Even in most cases, wen a univ is recieving a visitor from d education ministry either for accreditation or its likes, they hire poly lectures to stand in for them simply cos most of them can't defend themselves and i begin to ask can somebody give wat he doesn't have?
Education / Re: Hnd And B.sc Are Now Equal? by Onyefoto: 11:02pm On Jul 08, 2014
Yomieluv: that's true, funniest thing is that the govt was also part of the discrimination..eg-a different salary scale for Bsc,and HNd holders.
dats d main issue n dats wat we are fighting for
Education / Re: Hnd And B.sc Are Now Equal? by Onyefoto: 4:43am On Jul 08, 2014
Yomieluv: Even if the law made them equal, will the same law stop organisation from discrimination when choosing for vacancy, Hell no!

thegreatman4ww:

I strongly believe an educated reasonable fellow who don't waste their time and money shld not make further aurguement after these two posts.
Polytechnic should never be scrapped, the problem we have with our poly students is that many if them went to poly because they were unable to met the requirements of studying at Universities and not because the chose to.

Moreover the policy on education is very clear on this that is y poly and other technical colleges were not recognized in the Nigerian educational system (6-3-3-4), they were established to provide TVE (Technical and Vocational Education) to produce low and mid-level manpower for the society acceptable nationwide while Universities were established to provide high level managerial education to the society acceptable universally.
But because our defective educational system that had and still producing defective graduates do not allow clear different between the two and this was eventually led to some our leaders and same like citizen calling for equality of University (universal) and Polytechnic (local/national) products.
Only an uneducated literate will be calling for their equality.
smh....university dis,university dat,just look at ur expression.lol

felai: Hmmm, OLISEH

A JOKE I LIKE

After their return from Brazil World cup, the Super Eagles were so ashamed of their defeat that they decided to disguise themselves so as not to be recognized. Mikel disguised himself as a monk and was walking on the street when suddenly an old lady walked up to him and said "Mikel how far na?". Mikel was so surprised that he ran away annoyed that the old woman could recognize him despite his disguise.
................
Disappointed, he went home and dressed as a pregnant woman, again he bumped into the same old lady and she said, "Mikel how far na, see as you just run the other day". Confused and frustrated Mikel asked "but mama how do you keep recognizing me despite my disguises"? The old lady replied: "Hahaha, Mikel na wa for you oh, look me well na, It's me Yobo" grin grin grin
though funny but stil abusive, they tried,i see no reason y dey shuld be ashamed

Like i always do,i woke up on dat day(probably on wednesday),picked my tecno phone to login to nairaland but i couldn't,i tried using nokia but i wasn't able to,wow!..i told my room-mate (who though he doesn't enjoy nl) that nairaland is having a very big problem and he still realised how i felt knowing fully well how addicted i am to nairaland....it made life boring for me,checking if it has been repaired like every 30 minutes but thank God finally,my darling site.....NAIRALAND is working again.

Can you share with us how you felt on discovering that NL wasn't working and how you managed the situation?
