i still see gold heading down and will be looking to take a sell on it.
presently gold is looking like it wants to rejects the daily pivot area before moving down
but i still have a feeling that it will still head over to 1408 area before moving back to the downside
so i will just wait and see what happens and if it rejects it here around the daily pivot, then i will just
stay aside and watch cos of the volatility of the market now. have a pending sell order at 1408 area...

naijababe: Here is why I sold, confirmed downtrend on the daily and 4hr. On the hourly chart, fib of the last swings stalls at 88.6%, the last bus stop before that swing is invalidated.

Of course, analysis could be rubbished by the market.

also reverse right at this point if it reject the 125.44 area which is the support level.

A rejection of 1370 will give way for a buy, but if 1370 is broken... then its still heading down. my chart shows me 1300 area

shop closed for the day...
the fact that a market is moving in a particular direction does not mean that
one should now use a higher lot size. trust me i have learnt my lesson the very HARD WAY as a result of
this (thousands of dollars).
if you are using a normal lot size, stick to it and dont let greed take over you.
and like i will always tell anyone, any trade you take, always use stop, stop is the Holy grail
of keeping your account from getting a margin call...

just like now anything can still happen on this gold.
i will take half of my position and still leave my stop there so that i get most out
of this gold cos a break below 1370 then its heading to 1300 area on my chart.
even if my stop is hit, i still bank 410 pips...

naijababe: The spread is 50 pips with both brokers and my sl was at 1474 but I was not stopped out until 1467 on my IG platform. Awon ole buruku. That said, I am just going to hold tight until something meaningful like a proper break below 1430 before I short it or a clearer signal to long.

Those brokers are thiefs and that spread is comlpletely just too much

normally on gold trades on friday, after any huge sell there is always a retracement
before the sell or buy continues for that week which was why even in the analysis i said
that gold will still sell and i will still be buying cos of retracement.
Guess something happened that triggered
the sell without retracement on Gold.
As for your spread, that spread is too much, you should have checked the spread before entering
the gold trade on your brokers platform.

as for the current situation on GOld like you have said, a weekly close below 1425-1430 will mean gold is
still going down. so any trade on is even taking right now this week should be more of sell than buy.

As for me, currently on a sell on eu and ej. already have a take profit of 100pips before i opened my chart.

my analysis on gold has always been that gold is headed for 1530 which is what it did on friday, in fact, it went way overhead... as for the reason i do not care to know as i trade only technicals.
For this week analysis, as long as price is below this level, long term trend of gold is bearish but that doesnt rule out taking buy trades which in fact will be my first trade on gold this week.
reason is that gold is sitting on the weekly support level which shows a sign of rejection so once market opens around this area if there is no gap, i will be buying gold at this level and be target 50% fibo level and any sign of rejecting at this fibo level, i will enter sell again.

This will be my trade for this week on gold.
