When it comes to determining the age of a tire, it is easy to identify when a tire was manufactured by reading its Tire Identification Number (often referred to as the tire's serial number). Unlike vehicle identification numbers (VINs) and the serial numbers used on many other consumer goods (which identify one specific item), Tire Identification Numbers are really batch codes that identify the week and year the tire was produced.

pinkiberry:Go to Settings>Applications>Running services and you see what is running and how much RAM you have left. You can force quit any apps that you are not using and free up ram. This is like Android's in-home task manager. Also, you can go to Settings>About Phone>Battery>Battery Use and see what is using up most of your battery life. This will tell you what you should cut back on or (again) what apps that you aren't using are running down your battery. |
pinkiberry:You can increase RAM by: Disabling applications Some applications take up RAM even if they aren't currently being used. Organizing which apps should be and should not be running in the background can take time, but it's worth it to improve your smartphone performance. To disable an application, go to "settings" and then "apps" or "application manager." Next, go to the "all" tab to get the list of all the applications currently on your device. To disable an application, tap on it, then tap "disable" and confirm. Be careful not to disable everything and anything, unless you want to end up with an unstable system, but most apps which don't come pre-installed on your handset are pretty safe to disable (or delete entirely if you never use them). Limiting widgets and live wallpapers These are both pretty greedy elements when it comes to RAM usage. Many widgets often refresh and occupy bandwidth, while some live wallpapers and animated wallpapers are continually active. This can also cause your battery to drain faster too! So remember to limit the number of them in effect to optimize your current available memory. |
Note This guide will partition your sdcard to make a part of your sdcard works like the internal memory that you can move your apps to it. This guide will never increase the real internal memory (Storage in taskmanger) as it is impossible to be done. 1. First thing you'll have to do is to partition your SD Card and for doing this you have to: Download Mini tool Partition. 2. Install the application on your PC and connect your SD card to your PC with Card Reader. 3. Open Mini Tool Partition in your PC and when the wizards open click on your SD Card and select Delete option. !!!(Note: This will format your SD Card completely mean that it will erase your data permanently, so before doing this backup your data at any place in PC or other Storage device.) When the Formatting of your SD Card is completed then, you have whole of space of your SD Card as unallocated 4. Then Right click SD Card and select create option. A popup box will open giving you options for making partition; select the partition as primary and file system as FAT if SD Card is less than 4GB or FAT32 if your SD Card is more than 4GB. Leave about 512 MB or more space (your choice) for creating the next partition. 5. Then select done and do right click on unallocated space of your SD Card and again click create option. Select Primary partition but change the file system to Ext2, Ext3 or Ext4. Note: (Ext2 is recommended as most ROMs work fine with it). Click Apply Changes and then process goes on for the few minutes and then partition is completed. 6. Install Link2sd from Google Play On the first launch of the app, it will ask for root permissions and then, it will ask you the file system of the .ext partition that you had earlier made, choose the option as you had choose in the partitioning steps. Sort the apps according to size and start linking them and then you have done your task. Now you have your Phone’s Internal Memory+ Ext file size made by you in your SD Card. Now you can move your apps from your device memory to SD Card and simultaneously your device speed will also be increased. |
That phone in your pocket is essentially a miniature computer, and can do more than just make phone calls, view social media (nairaland, lindaikeji etc) and post to your Facebook account. Most (if not all) Android devices use a USB connection for changing and transferring files, and thus conveniently work with flash drives, too. So if you've got pictures and files to transfer or video files to watch on a long journey ride you don't have to limit yourself to a laptop or desktop computer, or wait for them to transfer over to your device. This howto will walk you through on how to set this all up, but there is one caveat: You'll need to have a rooted device. There are plenty of how-tos and walkthroughs that can help you figure out how to root a phone or tablet, and it's a fairly simple process, for the most part. The best place to start is at the XDA Developers Forums. Gather your materials You'll need a physical USB OTG (On-the-Go) cable with a male microUSB connector-to-female full size USB port. You can easily find one at GSM village. You'll also need to download two apps: one that actually mounts the flash drive, and a file explorer; (ES File Explorer and StickMount.) Plug it in Connect the OTG cable to your phone, then attach the USB Flash Drive. Launch StickMount and then tap OK to mount the drive. You can also choose to have StickMount launch automatically every time a flash drive is connected. The app will pop up an alert to let you know if the mounting was successful, and list the directory where you'll find your files in the file explorer app. Start exploring Fire up the file explorer app—ES File Explorer, in this case. Head to sdcard/usbStorage and look for the name of your flash drive. Tap it, and you should be able to see the files contained on the memory stick. |
