Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has issued a statement proffering solutions as to how the N5,000 monthly unemployed allowance promised by the All Progressive Congress APC during their election campaigns can be made possible despite arguments by many. The senator who has been very outspoken about governance in Nigeria has come out once again to air his view on the N5,000 monthly unemployed allowance policy that was promised by the All Progressive Congress APC during their election campaign. Senator Murray-Bruce stated that the policy can be implimented and that the All Progressive Congress leadership should make it a point of duty to keep to their campaign promise. While commending the policy as one of the best policies to be made in Nigeria’s history, he explained how the policy can be easily implemented. “It is possible to fulfill this policy and i can tell you how we can do it. The biggest argument is that Nigerians do not have the database required to make it work, but that is not true.” Ben Bruce also stated that the N5,000 monthly allowance policy can be made possible through a number of database that is already available in the country’s system. “Nigerian graduates have bank accounts, Bank Verification Number BVN, permanent voters’ cards and also National Identification cards. Each of this platforms have connected database which can identify each graduate by their Bio Data and trace their whereabouts through their phone. From the regular activities of these bank accounts, the federal government can verify whether or not they have regular income and only pay those who meet certain strict criteria.” On the case of how money can be generated by the federal government, Senator Ben Bruce suggested that by taxing employed Nigerians, that the needed funds can be raised. “Every employed Nigerian should pay an unemployment tax of between 2% for lower income earners and 5% for middle to high income earners. This is a sacrifice we must make because it will have a positive effect on our economy and will also drastically reduce crime.” The senator also commended the wife of the president Mrs Aisha Buhari for her support for the policy. Ben Bruce ran for governorship elections in his hometown Bayelsa state in 2011 under the flagship of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and lost, but in 2014 he won the Bayelsa East Senatorial District elections still under the flagship of the People’s Democratic Party PDP. ....and your point is ? Does Obama tweet or skype when he is supposed to be managing the affairs of the country How many times have u seen him in Gucci clothes when there are issues on ground that he needs to resolve![]() Now this is the kind of thinking that makes politicians take the youths for granted after they are sworn into office!!!! iamrealdeji: |
Does this mean that GMB is not clean ? just curious...ckmayoca: |
Nigerians...we need to focus on the issues that are surrounding us. Let us not allow political parties dictate the way we should live and the standard of life we get. These politicians need to act more and talk less!!! Enough of all the propaganda abeg!!! |
Both parties are guilty of the same thing! Whether its APC, PDP, GEJ or Tinubu, they all are just messing with us. We need to start focusing on how to get these people to make the best policies that would affect the lesser man and his family...and not just talk about politicians and how much they've looted. Who's to say that GEJ himself hasn't been making arrangements for his own looting Afterall Baba OBJ himself looted quite a handful before leaving office.LET US FOCUS ON THE ISSUES. |
In my own opinion, i think that Fani-Kayode is just a man after his own pocket and ambition. I have a feeling that all these controversies and propaganda that he has been instigating is just for his own political purposes. |
Is it not ridiculous how some of us Nigerians think? We just tend to ignore the issue on ground and focus on abuses and political banters, when there are lot of economic and welfare matters that we are supposed to be bringing forward for this present administration to tackle, yet we are just bent on arguing and talking about irrelevant matters. May God Help This Country!!!! |
Will this Fayose guy ever focus on important issues ? |
They've started again with their empty promises? How will they refine 400,000 b/d when the refineries aren't working ?? I tire for this kain government oh!!!! ![]() |
