Egypt v Senegal en-route Qatar will knock off one of Salah & Mane/Mendy. That for me will be the biggest determinant.

If Senegal goes through, the PL & UCL will decide between Mane & Mendy.

If Egypt goes through.....Mane & Mendy are OUT.

It has already be determined sadly...what Mendy has achieved within this year and last cannot be ignored anymore...
