Autos / Fuel Consumption In Your Car by Onpointautomana: 5:16am On Sep 10, 2019
A high Gas mileage is the first sign that something is going wrong with your car. This is because whenever the ecu of your car tries to compensate for a drop in performance in any cylinder, it does this by introducing more fuel into the already active cylinders thereby affecting fuel consumption directly.
This goes to say that whenever there is a noticeable drop in gas mileage kindly have your vehicle checked by qualified technicians to eliminate the impending faults before they manifest.

Don’t forget your car is your valuable asset allow us to care for it properly.

the whole process shouldnt last up to 30 secs sir. This is much easier than having to take down your entire dashboard as some cars require only to realise that tge unit is ok.

Also this is only an advice, HVAC jobs are delicate and potentially hazardous and dangerous and should be handled only by qualified technicians. That is we do at onpoint automanagers Ltd.

How to identify a bad ac evaporator:
Before you go about replacing your ac evaporator it is best to carry what we call the "3 step" procedure to ascertain that the leak in the system is from there:
1. start your engine first thing in the morning
2. Put the Air conditioner fan at full blast.
3. Place your nose close to the air vents by the passenger side and inhale deeply, if your percieve a strong semi burnt smell; you can be certain you have a case of a leaking ac evaporator if your don't percieve any anything it's best you check out other areas in the system for leaks.

Car Talk / How To Identify And Differentiate Noises From Your Car's Suspension by Onpointautomana: 6:02pm On Apr 08, 2019
Considering the deplorable state of the roads on which we drive our vehicles, there is bound to be a quick breakdown of our suspension components; from our shock absorbers to stabiliser bar linkages, to bar bushings, ball joints, tie rods, brake pads, drive shafts etc. While some of the sounds they make at their lowest points are quick easy to identify and single out, some of these components make noises that can be confused for other components which may still be in good working conditions . This article is not conclusive and opinions and ideas from other professionals are highly welcome, this is supposed to serve as a guide to intimate us on both the urgency of the job to be done and the associated cost.

Shock absorbers: the noise from this component is usually a constantly rubbling sound that continues both in good roads and bad roads. When the pad is bad an additional heavier sound is added especially when deep potholes are approached in top speed.

Stabiliser linkages: this component will most likely make a metallic clunking sound in bad roads and semi smooth roads. This is as a result of the clearance in the socket which will cause the metals to bounce off each other in rough terrains.

Ball joints: the noise from this component is very similar to linkages and will also make also manifest under the same conditions as linkages. However when moving on speeds over 80km/h there will be a noticeable vibration on your steering wheel.

Tie-rods: there may not be any major or audibly noticeable noise from this component, however there will be a little clearance in your steering wheel. There will also be heavy vibration of your steering wheel on top speeds.

Brake pads: a squeaking sound when you step on your brakes, this does not apply to all cars and situations, some times visual inspection is required to properly ascertain there conditions.

Brake discs: a much heavier squeaking sound and vibration of the brake pedal when applied on higher braking speeds.

This will be continued.

Your opinions and comments are very much welcomed. Thank you
Autos / Service Your Car Regularly And Let It Serve You by Onpointautomana: 1:24am On Feb 28, 2019
Unfortunately many car owners take the service routine of their vehicles for granted. Engine oil is the life blood of an engine therefore if anything goes wrong with the engine oil you can be sure that a major engine issue is on it's way.
It is important you understand the kind of oil recommended for your engine and also the recommended interval between each oil change; because lube carried out without the recommended oil grades will be less effective and will ultimately cost more.
When this seemingly simple but extremely important routine is ignored it will lead to build up of sludge which will drastically reduce the lubricating power of the oil in the engine leading to poor supply within the engine which will manifest outwardly in form of: 1. High feel mileage 2. Knocking sound and rough idle
