The issue is that I will not vote for Dr. Ikpeazu for the following reasons: 1. T.A ORJI lost the moral right to choose a successor for Abians after a woeful and embarrassing performance as Governor. 2. Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is a chip of the old reality bloc. He served as Tc chairman in 2002 and ASEPA Deputy DG. HE is part and parcel of this failed administrations that Abians seek to change immediately. 3. Abians cannot afford to have another Governor that will be in bondage at the detriment of development of Abia state. 4. Dr. Okezie is not financially stable and lacks the capacity to prosecute his governorship ambition without mortgaging the future of Abia state to his godfather - OCHENDO GLOBAL 5 Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has publicly affirmed that he will continue OCHENDO's "legacy projects" which remains a legendary scam since the history of our democracy. 6. Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is not independent minded and will continue to dance to the whims and caprices of the Governors's son whom they seek to enthrone as Speaker in the next dispensation. 7. Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu's profile is nothing compared to that of Alex Otti, who is an accomplished technocrat with an enviable and wholesome track record in the private sector. 8. Dr Okezie Ikpeazu lacks both the contact and capacity to attract investments and private sector support and funding for development in Abia state the way Dr. Alex Otti will do. 9. Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is going to spend considerable amount of Abia taxpayers money to refund Ochendo/Ikuku for billions incurred as election expenses but Dr. Alex Otti is already wealthy and has no such godfather to repay with our taxpayers money. 10. ABIANS DESERVE A COMPETE CHANGE FROM PDP TO APGA- the party that has brought development to Anambra- the gateway to South East Thank you.t |

Contrary to reports that a High Court sitting in Abia State had asked the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh, not to so parade himself, Umeh, said Thursday in Aba that the position remained intact on the strength of two Court of Appeal judgments in his favour. Addressing a crowd of party supporters at the Recreation Club, Aba, during the presentation of Dr. Alex Otti as the standard bearer of APGA in the 2015 gubernatorial election in Abia State, Umeh said two appeal courts, one sitting in Enugu and the other sitting in Abuja had earlier in their separate judgments written and declared that his tenure expires next year. He said: ‘’There are people who are saying that I am no longer the national chairman of APGA and that my tenure had expired. I want to tell you that the Court of Appeal sitting in Enugu and Abuja had in their separate judgments written and ruled that my tenure expires next year.’’ While describing those behind the report as liars and mischief makers, the APGA national chairman however urged party supporters not to entertain any fear because APGA according to him has no problems. Commenting on the APGA governorship candidate in Abia, Umeh described Otti as the best candidate for the state because he possesses a solid academic credentials laced with experience in managing people and resources and a wide network of linkages he could leverage on to transform the state. According to him, “I have been to Ngwa road, I have been to Ohanko road, I have been to Ariaria and Faulks road, I have also been to Port Harcourt road and Ogbor Hill areas of Aba and I saw that all the roads are in a deplorable state. Let me assure you that an APGA government under Otti will fix all the roads for you,’’ he the jubilant crowd. Also speaking, the Governor of Anambra State and Chairman, Board of Trusties of APGA, Chief Willie Obiano, had told party supporters that he had known Otti for a period spanning over 32 years even as he disclosed that during this period the first class economist had remained a prudent manager and good leader. He urged Abians to vote in Otti in the forthcoming general election because he has got the capacity to transform the state starting from Aba as the Dubai of Africa. adding that his administration would usher in the progress needed to secure their future and the future of their children because the APGA candidate will deliver on his campaign promises. In his acceptance speech after receiving the flag of APGA from the national leadership of the party, Otti said the event symbolises a good change that has come to Abia because the people of Abia had suffered to long because of lack of purposeful leadership. ‘’This is a great day for Abia State because change has come to Abia. Change is here. We have endured several years of bad governance and this is the time for good governance. And you cannot give what you do not have. If you do not have a future or ideas you cannot give them. But because I have them I will give them to you. ‘’Let me tell you my brothers that we don’t have any problem with anointed candidates but the anointing must be by God. If it is anointed by man say no. So we must reject anointed by man because mine is a certified inspiration. An inspiration to come and salvage Abia State, an inspiration to come and fix the roads in Abia State, an inspiration to come and fix the healthcare system in Abia State, an inspiration to fix agriculture and most importantly an inspiration to salvage my state,’’ Otti said. Continuing, the APGA candidate expressed his understanding of the plight of Abians as it relates to presence of bad roads everywhere and however pledged to create the Ministry of Aba Affairs and also declare a state of emergency in the city. |
DesChyko:am not opposing pdp but this is what is on ground now. From an impeccable source. Parents should warn their wards, to avoid being a scape goat. |
It has come to bare why the present Abia state governor slashed the school fees of Absu by 20%. He want to use the students as political thugs to stop, distrupt the movement and rallies of other political parties. I hereby urge the students of Absu to desist and reject any instructions geared to stop Pdp opponents in the state. BE WISE! |

curl from www.alexotti.com In my interaction with fellow APGA members, I spoke about our plans to build three flyover bridges in Aba. These flyovers will be located at Abayi (near Ngwa High School), Port Harcourt road and Ogbor Hill (near Enyimba hotel). These bridges will decongest traffic in the city, as well as create alternative routes for those going to Port Harcourt and Enugu, saving them precious time as they go about their businesses. In additional to this, Enyimba hotel will be turned into twin towers, becoming not just an architectural masterpiece, but also the revenue earner Dee Sam Mbakwe envisioned it to be when he built it. We will also relocate the popular Ariaria market. The truth is that the popular market has now become an eyesore. Our plan is to build a new Ariaria International Market across the express road. This new Ariaria will be a world-class shopping mall, and all occupiers of the present Ariaria that bring valid, verifiable papers for their shops will get new, air-conditioned shops in the mall. Next to this mall, we have plans to build an industrial cluster, where our young people can fully and meaningfully engage their creativity and, in so doing, create a better life for themselves, as well as a more vibrant economy for Abia. The time has come for us to look beyond oil. The blueprint for the radical transformation of Abia is being completed. In fact, International Finance Corporations (IFCs) have already indicated their interest in taking up the Industrial Cluster project to the tune of One Hundred Million Dollars! This money is not made available to everyone, but only to experts and organisations these corporations trust. At the risk of sounding immodest, permit me to say that they trust my proven financial management skills, having extended the same facility to me when I headed Diamond Bank, and having seen how judiciously their funds were used then. Apart from these IFCs, numerous other Nigerian entrepreneurs have shown their interest in investing in an Abia State with a focused leader at the helm of affairs. On education, I told our party members that free, qualitative education for every child resident in Abia is a priority for us. We do not believe in half measures, and so, already have plans for science laboratories that will compete with the best in the world, as well as fully digitized libraries in all our schools. On healthcare delivery, we envisage a not- so-distant future where Abia State will be at the centre of medical tourism in Nigeria and the West African sub-region. To this end, we plan to build real, world-class hospitals, starting with three, to be located in each senatorial zone of our state. When it comes to our women, it is my humble opinion that they have suffered enough degradation in the hand of those who ought to protect them. It is unacceptable to put women in a bus and tell them to go and wait for the governor. We must – and will – fight hard to restore the dignity of the Igbo woman. Our women must be gainfully employed, and my administration will see to this. Our youth as well, must not be allowed to become disenchanted, and/ or willing tools in the hands of politicians who do not care one bit for them. Our plan is to educate our youth so that they not only have a chance at employment, but are also employable. Those who are entrepreneurial will also receive the active support of my government, which will assist in every way we can to help them unleash their creative abilities for the betterment of themselves, their families, and the state at large. Finally, I do not believe in the question of indigenes and non- indigenes. It ought not to arise at all. As far as we are concerned, any resident of Abia is an indigene, and is therefore entitled to every service my government provides, be it free education, quality healthcare or a better standard of living. No child or person will be left behind by my administration in the name of this unbecoming discrimination. Our struggle is to rescue our state, and in so doing, create a better future for our people and children. Join hands with me as we put Abia First, bringing the much-needed radical transformation to God’s Own State. As time goes on, I will speak on each of our proposed agenda. May God bless us all, and our dear Abia State. Faithfully yours, Dr. Alex Otti, |
