Hispitality industry is good investment Mr Chino. Rockview is the biggest 5 star hotel owned by a private individual in the entire East of Niger. Its thriving in Owerri and should be encouraged. I have written in the past that the best choice area for industries in the East is Aba, Oil based firms and corporate business is Port harcourt, mass retail and marketing is Onitsha, auto spareparts industry is Nnewi and hospitality is Owerri. A wise investor will always go for where his investment will yield higher and faster.

FYI..do not misunderstand the gathering of prostitutes to hospitality industry. Places as Calabar and Akwaibom are the real and genuine place for that.

Onitsha has a divers economy from industries to commerce and booming hospitality that comes with malls and 5 star/entertainment center, oil and gas etc. The city has the highest number of banks east of the niger and those and other professionals alike constitute very large corporate society in the city.

Again the only 5 star facilities in the East are the Agulu resort, Raddison blu Onitsha and Nike lake resort.

What is an average person from my state got to do with Owerre or Imo state? Nothing, but come over here in Anambra and see your Imo people all over the place in their millions enjoying good infrastructure and good governance whereas you cannot find a single Anambran anywhere around Imo state. There are at least 1/4th of Imo state population living and earning their living in Onitsha, it does not matter the part of Imo state they come from but they are from Imo state from Orlu to Owerre to Oguta to Mbaise etc, they are into number of things from industry workers to trading to services etc. Some hoods in Onitsha like Fegge, Awada and Okpoko are dominated and filled by at least 50% by the people from Imo state.

This is contrasted the other way round because Lagos indigenes don't necessarily go and live in Ibadan the same way Anambra indigenes does not go to live in Imo state. Also the same way Rivers people do not necessarily go to live in Bayelsa.

Poor dirty old man face your state thread. I have current pictures of Owerre that I covered during my tour of Imo state. From the pictures I have, Owerre is a very dirty town littered with bad roads and prostitutes. I didn't see any street light working because we stayed in the horrible state till 8pm so that I could confirm the much talked about streetlight. It was even on few major roads that I saw streetlight poles but none was working. I will soon flood here with the pictures I got last week.. Brace up..
