happney65: You get it..Most people spend all the money as it comes in..All they do is to live expensive lifestyles
My sister once told me a case of one lady that sells recharge card few metres away from her office..she was working at the former intercontinetal bank then..She said this girl used to come save everyday at her bank. She already had a rapport with the girl..There was this day she came to make deposits as usual and she just decided to peep into her balance, she said this girl beside the road that sells just recharge cards and makes calls beside the road in Marina Lagos had over a Million naira in her account..And this was in 2007/08 or thereabout before intercontinental became Access Bank
My sister wey be Bank staff with suit for AC no get 1million Kobo for hand..She said she was surprised and amazed..By now am sure that girl wont be beside the road anymore..That is why I pity some people that think you have to be a Multi Millionaire before you build a house..Just Imagine..Some will even say na House them wan buy..At least if you want to buy a house, you must have had Ten Million naira at least sitting in ur account at one time or the other,You never get 10million you dey claim what is not..
This Life isnt what we see..At times we might get money today, tommorow we fit no get..Getting a house for example is an assest and something that can and will never ever depreciate..The Akara Woman get sense..She deserves a National Award I concur with you jare, one need to wise up in all aspect. Mind you I bought my first property as an undergraduate back then when villagers at My school area were begging boys to buy land. I jeje use the little I got from my dry cleaning business to buy land at a student area. Ever sense I have merited the habit of saving and investing from my mother. When I see young guys buying cars and living expensive life, I just laugh and ask myself where have they hide there thinking cap. Well, not everyone wants to start small sha but the earlier the better one realize property investment is the best at any point in time. |

pek: I guess this is just an inspirational piece and nothing more. Have we stopped to think maybe the woman got a lump sum as a result of her husband's demise and channeled it into the building? Or we just think it is child's play to erect a storey building from akara sales in few months from a loan of #50,000? Lump sum or little amount of cash coming for her is about financial prudency. Most people don't invest into the future, they live by the day and forget what is to come. The Akara woman has judicious made use of what she has in her disposal. Abeg hail the woman for her doggedness. |

nkwuocha: This is a very bad looking and I know for sure the taste won't be rich.I suggest a little butter to the instead of groundnut oil.Yeast is not good, baking powder is ok! Preservatives not necessary.Again you rolled it in a bad way.
Next time don't use canned foods as your protein.Go natural roast fish. You can spice your fish and use your oven to roast!
My mother is a pastry woman.
I give you 10% At least appreciate his effort. |
Business › Re: Is N300k Enough To Start Phone Accessories Importation Business? by onwardsoldier(m): 10:00am On Mar 05, 2019 |
Benosky011: If you talk about importation of electrical materials, i'ld say no no no. It can't even go 1/10.
For phone accessories, I have no idea. But, since your capital is small, you need to make friends with the guys in phone accessories mkt so they can put you tru on goods with popular demand in the mkt.
You can also try what we call groupage importation. This means pooling resources together with people with small capital too and importing something big. Note that in importation, the smaller your capital, the lesser your gain. But with groupage, you can put up upto 5m and import, then maximise your profit. The group you imported with can also help you mkt your goods.
Note: since you are starting, you may not need a shop. You can always rent a warehouse on temporary basis. Valid point here, however he needs to learn first and strategize his plan(s) on getting customers and long term goals. |

amaniro: IT IS NOT! Go into something more realistic.
Try agriculture.... Chicken as Easter dey reach Talking from experience, agriculture is capital intensive, requires patience and risky especially for student and first timer. I would advise he go for apprentiship from someone in the business and learn.. Phone accesories/ tech business is lucrative and quick in return. |

Nairalanders, someone is toying with his job ooooooo because of masters oooo You want to resign to a lesser position when you can choose a part-time course. Education › Re: Advantages Of Attending A Military School. by onwardsoldier(m): 3:31pm On Dec 12, 2016 |
officialPMN: Most people think going to a military school has disadvantages or takes a bad toll on children but today on this post I am going to highlight the reasons why going to a military secondary school isn't a bad idea. 1) Discipline Everyone knows that you can not mess up around uniformed men. They are rules for every activity that goes on in the school and you totally know what an army slap feels like not to talk of flogging so you can not think of going against the rules. In military schools like command secondary school, Discipline is the first word on their motto before knowledge.
2) knowledge I can confidently tell you that military schools can boast of having the best teachers cause there teachers are carefully selected by the Federal Ministry of Defence yes I said ministry of Defence their teachers are under the ministry of defence not education. So you can be sure of having the best education.
3) Smartness You can not compare the smartness of a child that attended a military school to other schools. Because while they are busy trying to outsmart a soldier you are busy trying to outsmart a civilian you know the difference. When you spend six years outsmarting a soldier trust me you are totally going to survive on the streets.
3) Barrack Influence Attending a military school makes you get in contact with barrack peeps as well as the barrack itself. Not everything in the barracks is actually a social vice there is this feeling and vibe that comes from the barracks it grooms you to be tough for the task ahead in the outside world.
4) Easy choice of a career path When you are in an environment for long it tends to affect your choice of career in the future. Being around the military men makes you see the beauty and importance of their profession so its not always difficult to pick a career. Too be continued..... You nailed it, there is nothing like the Military school. You have an edge among your peers at every point in time, the courage to withstand storm will be in you at every point in time.

Career › Re: Big Question... Will You Quit Your Job To Start A Business?? by onwardsoldier(m): 7:26am On Dec 08, 2016 |
skedman: my candid advice for you is not to leave your present employment for catfish business, although it is lucrative but that was then .I was into the business I had to stop it because it was no longer profitable . The market women are the problem, they determine the market price themselves and at the end of the day if care is not taken you won't make your capital. Also you have to watchout for the weight . I invested 100,000 to my fish pond business hoping to see more than that because my fish were big but had no weight I fed them with coppens and later local feed when those market women came in group to buy however,I only saw 19,000 ,out of this I have to pay the guy working for me .if it was you will you continue ? Nevermind you can use my weakness to develop yours |
