I greet Fellow nairalanders happy Sunday.

Something has been bothering me so I decided to share it here. One Sunday evening a friend of mine drove me on his bike to a nearby filling station to my house and the lady who served me the fuel was a very pretty lady. I fell in love with her on first sight and ask for her number which she gave me and I started calling her on phone and she does respond well to any of my calls. We later met at a planned place after she closed from work last week. Then she told me few things about her that she stays with her sister that she just came to Ibadan from benue state and that she just spent four months in Ibadan and at the place of work.

I asked her her salary, it was then she told me she collects #10k per month. I pity her and told her if we know better I will help her get better offer. The most painful thing was that this lady works round the clock. From Monday to Sunday and she must resume 6am and closes 8pm at night.

I said to myself which kind of job is this...
Later as we were chatting she perceived beer odour coming from my mouth and said she does not like anyone that drink beer and I promised her I won't take beer again cos of her and she said no problem...

Since then if I call her she will pick and tell me she is busy that she doesn't have time. After two days, she did not even pick my calls again. I love this lady so much and I don't want to lose her. I am confused right now. Pls what should I do? Should I go and meet her there or I should leave her or is it because of the beer she was discouraged or what? Pls nairalanders I need advice

Ibadan Records First Rain Of The Year
Some parts of Ibadan metropolis, the Oyo state capital on Tuesday recorded the first rain of the year. The rain which began at about 3.48 a.m. lasted for almost an hour,this make many residents, who had been complaining of the hot weather happy

Start & Finish

The starting point will be at Western Avenue, in front of the National Stadium Surulere, opposite Teslim Balogun Stadium. The finish will be in front of Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island.



Start Time

Marathon – 7.30am



Getting to the Start

Participants driving are advised to park their vehicles at the Teslim Balogun Stadium or the National Stadium as most roads around the start area will be closed. Attempts to drive to the areas may cause congestion and delays and violators may be sanctioned. Participants are advised to come early to avoid delays.



Running Number Collection

Running Numbers must be collected at Teslim Balogun Stadium the on the following dates:

Monday January 25th 2016– 10.00am to 6.00pm

Tuesday January 26th 2016– 10.00am to 6.00pm

Wednesday January 27th 2016 – 10:00am to 6.00pm

Thursday January 28th 2016– 10:00am to 6.00pm

Friday January 29th 2016- 9.00am to 7.00pm

Saturday January 30th 2016- 11.00am to 7.00pm

Sunday January 31st 2016- 12noon to 7.00pm

Monday February 1st 2016- 10.00am to 6.00pm

Tuesday February 2nd 2016- 10.00am to 6.00pm

Wednesday February 3rd 2016- 10.00am to 6.00pm





PLEASE NOTE:

Participants are advised to come with proof of identification when coming to collect their running numbers. Peradventure, participants intend to have their running number collected on their behalf; the person collecting must come to our office with the printed out copy of the form or the final confirmation received by e-mail. They must have proof of their identity in order to do this.



T/Shirts, Medals and Certificates

– All participants will receive a running race vest, and finishers will receive medals and certificate.

The temperature will be approximately 22-27degrees Celsius at the start.

Race Timing

The race will be timed using the “Time tronics electronic timing system. Chips/Tags will be attached to the race bib number you will receive in your race pack. Do not remove this tag from your bib number.



Drink Stations – Water spaces between the commas

Water Stations will be provided at 2.5km,5km,7.5km,10km,12.5km,15km,17.5km20km,22.5km,25km,27.5km,30km,32.5km,35km,37.5km,40km,and at the finish.



Drink Stations – Lucozade boost will be available at 10km, 15km, 20km, 25km, 30km, 35km and at the finish.



Sponges/Refreshment

Sponges will be provided at the following stations on the Marathon route: 5km, 10km, 15km, 20km, 25km, 30km, 35km and 40km.



Toilets

Toilets will be provided after the following stations on the Marathon route: 5km, 10km, 15km, 20km, 25km, 30km, 35km, 40km and at the finish.



Medical

An Ambulance and medical station will be available approximately 200 meters after each main drink station on the Marathon route at 5km, 10km, 15km, 20km, 25km, 30km, 35km, 40km and at the finish. Medics will also be present at every intermediary station.



Hospitality

Top artistes and a selection of other activities will be available at the finish point to entertain the participants and supporters. Food and Beverage facilities will also be available here.
