please is Callaghan far from Sydney. I got a family member in Sydney where I can at least perch for the main time and not rush into paying rents. my campus is Callaghan, so I need to know it's proximity to Sydney. |

bamjay: please read through from part 1. these issues have been totally addressed....so as to avoid repitition...goodluck with ur admissiobs I just got refused last week and now confusion is my name. confusion would be meaningless without my name but then.. after my medical I got refused due to 1. insufficient fund 2. length of proposed stay 3. purpose of visit and 4. personal asset. wait ooo 5. Even travel history. - as in ehhnn.... so now the thing is I got admitted into BRANDON UNI. to study nursing(U.G). I did accounting here and that's just it. before I applied I was concerned about the change from ACCOUNTING TO NURSING but I waved it for students should have the right to pursue whatever career they want but now I'm thinking differently. To the Gurus in the house, what's your say on this my case and how do I tackle this effectively so I don't get refused again. firstly.....I used my Uncle's Business Account and not his personal account, It was after my refusal I heard I should have used his personal account and not a business account cos. a business account isn't controlled by one person in the mind of the V/O. secondly...why did they tick TRAVEL HISTORY. thirdly...PERSONAL ASSET I maybe understand why they ticked LENGTH OF PROPOSED STAY because For .NURSING(PRE NURSING) It takes one year to complete the program and that's what I got admitted into. Nursing first year is called pre nursing but the overall study duration is 4years. while filling my questionnaire form and the study app made outside of Canada, I typed in 1year. maybe, just maybe that's what led to the V/O ticking LENGTH OF STAY. PLEASE ANY ADVICE ON MY CASE WOULD BE WONDERFUL. |

onyemamuoc: ok thanks bro is it REALLY mandatory that one's sponsor must state how much he is going to dispend every academic year since the role of sponsorship is just about taking care of incurred expenses by the person you are sponsoring. is it really okay to start stating how much you making available ? |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by onyemamuoc(m): 7:07pm On Jul 31, 2015 |
thesoj: Your student account statement is as good as a tuition payment receipt. Just make sure you explain in your SOP (or your sponsor's letter) that the funds were transferred to cover your tuition for one year (or however long). Also attach a transfer receipt from your uncle/sponsor, showing it was he that transferred it.
The insurance policy thing you mention sounds dodgy! I can't for the life of me see how an insurance policy person would "do something" to arrange a visa for you sharp sharp. Tell him/her to explain exactly what will be done. In any case, I suggest you ignore this officer unless it is explained and sounds plausible and legal! Even still, I would ignore this offer. Sounds like the person is trying to sell you snake oil.
As per the bank statement, yes the inflow and outflow matters BUT the balance as of the date it was printed matters considerably! I'm not as concerned about the money in the account going down after the statement has been submitted... the embassy can only legally verify the authenticity of the statement not the content of the account after the statement date. But, keep in mind that the embassy reserves the right to (at a future date) ask you to send them an updated copy of the balance statement after or before your medicals -- this happened to someone in one of the earlier parts of this thread (but this rarely happens sha, from what we see on this thread).
Also, if you have these concerns, have you considered getting a co-sponsor? N4m is a bit small given that you are effectively going for a four-year program and annual costs would be at least $18,000CAD ($8000CAD tuition + $10,000CAD living expenses).
A fixed deposit in your name is not a bad idea, as long as its maturity is when you would need the money for school. You may need to explain this in your SOP. ok thanks bro |

Shegzy2912: my own suggestion is if you are sure the visa is gonna be out before the resumption date, then just register for classes. And besides, which school is that? Because that $7369cad looks cheap for my eyes o, my own tuition fee na $16000cad -it's Brandon University. -how can anybody be ''sure'' of visa..we're all just hopeful and optimistic, na God oh! -and that's the exact figure boldly written on my acceptance letter. c$7369.00 -If your tuition is c$16000, how much is your accommodation then?...my accommodation fee is c$7500 but the residence office just asked for a deposit of c$420, you get to make full payment upon arrival and after accessing your room to see if it agrees with you. |

thesoj: Paper route is better if you have a lot of documents. Otherwise, I don't see a difference (although online applicants claim they can better track their application progress).
Given that you have already paid tuition (for a year? a semester? or the whole program?), your brother-in-law should specify in his letter that he has paid your full tuition for the first year (or semester or whatnot) as a demonstration of his commitment to funding your degree. He would then indicate that the N4m balance is after the tuition payment. Please do attach the sponsor funds transfer receipt as proof that it was he that sent the money (you would also attach the payment receipt from the school). Also make sure the sponsor letter is comprehensive: sponsor should state exactly how much he would give you every year (e.g. "minimum of C$25,000 per year" ), possibly even detailing how or with what frequency he would make the payment; your bro-in-law should also explain exactly why he is sponsoring you given that he is not a direct family member (as in parent or sibling)... pls don't take this part lightly oh!
By the way it is difficult to know if a N4m balance would be ok given that you haven't told us how much your annual expenses are and how long you program is.
This link here from @pchax contains a sample sponsorship letter and affidavit of support. Do not copy it, just use it as a guide and adapt it to your specific situation.
For the school payment receipt: email the bursar's office or student accounts office. They should be able to give you a receipt for the payment, regardless of if it has been applied to your tuition. Such a receipt would only be proof that they received the money, this is all you need. This is what my sister did; we transferred one year's worth of total expenses and they provided a student account receipt. They definitely should be able to provide you with such document.
-Morning bro. yes, a paid a full session's tuition, that's for a year.
-My program's duration is four years, pre-nursing for a year and year two, three and four/final year, four years.
-I spoke with the reg and financial services, they sent what I would call an ''account statement'', detailing how much I have in my student account.
-and, I want to ask something again, My uncle has this insurance policy thing with one insurance company, when he reached one of his insurance officer, she suggested with a huge display of enthusiasm that their company would just arrange something for me and the student visa will be granted sharp sharp.
- as dis woman take talk dis thing, fear catch me, make she no go give me wetin go kill me. instead I should just make do with what I have cos I'm not my uncle's son. I know say my uncle don register him kids name for the company and I wasn't registered, how she wan take do am?
-then again, this SOA of a thing, the ending balance, total debit and total credit that constitutes it should also play a role in stimulating VOs not just the ending balance cos that's why it's called a statement. I know by the time I submit to the time they start screening my application, my uncle must have used up the 4m or at all a minimum of 1m might be left.
-should I just make alternative plan for a fixed deposit?? see if I can deposit like 2M and tell him not to even touch it. |

Shegzy2912: you should have registered for courses first before you pay your tuition fee.. and for the consent letter, I have no idea about that.. when you register for classes, the number of credit hours per Semester will decide the amount you'll pay. if it 24 credit hours, then you'll have to pay all. and besides, how much is the tuition fee? - yes true I should have but lack of appropriate info. I have contacted the student advisor(pre-nursing), she stressed it's always safer to register for courses when the student is in canada. she also talked about how students after online course registrations, ends up not showing up owing to visa struggles. -yes I also spoke to the school's financial services requesting a proof of payment for tuition yesterday. She said to produce such I have to register for courses, only then can a receipt specifically for tuition b generated. -from my research yesterday, I'm up for 15 credit hours per semester and 30 credit hours per session/year. -My tuition fee is c$7369.00, that's for 30 credit hours. - I have wired approximately c$11000 to my student account. |

make una help....every and any information is welcome!!! -which visa application route is best. paper/online -I'm using my brother in law as my sponsor and I also wanna use my dad's landed properties documents just to up my chances and see if it could also serve as home ties since my uncle isn't a direct family member. I don't know if this step is ok. -his SOP's ending balance is 4 million but the overall transaction recorded in the account is 60m for three months statement and 100m for 6months statement. is it okay ...I have paid my full tuition tho -please can anybody here help me with a sample of consent letter and sponsorship sample letter. I read about a consent form, don't know it's relationship to consent letter. -then, I emailed my school and requested for some sort of payment proof for tuition, they're now telling me to register for courses to obtain that. how does that sound? -someone please HELP OUT!...-I'm going for pre-nursing, Brandon University. |
