Our current focus, Rudeboy, also called King Rudy, is originally named Paul Okoye. He was born on November 18, 1981, in Jos, Plateau State.


Along with his twin brother, Peter Okoye. A.K.A Mr P, they released several albums that took the name “P.Square” across Africa. The former duo also featured international artists like TI, Akon, Rick Ross, and Dave Scott. As regards awards, P Square can boast of a shelf full of Headies, MTV Music Awards, Channel O Music Video Awards and a few others, but separately, not so much awards have been recorded.


From Last Nite, Get Squared, to Invasion, their music career skyrocketed, but things took a different shape when they decided to go solo in 2016. A barber in Neshuro community of Zimbabwe reportedly faked his death after being attacked by a taxi driver and his friends for sleeping with his wife.

The barber identified as Emmanuel Chipepetseki a.k.a Chipaz, was caught red-handed in the act on March 15.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar is querying the plan by the federal government to spend 1.5 billion dollars for the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt refinery.

At the end of the Federal Executive Council meeting yesterday, the minister of state for petroleum announced the government’s plan, explaining that the repair work would be undertaken in phases for a total of 44 months.

But in a statement today the former vice president describes the proposal as a waste of resources, especially coming at a time that the nation’s economy is in dire straits.

According to him: “to therefore budget the sum of $1.5 billion to renovate or turn around the Port Harcourt refinery would appear to be an unwise use of scarce funds at this critical juncture for a multiplicity of reasons.”

Atiku suggests that the best course of action will be to privatize the refineries for more effective and efficient management.

In a comparative analysis, Mr. Atiku described the planned rehabilitation as too expensive, saying shell petroleum development company sold a refinery of similar size in the u.s. last year for $1.2 billion.

In the words of the former vice president, “we cannot as a nation expect to make economic progress if we continue to fund inefficiency, and we are going too deep into the debt trap for unnecessarily overpriced projects.”

He notes that the country’s debt which has spiked from ₦12 trillion in 2015 to ₦32.9 trillion today, is shocking enough to cause the nation to be more prudent in the way it borrows.

A young man has been given the disgrace of a lifetime after being dragged in public by his pregnant girlfriend.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has signed the bill for the Prohibition of Unlawful Societies and Cultism of 2021 into law approving 21-year jail term for convicted cultists in the State.



The State’s House of Assembly, in February, passed the anti-cultism bill, which also stipulates 15-year jail term for anyone found guilty of abetting cultists and residents who willfully allow their properties to be used as meeting points by cultists.

The Ekiti state Government which had earlier announced that it will be compensating victims of police brutality in line with the recommendation made by judicial panel of inquiry handling cases of human rights abuses by the disbanded Special- Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), has fulfilled its promise.


Governor Kayode Fayemi on Monday March 15, presented Cheques worth N507.4 million to victims of human rights violations and those whose lands were acquired for the building of the international cargo airport in the state.


Victims of police brutality were paid the sum of N7.4 million while 700 farmers, whose lands were acquired for the construction of the airport got the sum of N500 million.


Fayemi who promised that his government would carry out law reforms, policy changes and institutional strengthening that can fight crime in Ekiti and ensure justice for all, added that his government decided not to wait for six months expiration given the judicial panel of inquiry before commencing the payment. A syndicate of 13 cybercrime suspects were on Thursday March 11, arrested by operatives of the Abuja Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.



Five of the suspects were picked up at an N8m a year apartment in Gilmore Estate, Jahi, while the other eight were arrested at Katampe Extension, all in Abuja.


The raids were carried out following an actionable intelligence on their alleged criminal enterprise. iPhones, laptops, gaming consoles, 1 Toyota Avalon, and a Lexus SUV were recovered from the suspects.

A Nigerian fisherman has made a big catch after carting a giant swordfish to the seashore in the Andoni Local Government Area of River state

According to photos making rounds on social media, the fisherman’s colleagues in the Oyorokotor fishing settlement celebrated the huge catch of swordfish.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has certified the AstraZeneca vaccine safe for use in Nigeria.



The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, announced this on Friday at an event held at the National Hospital in Abuja, the nation’s capital.



He explained that the government agency cleared the vaccine for use in the country after it concluded its final test on it.



“The long-awaited day is here on which Nigerians can now join others in the global community to be vaccinated against the dreaded COVID-19 virus.



“For us in the health sector, it is a relief and the marking of the start of a tedious but hopeful exercise to see our fellow citizens develop immunity against this virus,” he told the gathering at the event.

The shocking story has been told of Sharon Swinhoe, a woman who killed her own lover and even plucked out his eyes.

The female killer was jailed for murdering her boyfriend by gouging his eyes out. However, she now died after testing positive for coronavirus in prison.

Sharon Swinhoe, 52, died in hospital on February 23 after being struck down with Covid-19 at New Hall prison near Huddersfield.

She had been transferred from the all-women prison to a nearby hospital suffering from multi-organ failure.

The Prison Service said it could not confirm the cause of death which was a matter for the coroner, but she did test positive for Covid prior to her death.

Swinhoe is one of two women to have died following a serious outbreak of the virus in the prison and an investigation into their deaths has been launched by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday said cryptocurrencies should be regulated in Nigeria instead of “killing” it.



He made the remarks during a keynote at the CBN/Bankers Committee’s Initiative for Economic Growth.
