Foreign Affairs / US President, Donald Trump Bans Citizens Of 6 Countries From Entering The USA by onyekamikkyval: 2:38am On Jan 26, 2017
President Donald Trump has ordered that the erection of wall along the US-Mexico border begin Wednesday.

He said this yesterday as he unveiled his actions on border and national security.
He has indicated temporary ban on immigration from Muslim countries deemed a ‘threat to national security’.
Trump will also sign other domestic immigration enforcement measures that will include targeting sanctuary cities that decline to prosecute undocumented aliens.
The president posted a tweet on Tuesday evening signaling that major announcements were in the offing.
‘Big day planned on NATIONAL SECURITY tomorrow (Wenesday)’, Trump tweeted.
‘Among many other things, we will build the wall!’
The new Trump directives will also stop most refugees including those from Syria coming to America while vetting processes are reviewed.
The one exception is religious minorities fleeing persecution – which would apply to Christians fleeing Syria and other Muslim majority countries.

In total the 6 immediate actions are as follows: Release of funds toward the construction of a wall along the southern border; Target so-called ‘sanctuary’ cities that decline to prosecute undocumented aliens; Institute a four-month freeze on admission of all refugees.
Others are Temporarily ban nationals from Muslim-majority countries that are ‘terror prone’; Halt visas to people from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen; Grant exceptions to Christians and other minorities fleeing Muslim persecution.

Sports / Crystal Palace Sack Manager Alan Pardew After Disastrous Run Of Results by onyekamikkyval: 4:22pm On Dec 22, 2016
Crystal Palace have sacked manager Alan Pardew with the club 17th in the Premier League.
Pardew was appointed on a three-and-a-half-year deal in January 2015 but the 55-year-old has been dismissed after a run of one victory in 11 games.
Palace have taken just 26 points from their last 36 Premier League matches and are only one point above the relegation zone.
Former England boss Sam Allardyce is the bookmakers' favourite to take over.
"Personally I have a lot of good feelings for this football club and am sad that my time there has ended," Pardew, who made more than 100 appearances for Palace as a player between 1987 and 1991, said in a statement.
"I feel that I have a special bond with the club and hope that hasn't been affected."
Chairman Steve Parish added: "During his tenure, Alan's hard work and dedication were without question. He has improved so many areas of the club."
Palace have yet to confirm who will take charge of the team for their league fixture at Watford on Boxing Day.

Foreign Affairs / Daddfi's PROPHECIES by onyekamikkyval: 11:58am On Oct 03, 2016
Muamar Gaddafi's Prophecies:
"I will not go into exile to any foreign country. I was born here in Libya, and I will die here. This country was a dessert, and I turned it into a forest, where everything can grow.
No one Love this land more more than its citizens. If Europe and America tells you that they love you, be careful. They love the wealth of your land. The oil and not the people. They are helping you to fight against me but, it will be more wise for you to fight against them because they are fighting against your future and progress.
My message to you the people of Libya is, they are helping you to kill me but you will pay the price because you will suffer. And my message to you America and Europe is, you will kill me, but be ready to fight a never ending TERRORISM.
Before you realise your ignorance, terrorists will be hitting you at your doorstep."
GADDAFI once told the Nigerian and British governments to divide Nigeria into two, so that the Hausa/Fulani (Moslems), Yoruba (Christians) and Biafrans/Igbo, can live as neighbouring countries.
It's good we look at these 16 REAL REASONS WHY COL. GADDAFI WAS KILLED:
1. There is no electricity bill in Libya, electricity is free for all its citizens.
2. There is no interest on loans, banks in Libya are state-owned and loans given to all its citizens are at a 0% interest by law.
3. Home is considered a human right in Libya. Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a
home.
4. All newlyweds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinars (US$50,000) from the government to buy their first apartment.
5. Education and medical treatments are free in Libya. Before Gaddafi, only 25% of Libyans were literates. Today, the figure stands at 83%.
6. Libyans taking up farming as a career, they received farm land, a farming house, equipment, seeds and livestock to kick- start their farms – all for free.
7. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they needed in Libya, the government funded them to go abroad for it.
8. In Gaddafi's Libya, if a Libyan buys a car, the government subsidized 50% of the price.
9. The price of petrol in Libya is $0. 14 per liter.
10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion – now frozen globally.
11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation, the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found.
12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens.
13. A mother who gave birth to a child under Gaddafi, received US $5,000 as child benefit upfront.
14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs $ 0.15
15. 25% of Libyans have a university degree
16. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great Man- Made River Project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country.
If this is called "Dictatorship", I wonder what type of Leadership Democrats have!!
May your place be in Jannat Fridaus.

Sports / Scholes Hopes Mourinho Keeps Giggs At Manchester United by onyekamikkyval: 12:38pm On May 25, 2016
Ryan Giggs’ vast knowledge of Manchester United should be retained by Jose Mourinho if he takes charge at Old Trafford, says Paul Scholes.
Mourinho is poised to replace Louis van Gaal in the Old Trafford hot seat after the Dutchman was sacked on Monday, just two days after leading United to FA Cup glory.
Giggs served as Van Gaal’s assistant for two years, and had been tipped to take the top job after the former Barcelona coach’s planned departure in 2017, but Mourinho is expected to hire his own staff, including long-term right-hand man Rui Faria. This has put Giggs’ future in doubt, with reports suggesting that the 13-time English Premier League winner may take the opportunity to launch a managerial career elsewhere.
But Scholes believes his former team-mate and close friend’s in-depth knowledge of United should be cultivated by Mourinho and his staff.
“I’ve not spoken to him for a few days but hopefully he will still be involved,” Scholes told talkSPORT.
“He’s got great experience, he knows the club inside out.
“I think everybody involved with the club and the fans especially would love him to be involved in some way – whether it is assistant or just helping him (Mourinho) being around the place.
“He has been there for nearly 30 years now, he knows the players, he knows what type of football is expected and hopefully he can be of assistance somehow.”

Politics / Court Dismisses Metuh’s Application To Travel Abroad For Treatment by onyekamikkyval: 12:18pm On May 25, 2016
The Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, has dismissed the application filed by the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh, asking for permission to travel abroad for his medical treatment.
The counsel to Mr. Metuh had on May 23 informed the court of an application dated May 16 seeking permission to allow Mr. Metuh travel to the United Kingdom for five weeks to attend to his failing health.
The counsel, Onyeachi Ikpeazu, had also asked the court to permit the release of Mr. Metuh’s passport so that if the first application is granted, he (Mr. Metuh) would be able to travel for the proposed treatment of his ailing spinal cord.
The trial judge, Okon Abang, had on that day said the court would decide on Mr. Metuh’s application on May 25.
Mr. Abang had also asked both counsels on May 23 whether his court had the jurisdiction to grant the second application by Mr. Ikpeazu, seeking for the release of Mr. Metuh’s international passport.
After listening to the arguments of both counsel, Mr. Abang stated in his ruling, Wednesday, which the application seeking the release of Mr. Metuh’s international passport should not have come to his court in the first place.
He noted that the decision was made with regards to the nature of Mr. Metuh’s trial and that the court cannot hold back its decision.
Mr. Abang further said the present condition of the defendant should not be a reason for the law to be compromised.
“Proceedings in a court of law is not based on sentiments,” the judge said.
“The court cannot set aside its decision. I have no jurisdiction to do so.”
He added that since the court cannot grant Mr. Metuh his second prayer, there would be no need to consider the application for Mr. Metuh’s trip abroad.
“Having dismissed prayer two, it is not important to discuss the merits of prayer one,” Justice Abang said.
“Discussing prayer one amounts to an academic exercise.”
The judge said Mr. Metuh had the prerogative of approaching the Appeal Court to request for the release of his passport, adding that when the higher court decides on that, he would then have to consider the merits of the first application.
“In case I am overruled in Court of Appeal, with respect to prayer 2, I will still make findings concerning prayer 1.
He said the medical report by Mr. Metuh’s doctor, Ugwanyi Ugochukwu, did not include any reason why Mr. Metuh cannot have his treatment done in Nigeria.
Although Mr. Abang noted that he would not argue with Mr. Ugochukwu regarding the said report, he would not agree that Mr. Metuh could not be treated in Nigeria if the applicant does not provide such evidence before the court.
“Their is no evidence brought forth by Mr. Metuh that none of the teaching hospitals in Nigeria can treat him of his sickness.
“We have so many teaching hospitals here that can treat such illness,” Mr. Abang said.
He said the court also had a duty to consider the rights of the prosecution.
“The prosecution has expressed fear that he will disappear. In a case like this; the court must be extremely careful. It must balance the competing rights of the defence, and that of the prosecution, before making its decision,” Mr. Abang held.
Politics / Nnamdi Kanu Can’t Get Bail, Appeal Court Rules by onyekamikkyval: 11:51am On May 25, 2016
The Court of Appeal in Abuja has affirmed the decision of the Federal High Court to deny a bail application by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
Mr. Kanu is facing treason charges, alongside two others, Benjamin Madubgwu and James Nwawuisi, at the Federal High Court Abuja.
Mr. Kanu had on May 5 approached the appeal court through his counsel, Chucks Muoma, challenging the decision of the Federal High Court to deny him bail.
Mr. Muoma had asked the court to determine whether the ruling by Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court was not an aberration of Mr. Kanu’s fundamental rights as stipulated in the Constitution.
Mr. Muoma also prayed the Appeal Court to determine whether or not Mr. Tsoho was right in making Mr. Kanu’s dual citizenship an excuse for refusing him bail.
According to Mr. Muoma, the ruling was granted as though it was the first appellant alone that made the application for bail.
In its ruling however, a three member-panel, led by Justice Abdul Aboki, held that the lower court was right in relying upon Mr. Kanu’s dual citizenship, as a basis for denying his application for bail.
The court said the chances of Mr. Kanu returning to his other country was high, and that the laws of his other country may prevent the trial from reaching its logical end.
The court also ruled that the charge against Mr. Kanu and the other defendants was grievous and involved a threat to the state, therefore an application for bail would not be entertained.
Mr. Aboki also stated that the Federal High Court acted within its jurisdiction in the said ruling, and hence affirmed the ruling of the court.

The 8 BIG Differences Between Men’s and Women’s Brains

Many women find it incredibly difficult to understand men. What you ladies need to understand is that we are totally different, and instead of giving up, all of us should try to embrace the differences and accept each other for who we really are. Only then, we can use all of this knowledge to our advantage. The following article illustrates the differences between the $exes and explains how you can use these differences to your advantage.

Modern science has allowed us to study the male and female brains and come up with conclusions as to why we are so different. This is mainly down to how our brains are structured, and that’s what this article is about. It will not teach you how to make him fall in love with you but it will show you why we are so different and as soon as you understand these differences and accept them as reality, it will become much more easier to relate to men.

Human Relationships: Women communicate much better than men, they focus on how to create a solution that works for the entire group, talking through issues, and utilizes non-verbal cues such as tone, emotion and empathy. Men on the other hand, tend to be more task oriented, less talkative and more isolated. Men have a hard time understanding emotions that are not spoken, while women tend to intuit emotions and emotional cues. These differences clearly explain why men and women sometimes have difficulty in communication and why men-to-men friendships look different from friendships among women.

What does this mean? If you ever had a conversation with a man and got deep into a subject but yet felt like you spoke a completely different language well, this is to blame. In your first steps to understanding men this is the first thing you need to comprehend, MEN ARE DIFFERENT. They are so different in fact that sometimes we can’t even communicate but, if you can try to lower yourself to our level of communication, which means vocalizing the majority of your emotions, you’ll have a much better chance at properly communicating with a man.

Now, I’m not telling you to vocalize absolutely everything that you’re feeling but when a man asks you if something is wrong and you say “Nothing” you need to understand that unless you actually TELL HIM what’s wrong, he won’t have the slightest clue. Sure, you’re best friends get you and maybe even your husband if you’ve been together for years but, the average guy or even your 2 year long boyfriend won’t. Lowering yourself down to our more simple way of communicating will only make life easier for all of us.

Left brain vs both hemispheres: Experts have proven that men process better in the left hemisphere while women tend to process equally well between the two hemispheres. This difference clearly shows why men are stronger with left-brain activities and approach problem solving from a task-oriented perspective while women typically solve problems more creatively and are more aware of feelings while communicating.
What does this mean? This task oriented approach means men think in the following manner when trying to solve a problem: “In order to solve this problem I will need to get this done first, then this other thing, then this and then they all fit into place and get this done”. Multitasking? There’s no such thing as multitasking when it comes to men…This also explains why men get angry when you are multitasking (e.g talking to them and doing something else) because they simply can’t understand what you’re doing. This is another prime example that will get you closer to accepting just how different men are and proves why men are better in some jobs (programming, business) and women in others (teaching, caretaking).
Mathematical Abilities: An area in the brain called the inferior-parietal lobule (IPL) is typically significantly larger in men, especially on the left side, than in women. This is the section responsible with mathematical ability, and probably explains why men perform higher in mathematical tasks than do women.
What’s even more interesting is that this area of the brain that was abnormally large in Einstein. The IPL also processes sensory information, and the larger right side in women allows them to focus on, “specific stimuli, such as baby crying in the night”.
Reaction to stress: In stress situation men have a response reaction that resembles “fight or flight” while women react with a “tend and befriend” strategy. Psychologist Shelly E. Taylor first came up with the phrase “tend an befriend” after noticing that during times of stress women tend to take care of themselves and their children (tending) and form strong group bonds (befriending).
The reason behind these different reactions to stress is down to hormones. When someone is under stress the hormone oxytocin is released into the body. In men, testosterone reduces the effects of oxytocin as it is produced in high volumes during stress; this explains the reason for the “fight or flight” response. In women, estrogen amplifies the effects of oxytocin resulting in calming and nurturing feelings.
Language: The two sections in the brain which are responsible for language have been found to be significantly larger in women than in men, indicating one reason why women typically excel in language-based subjects and in language-a$$ociated thinking.
It’s also important to mention that men typically process language in one hemisphere whilst women process it in both. This differences offers a bit of protection in case of a stroke, as women may be able to recover fully from a stroke affecting the language areas in the brain while men may not have this same advantage.

Emotions: The most obvious difference is probably the emotions. Women have a larger deep limbic system than men, it allows them o be more in touch with their feelings and better able to express themselves, which promotes bonding with others.

This is one of the reasons why women serve as caregivers for children. Sadly this comes with a downside as this larger deep limbic system also opens women up to depression, especially during times of hormonal shifts such as after childbirth or during a woman’s menstrual cycle.

What does this mean? Again, as I’ve mentioned above, women are much better at communicating than men so, if you want to be understood by a man you need to lower yourself to his level of communication. Vocalize what you are feeling and he will have a much easier time in understanding you. Don’t give up saying, “ah men don’t understand me”, try to make them understand and you will see that your love life success will greatly improve.

Also, it’s worth mentioning that some men understand these differences themselves and will, in turn, try to take advantage of your emotional brain by making you feel good all of the time. Sure, this may sound great, but in reality many of the men that understand this concept, often use it for their own benefit (I know because I used to do it…). However, it’s also important to note that many of these men live to please and if you can “keep” them you’re on the right track for a lifetime of happiness.

Romance / 5 Differences Between Real Love And Attachment by onyekamikkyval: 5:39am On Nov 03, 2015
1. Love is selfless, attachment is selfish

When you’re in love, you focus on making the other person happy. You’re always thinking of ways to make sure that your partner feels loved and fulfilled. You aren’t keeping score, arguing over who helps more, or fighting over who is supposed to wash the dishes.

You don’t emotionally blackmail your partner, try to manipulate them, or seek to dominate the relationship. When you’re merely attached to someone, you’re focused upon the ways in which they can make you happy.

You become heavily dependent upon your partner and may even try to control him or her to avoid abandonment. Instead of confronting your own issues, you use your partner to improve your self-esteem and fill a void within you. You believe that they are responsible for your happiness and become frustrated and angry if they fail to bring you contentment.

2. Love is liberating, attachment is controlling

Mutual love allows you to be your true self. Your partner encourages you to be who you genuinely are and you won’t be afraid to expose your weaknesses. Mutual trust develops and becomes a powerful catalyst for personal growth for both of you. Love is never controlling. In actuality, love transcends control. Your partner’s ability to accept you for who you are and encourage you to pursue your dreams allows you to let go of the need to control their life. Attachment, on the other hand, tends to fuel controlling behavior. You may discourage your partner from spending time with their friends, play mind games, or put an unhealthy level of focus on pleasing them. You may even try to manipulate them into staying with you regardless of their feelings.

3. Love is mutual growth, attachment is encumbering

If you’re in love, you and your partner will grow together. When both of you work to become the best versions of yourselves, you’ll become better than you could have on your own. In short, your partner stimulates your growth, and you do the same for them. In cases of attachment, your urge to control and your inability to solve your own problems restricts your growth as well as your partner’s. Your unresolved issues cause unnecessary dependence upon your significant other. Not surprisingly, this restricts the growth of both parties and makes it difficult to love in a healthy way.

4. Love is everlasting, attachment is transient

Love survives the pa$$age of time. You and your partner may ultimately breakup, be it temporarily or permanently. If you were truly in love, however, that person will always have a place in your heart and you will continue to wish them well for the rest of their life. If, on the other hand, you were merely attached to them, you will likely hold resentment after a breakup. You may even experience feelings of betrayal. These feelings stem from the a$$umption that your partner had an obligation to make you happy that, in your eyes, was not fulfilled.

5. Love is ego-reducing, attachment is ego-boosting

When in love, you become less self-centered. Your relationship serves to reduce your ego, fosters your growth, and encourages you to become less selfish and more loving. The relationship you have with your partner fuels positive changes for both of you. More importantly, you’ll both have the courage to share your weaknesses, expose your vulnerabilities, and communicate from the heart. Alternatively, relationships based on attachment are typically dominated by the ego. This is why many people repeatedly fall into a continuous stream of unsatisfying relationships, each of which involves the same, recurrent problems. You find it difficult to look within and resolve your issues. This generates dependency within your relationship, which triggers the feeling that you can’t be happy without your partner. You rely on your significant other to solve your problems or, at the very least, help you forget them. If you aren’t in love right now, I sincerely hope that you will find your soul mate and build a magnificent relationship with that person. Until then, why not work on becoming a better and more loving version of yourself? As the saying goes “Like attracts like”. If that’s the case, it’s wise to become the person that you wish to attract!
