. He sings noise not music and won't be staying around for too long.!!!

MYMINDER: Which one is tougher to deal with: Remaining a spinster or bachelor for life OR getting married without experiencing the joy of parenthood I. E. The couple cannot have children.
The one assumption here is that you already know you cannot have children if you do get married.
Will you prefer not to be married if you cannot have children in the marriage or you will still rather be married even if you cannot be a biological parent?
Where do you stand in this tough dilemma?
Marriage is supposed to serve two purposes: unification and procreation. Since the former is still satisfied, I will go with marriage.
Thoughts? Hmm. Tough topic huh? Let's look at it this way, kids are amazing gifts from God, no gainsaying that. But marriage isn't all about making kids. When God created Adam, He realized he was bored, lonely, encumbered (there was no help-meet for him), So God decided to make a woman out of him. That biblical reference is a pointer to the fact that, marriage is first and most importantly about companionship. After that, comes chilldbirthing and every what-have-you. In the case you cited. The challenged should open up to his or her partner from the get go. God will bless him or her for being honest. Afterall two are better than one. Only God can say one can or cannot bear children and He won't even say that cos He's God (His thoughts towards us are good, not of evil. To give us a future and an expected end) It's all about faith. That being said, If both parties consent to spending their lifetime together, then 'pas grand chose'! |
