Decoding is different from Checking |

It is not new that a car or vehicle could have two Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) or Chassis Numbers on it. That is, the one on its engine bay, windscreen, or driver door post could be different from the one a car scanner will detect when used to scan it Such could happen for so many reasons, such as trying to hide the identity of a stolen vehicle, trying to conceal a smuggled vehicle that has no customs duty as the one has customs duty, and lots more. That is why any car buyer shouldn't rely on the Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) or Chassis Numbers they see physically on the car or its documents but plug a car scanner into it, which will show the actual VIN on the vehicle. Not all Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) or Chassis Numbers you see are VALID. So therefore, there is a need for every VIN to be decoded or confirmed, and that is possible for FREE online. There are numerous websites online that offer a free decoder of VIN but click here => https://www.autosandcartalk.com/threads/how-to-extract-and-decode-any-vin-or-chassis-number-for-free.728/ to see the best one recommended. Note that VIN decoding is different from VIN checking; the first only gives the car's details, while the latter provides a history of the vehicle. P.S: In case you need a simple and cheap car scanner that you can use to extract the actual VIN from a car and other necessary things, Call or Whatsapp +2348050844033. |

When should you check a car’s VIN number? When purchasing a used vehicle, you should always check the vehicle identification number beforepayment. Make sure that the printed VIN number on the vehicle registration document corresponds to the number stamped onto the car’s chassis, as well as any additional plates on the vehicle. VINs, chassis numbers, and engine numbers The VIN number and chassis number are the same thing – the name ‘chassis number’ simply refers to the part of the car the VIN is stamped to. However, the engine number is something entirely different. Engines are not attached to the car and can be changed, so there will be both a VIN/chassis number (which will never be removed or changed) and an engine number for every car. The engine number denotes the size and power output the engine produces. Having a separate engine number means that if the engine needs to be replaced, it can be done so without the car needing to be scrapped. The car would be assigned a new engine number to correspond with the new part, alongside the existing VIN/chassis number. Why VIN numbers are important As we’ve already mentioned, VIN numbers can tell us a lot of information about a car. Therefore, they are integral to helping cut down car crimes, such as theft and the buying/selling of stolen vehicles. Aside from this, manufacturers use VIN numbers to handle warranty claims and recalls. Before you purchase a used car, you should check that the VIN number on the chassis is the same as that shown in the registration documents. It’s best to check for the VIN number in as many areas as possible to ensure they all match. Some car thieves may swap out the VIN from one vehicle to another. This is known as VIN cloning and it is highly illegal. Under no circumstances should there ever be any discrepancies when it comes to the VIN number on a car. The system is supposed to be clear, so if you come across one that doesn’t match, do not purchase the car. |
chccho:I thought you earlier said you won't be here again by saying byeeee up there. Lol! Your kind of person have been revealed and it will be good you change before it becomes too late. You can now go frying your bigger fish. |
chccho:You were asked a simple question out of curiosity, and you are saying another thing out of frustration. With this, prospective buyers will not see you as an honest seller. |
chccho:Lmao!!! A simple question you were asked, and you are lamenting and running away instead of answering it. We know what the kind of people that use such plate numbers on imported cars do. You can as well drop the VIN of the car for an extensive report on it if you are sure of yourself. And if I really want to burst you, I know how I will get its VIN. |
chccho:Was the car imported with the Texas plate number on it or you just put it in Nigeria? |
chccho:The car you recently advertised here => https://www.nairaland.com/7623091/sharp-toks-2013-es-350 came with the Texas plate number on it or you just put it when it came to Nigeria? Just asking to confirm something !!! |
. |
chccho:Keep lying, defending and buying into what can land anyone into big problem; you can continue. |
If you are buying a Nigerian-used car, always try paying into the bank account bearing the names on the registration of the car. |
