I thought the rumor is northern Nigerians look Arab or Ethiopian or something.   
They resemble every-other Nigerian women from SE, SW, SS, etc. based on these pictures. 
My eyes don open,  this is what I get for listening to rumors.

Me too, I seriously doubt the OP is Igbo. Funny enough this is what some Naira landers were arguing about and just like magic some anonymous Nairalander opens a thread about the same thing Igbo and Yoruba were arguing about in another thread.  It's is similar to how anytime someone opens up a thread about some Niger-delta Igbo denying their Igbo identity, out of nowhere someone claiming to be from that community comes in to argue with the Igbos about it and then disappear and never to be heard again after that fight is over. I never knew Nigerians were gullible until I joined Nairaland.

There are more Yoruba on Nairaland than any-other ethnic group; reason being other ethnic groups is slowly migrating out.

If you don't want people calling you mixed then don't claim that other tribes are mixed, especially when there is a positive in them in them and claim its because they have igbo blood

If this topic had not been posted with mischievous reasons, we would actually have a topic to trash out and cry out to govt about. The right to proper education should be a fundamental expectation for all Nigerians. We should be talking about how it is possible for so many fake and substandard schools to flourish in the country, instead we have senseless ethnic bickering. The first source mentioned how igbo's are decendants of jews, go back and read the first paragraph or sentence
the second source is about what the teacher said not what she felt was right or not agreeing with him because I agree with the teacher
the last source is also igbo and random like you are, so you are no better then what she has to say

The first source, despite mentioning the descendants of Jews belief, focused on just culture and custom similarities.  You can't use a mention to prove a broad statement that is red-herring even the OP of the article should have been ridiculed by Nigerian Media for it.  For those that an unaware Judaism is a religion, an Asian can be a Jew, A Native American can be a Jew, and an African-American can be a Jew similar to how an Igbo can be a Jew.  It has nothing to do with someone gene.  It similar to how an African can be a Muslim without having any genetic link with Middle East despite the ignorance many spew about it case in point:  Hausa, Muslim Yoruba, Fulani excluding Woodabe, Somalis, and Djibouti etc. all are Muslims with no genetic link to middle easterners
In the second source the OP said her teacher did not provide her any proof to support his views.  
In the third source, just like the OP, I am random person but what I'm saying is what vast majority of Igbo and other igbo's say.  She's speaking for herself but at the same time dragging and disregarding all other random Igbo opinions which makes her irrelevant.

I neglected to mention this in this thread but I am sure I've told you this before, the variation found with Igbs are found in any other SE and SS ethnic groups in Nigeria be it Ibibio, Annang, Efik, Ijo, Calabar, Some Edo, Yamba, and to an extent ethnic groups in Cameroon.  Africa is a diverse continent for a reason; it is after all the mother of all humans.  The variation is a product of Environmental adaptation and it stayed that way because the ethnic groups mentioned above are constantly mixing with eachother

I'm not a huge member of this forum and I know what you are saying is one-sided thinking. I've been a member for highest 3 weeks, going through both new and old threads and yet I’ve lost count the amount of Igbo bashing coming from Yoruba’s in both old and new threads.  There seem to be more of it than vice-versa dating back to the beginning of this forum.  All you have to do is just type it in the search button or click any old thread even thread praising Igbo women. Based on observation, The Igbo bashing Yoruba seem to have resulted as retaliation to Yoruba bashing Igbo. Based on more observation many Igbo people that used to be members of this forum left this forum because of the Yoruba bashing Igbo.  Even if you leave nairaland and go to YouTube, it's the same occurrence. You are the first to open a thread as retaliation. You are very pathetic!!!!!!. You're actually the worst of all.

The topic is natural hair.  My definition of natural is females without relaxer, or fake hair.  Her pictures excluding the ones with actual natural is best fit for African beauty thread as oppose to this one.  I disagree with individuals posting females with relaxed or fake hair; it defeats the purpose of this thread.   Kenyanlady is not the only one guilty of this but she is the only one constantly doing it in all her post.

I noticed.  In all this HOA inspired threads in NL, the girls are on average very light skin, straight hair, etc. but yet I've met more dark skin HOA than light skin HOA especially when concerning Somalis.   I sometimes wonder if they really this unrealistic but then I remember they are Africans.   Colonization Fu**ed up our views on things; we always try to associate ourselves to anything or anyone looking or resembling white.  The lighter someone is, the prettier we view them.
