its a pity things are like . legally, clause h makes your being absolved subject to your performance and ultimately vacancy existing for your employment. it is the employer of labour that determines if there is vacancy and not otherwise. pursuing this matter politically might be your best option. the strike might also work. wishing you the best |
kamikaze, odjes firm as at two yrs ago used to pay 5k a month. okpoko is about the higset paying in this town with 20k but with a caveat that u cannot do pp.it is the nameless firms in this warri that even pay btw 10-15k. thanks any way . the fact that a lawyer is in practise does not make him or her better than the ones who are not. some folks in practise would give out anything if they had better offers |

it is good to think outside the box. please know that jobs such as efcc, legal assistants etc ultimately depend on who you know whether you merit it or not. as for the list of law firms, you would have to pass through the eye of a needle to get into them unless you are well connected or sure to get fat briefs for the firms. infact some of those firms insist you must have a car before they can employ you. |
i tot i was the only only one who was of the opinion that getting a job as a lawyer is becoming increasingly difficult. It is worse off in places like warri where i reside especially if you happen to be a married woman. the law firms pay peanuts as in like between 5k and 7k a month if you happen to get one that would employ you. the Govt has placed an embargo on employment here so it is terrible. . |
i feel so embarassed as awoman as it is only men in public office that were thought to be thieves but she has disproved dis |
