If we want fuel to be crazy cheap the NNPC should allocate cheap/free barrels of crude to local refineries and agree on pricing for local consumption only. That way refinery owners only charge consumers for the cost of refining and transporting the products. This is why fuel is cheap in the middle east.

The refineries can then choose to import crude for their export businesses.

Nigeria problem is more complex than you think, during the subsidy regime, larger percentage of the imported products are exported back to our neighbouring African countries by same citizens that talk and complained about the government. Coupled with the fact that our borders are highly porose, you may say the government should secure them naww but, hmmm the corruption in immigration, Nigerian Civil Defence, NA, NAF etc is unimaginable, remember these people are not foreigners ooo, they are same citizens that's complained day and day about how difficult and corrupt the system is.
Fuel and life will only be easy when we are all ready to start doing what is right otherwise, hmmm
