@mk82, yes I know the book was short and it was written like that just to get the practical knowledge of the process of publishing on kindle...
That's why I said if you remember that am not expecting it to sell....
Next books that am writing will be at least 20-30 pages in the different niches that I have discovered.

@2sexy, u know me na, dt first one na testing... Other one wey I dey prepare, na proper formating, design and copywriting skill go finish the book... Me just wan quick see how the thing go bbefore I launch fully into it...The amoutn of work wey I don do and niches and hot topics found no small wey I dey work on now... I will definitely put my internet marketing skills into it starting from the next books I produced... Even the cover gats better past the first one...

when you find a niche topic that you want to write about.
how do you go about the content for the material assuming you dont want to go the route
of having to pay someone to write the content for you...

reason is that, i found a niche and getting the content is sort of difficult from google
as most the result is just leading to a paid sales page to buy...

ur input will be very much appreciated.

one of the places where you can get covers done for you cheap is on fiverr...

By the way... here is the cover for the kindle book i uploaded.
am not expecting much from this since this is the first kindle produced...

and effort has to be made to make sure that the cover makes a whole lot of sense...

Those of you asking for kindle software...
You don't need any software to write your book
Just write your book in microsoft and when saving it
Make use of the 97-2000 doc.
Remember its doc and not docx that you will be saving on...

About cover for your kindle book.
Well since what am writing are low price I just simply use microsoft to and create a table with the border thinkened in black and simply paste a catchy image in the centre and the name of your book at the top.
You authors name below the image and if you have any sub topic u can fix it either at the top of the image or below the image...

And when saving the image, make sure u save as a web page and simply use a screen capture software to copy what u have created into jpeg...

That was what I did that made my book to be accepted and it was formatted well when I previewed it...

@mk82, Have you thought of listing your kindle ebooks on other platforms just like Amazon? That would increase your sales.

When I publish, I am not going to enroll on KPD Select program cos I will like to simultaneously list my ebooks on up to 4 platforms
as I feel this will mean more greens.

I created the cover myself for the book...
I used microsoft word...

thats a nice sales of kindle books sold there...

i guess the key is to always keep writing and publishing...

Want to ask, when listing your book, do you choose the worldwide option or select the country that you want your books to be displayed in...
For me I choose worldwide when I was uploading my short book....

The normal rent for the flat is 250k per annum,
Other charges like maintenance, commision and agreement is what makes it up to 340k...

And also, the place is not at ijede... I said ijede road of which the building is still very far from ijede... If you are conversant with the area... The house is exactly beside the road at cele bus-stop with shops in front of it and just like 15seconds walk to where the catholic hospital is....

I advice u enroll all ur books. Amazon Prime members will b able to borrow ur book free within d 3 months enrollment period. At d end of each month, a particular amount is shared among all d borrowed books. dis can sometimes b up to $2 per borrow.I've had books dat got more dan 40 borrows in one month.dats extra $80.
for November $1.1million has been set aside for dis.
The KDP select program also gives you 5 days of free promotion for ur book every 3 months. dis helps u to get more sales.Phew!don't like long typing on mobile.

I just published a short kindle book now on amazon hoping to publish more this week for just 1.99 using an alias name... Am not expecting it to sell... I just wanted to have a feel of it so that it will be come easier publishing the next one which I know will be better than this one.

Also can u talk a bit more about the lending part of the book on amazon...

How do you make effective good use of it...

I already at least understand the research part of it in getting to write about what's selling...

To be succesfull on kindle, you do not need to fall in love with the niches... As long as you get a niche to work with... Simply do your research and put all your findings into writing... That's all you need to do...
I currently have like 3 short books that I want to upload and start focusing more on publishing books on amazon before the end of the year.....

The majority priority is focusing on the niche, just like the op has, checking out the amazon best seller...
Also head over to google and find other people that are into kindle publishing and read about them and what they do so that you can understand more on the biz...

Have known about kindle for years now but never took action on it cos I was always waiting for the right time but I realised that there is no right time... Just do it... If you are waiting for everything to be perfect, you might end up not starting at all....

I have learnt my own lesson, though I do well in other biz that I do.... But that's just what I want to share with you...

Hello to you all, sorry for my absence of recent... have been having some major decision issues that i had to deal with this past few weeks with my parent, brothers and myself which has made me to not really been involved with trading as i ought to ....

you will be seeing me from time to time dropping analysis especially on gold that you know me for... so here is this week analysis on gold

With the recent down movement of gold, one cannot but hope to see a further movement of gold down but not without a move back up before continuing its downward movement.

If you have been conversant with the movement of gold, you will note that whenever there is a a move down like this, there is tend to be a retracement before heading down but the question now is how long will the retracement be before the continuation of the move down.

From the 4 hour chart, gold broke the 1277 area and also the weekly and monthly pivot level that is there, though i will still post another chart when the trading session begin to show you the new weekly and monthly levels.

But presently from my chart, the blue and the red trendline is what i will be watching out for, a break up the red line should push price up to 1300 area while a break down and we will be seeing 1225 area this week...

So trade according to what your system gives you and ensure you consider your risk before trading.

for those of you that missed the gold sell, though i didnt post the sell signal but from my analysis yesterday on the pair
1328 didn't hold cos i said price was going to buy there...
here is my chart again with what am expecting to do...
will be taking another sell on this pair when price gets to 1300 area or if price fails to break the 1289 area...

what i did was to link my payoneer Fiverr Card to the account on peopleperhour site and its already verified,
so any payment sent will go directly to my card which is better than paypal cos i can easily withdraw cash through the ATM

Analysis on GOld this week.

From my chart setup, we can see that price rejected the 1351 which is the weekly resistant since from the look at at fridays price action, gold was a buy, expect to see more upward movement this week in the price because ever since price has failed to break the 1300 area, price has been moving in a higher high movement which you can see from my chart which makes me believe that price
will continue to move up.
Now for possible entry positions, since the first 4 hour candle has failed to go above the 1351 i expect price to retest 1328 area as that is only the best entry as i see for a buy or probably if price does get there before reversing, the next place will be a watchout for a break of 1351.6 area and take a buy with stop just below 1351 if taking from there or below 1322 if taking around the 1328 area.

As usual, my mondays are majorly for monitoring to see what price want to do before entry any trade later in the day probably at night when the market would have decided where its going.

i might be wrong with this analysis so please feel free to drop yours so that i know...

1999- 5 months strike
2001- 3 months strike
2002- 2 weeks strike
2003- 6 month strike
2005- 3 days strike
2006- 1 week strike
2009- 4 months strike
2010- 5 month and 1 wk strike
2011- 3 months strike
2013- currently at 11wks now.

From the technical side of things, this strike will have to test the 3 month (12 weeks) low
of the strike which if broken lead lead to an extra 4 weeks of a continuation of the strike
Long term view of the strike is 6 month as history will want to repeat itself again
by testing the 2003 lows which is 6 months.

So dear student, brace up your for more strike action as the momentum looks strong should this
week fails to end the strike...

today was a sell day for gold having it to break through the trendline, monthly pivot and rejected by the weekly support area...
now this is a critical moment on gold as anything can happen in this region.
As long as the monthly pivot is not broken, we are likely to see price still moving further lower, which will give us the opportunity to sell
at at the break of the trendline down on the chart while a break of the monthly pivot up which now turns the area into a support wait for the candle to retest the support before taking a long trade...

Mr Tom, can u please just stop this mess up that has been happening since yesterday... it was because of this that i wanted to stop posting here when all this started. You lost on a trade that was made here neglecting the basic fundamental rule of forex... i guess you were looking to make some fast cash on the trade that ended in a loss. Forex trading doesnt work 100% and that is the reason why everybody have their ups and down... it is our management and emotion technique and trading plan that is making us to understand the market better and take our own piece of the cake using strict risk management which differs from others... what has happened has happened and you should accept such, dust your feet and move on. going through the thread you were saying that he should refund you back the money if i get that right... First of all,you were the one that took the trade with your hand without confirming the trade, using possibly high lot size...
so stop all this and try to restrategize in understanding the market better and also for your own good.... Because of one lost trade doesnt mean that the person trading is not good at what he's at... every person here has lost some money at one point and even your own $100 is nothing compared to what i have lost ... over $4000 in total when i was just starting...

so please let the newbies coming in here to learn from the thread and dont just stop because you lost just one trade (i guess its your first time you are trading live) and focus more on getting the skill and knowledge that you need to know about the market...

NOTE: this is a thread filled with different personality behaviour from different people which is also one the reason why the behaviour of humans goes a long way to how successful one will be especially in trading and you should understand that too...

Its just the passion that some of us have that is still making us to stay in this thread, if not nobody would have taught of creating this thread in the first place and everybody will be better off on their own...
