emkz: Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, that you are a world bank former director and former minister of education and solid minerials and former DG of due process does not make the senator an underling for you to order him to shut up.
Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, you had no right to call him a scoundrel or hooligan.
Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, you had no locus to be part of Natasha's petition, apart from being a woman. You presented yourself as a false witness because you were not a principal witness of the incidences. You probably wanted to give a voice to what Natasha put in her affidavit to be seen to be fighting for her. If you were sure you were not about committing perjury, why didn't you take the oath?
Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, you had no right to call her a disgrace to womanhood. Recall that you had also accused a female senator of having six children for 4 different men on television. You must not conduct yourself without self-control. You also are not in a position to defend Akpabio. Akpabio is the accused, not you.
Both of you took yourself to the gutters and fought like smelly pigs. Oby Ezekwesili had more to lose and should have known better, but she entered the gutter first and seduced the senator to swim with her. He happily obliged.
I suspect Natasha does not really want the case to be heard. She had submitted a petition to the legal practictioners council to have the chairman of the panel disbarred as a lawyer over a report that he was disbarred in the US. This means that whatever the panel said under his watch would be tainted with accusations of bias which Natasha desperately wanted to establish.
In conclusion, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan owe their senatorial districts and the entire nation one thing: they both need to leave the senate and move to other things. They are morally bankrupt to be making laws for NIgeria. Good submission from a neutral judge but unfortunately this Nigeria (the most populous black country in the world), hmmm NOT 🚭 🚫 POSSIBLE |

RepoMan007: The bill is a misplaced one. The world all over, polytechnics/tech schools, on one hand, and universities serve different purposes. If the syllabus for Polytechnics has derailed over time due to pay disparity and thus labour market bias, let the boards or commission in charge take the appropriate actions and correct that instead of trying to convert one into the order by decree. All major manufacturing economies of the world have a clear path for polytechnics and universities. Only fakes like ours think rank is everything and skill is nothing. You are right, all we care about in this part of the world is money and title |

immortalcrown: 1. What inspired the bill? I mean, which crisis led to the proposal of the bill? They leave the problems in the country and make noise over trivial matters.
2. Is it right for HND and BSc. to be treated equally when the processes of obtaining the both are not the same?
In my opinion, the bill is illogical.
I am not discriminating against anybody. I understand that a HND holder might be more intelligent and more skilled than a BSc. holder. But HND and BSc. cannot be the same as long as they are not obtained from the same institution. The point is that whoever wants BSc. should go to a university and whoever wants HND should go to a polytechnic. Why will someone who settled for police job fight to be seen and addressed as a soldier after joining the police?
If you could not go to a university because of some challenges that were beyond your control, it is understandable. But don't unleash your frustration on BSc. holders. If you manage to graduate from a university with BSc., do not mock or intimidate HND holders. But it is illogical to rate BSc. and HND equal.
If they want HND and BSC to be equal, the requirements for HND should be exactly the same as the requirements for BSc. Don't mind them, we are getting too many things wrong in this country. HND have it's place so also Bsc, real there are totally different qualifications. If the bill sponsor is saying we need technical education, then where are we to train the technicians and technologist? |

The problem of Nigeria is not about party rather the people, the corruption we cry about is the reflection of the character and beliefs of her larger population. We need a total reorientation (our perception about life and governance is very, very poor). An average Nigerian believes nothing can be achieved without bribery or settlement, it's a normal practice from our homes to religion centre to local council, private enterprise and other facets of our society. We all know this. When we talked about government, please who are the government? who are the people in charge of NPF, NM, SON, NAF, NAFDAC, NPA, NIMASA, PDP, ANPP, LP, NUT, market association, LGA officials, INEC, Clerics, etc non of the above is not influenced by bribery and corruption. If Nigeria will ever gets better, we must honestly tell ourselves the truth, it's not about tribes or religion, it's our philosophy as a people, it's our way of life which unfortunately has formed almost part of our culture (to give "dash" money to people for doing their job often times for the purpose of influencing a process). If I should recommend a way forward; a national 'Day of forgiveness' should be declared where we all admit our wickedness towards our motherland and our fellow country men, after which a new law particularly about our major problems which is "corruption" and a deliberate shift from our value systems and cherished culture should be taught in schools in neutrality to our ethnicity |
