It's very normal for ebf babies to go days without pooing! But if she's on formula you can give her warm water to drink, gentle tummy rubs and some mamas dribble warm water into the anus this helps as well.

Also check to see if you are not making the formula too thick.

So l wnt to d hospital nd complained nd they prescribed painkillers for me, said I'm healing well nd no obvious sign of complication. Will b meeting with my consultant on Friday for my two wks ff up app. With d painkiller l feel more relieved by the day.

So sorry about this teamie. Let me ask you a few questions:
How soon did you try sitting up after the op?
What meals did you start eating after the op?
The drugs given to you after the op, were you taking them regularly? What do they contain?
Do you allow water to touch the incision site while bathing?
Do you clean with cotton wool and spirit daily?
Is your stitch absorbable?

Despite all of this, you need to get to your hospital asap and insist on getting checked. Follow @liftedhand advice. She had similar experience.

Vit c, flagil, blood capsule, augumentin nd l took dem religiously
Yes water touches d site buh l asked ma doc b4 i was discharged he said l can bathe normally buh to use a separate towel to dab dry
Yes l clean more dan 6 tyms daily with spirit nd cotton wool

Onyxgem10 don't wait go back asap! and have them check the site thoroughly! If there's an oozing or odour! Let a swab be taken for lab analysis! The fever you feel is a symptom of an infection, and could be fatal if not treated asap! God forbid it for you Na so my own start.

There's no oozing or odour jus d pain nd occasional fever.
My problem nw is dat l dnt knw d procedure wit govt hospitals d consultant assigned to me dnt tink he coms everyday only Tuesdays nd Fridays nd l dnt hav his no.
Wld som1 else attend to me wen l get dere or do l hav to wait till Tuesday to b attended to

My Epistle
I cant read bac d pages l missed r too much to all ma teamies dat hav put to bed congrats.
Since l delivered l havnt logged on cos it's bin hell. Afta ma op l wore disposable pants wits pad buh l noticed my privates bcom sore nd it hots making it uncomfortably to walk I'm on d slim side so l cant use pad witout pants it would fall since l was still on admission l used d pad witout pants nd remained in bed. On Wednesday l noticed dat d wound was bleeding l complained to a nursed she looked at me as if l didn't knw wot l was talking abt wen d matron cam round l complained to her as well she removed d plaster there was blood buh she said she didnt knw wot caused it so she jus redressed d wound. On thursday ma docs cam round removed d plaster nd said l was ready to b discharged. I asked if l can take my bathe dey said l can. All dis while I've still bin unable to wear pants my privates hurt somtims l soak a small towel nd place it at d junctures of ma thighs. Meanwhile all d ppl l was op wit on d same day evn afta me r walking properly witout pains nd dey wear pants. Wen l complained abt d pains d doc said l jus did an op dat it wld stop so l wnt home. @hom it was a challenge to attend to visitors lochia was flowing nd l cant wear pants it was a challenge buh l managed. I was dressing my wound as directed by ma doc buh d areas around d incision site was swelling nd vry painful ma legs were swelling thou it didn't swell while l was preggy it swelled to d xtent of entering into ma toes evn thou l was always raising it up. I had to google my symptoms nd l found out dat thou it wasn't common buh it happens to few its called postpartum edema. Dat was wen ma mind came down a little cos l was scared somtin might have gone wrng during d op.
D swelling of d legs has eased, l asked dh to massage it for me, he massaged frm foot to knee immediately afta l started urinating more frequently under 24hrs d swelling eased.
Buh d swelling along d incision site has refused to go down nd d pain is frm hell it gets worse on a daily basis to d xtent dat somtyms it givs me fever.
I took panadol xtra today d pain subsided for like 15-20mins den cam bac dats d xtent of d pain I'm in. I was waiting for my two wks app(nxt wk friday) to go to d hospital buh at dis rate l dnt tink l can wait anymore.
Pls mamas dat has undergone cs has anyone xperiencd dis pls share.

B4 l stat my epistle lemme drop BS.
My BS
I registered antenatal with 2 private hospitals both diagnosed cs cos baby's breech + multiple fibroids hubby decided if its cs he'd rather l do it @ island maternity cos of their standards.
So l was booked for d cs on Monday 11th which will make me 38wks buh d hospital insisted l b admitted on friday for monitoring til Monday. On Thursday morning startd feeling pain in ma waist decided to bear it till Friday l was to go in for admission around 10pm d pain becam so severe l had to report to d hospital dat night doc said twas labor pains l was injected to relive d pain den was admitted nd placed on strict bed rest each time l step down frm d bed for somtin d pain coms so l jus adhered. Fastfw to monday 8.00am (1 was d first on d long list of pple for cs on dat day) l was prepped nd by 10:10am l was wheeled out of d theatre afta a successful op. Thnk God it ended in praise.

Mamas pls praise this GOD wit me who has decided to bless my home with a beautiful baby girl @ 10.01am yesterday weighing 3.6kg thru elective cs

I just had an annoying experience. I was coming from my mom's place this evening and took a keke. Since it was evening I didn't think it was so necessary to ask the keke driver if he had change (would have done that if it was early morn).

We got to my bus stop and I made to pay him only for him to flare up calling me wicked and evil. Huh What just happened. He sounded angry and insultive and me too lost it. I told him not to insult me as it was evening. We were at a filling station sef and if he hadn't being so insultive I would have come down to look for change.

Next thing this guy turned around and ordered me to come down from his keke and said that for my wickedness I would die with the pregnancy I was carrying. That was when other guys in the keke flared up and shouted at him. Me I was just speechless but was rejecting it in my mind. I couldn't believe anyone would be so mean as to say such.

Has anyone ever had a mean person place a curse on your pregnancy? It wasn't a good feeling at all! I felt quite bad.

Hansel didnt move all thru yday morning too and i was so scared. But immediately i told dh to take me for a scan, he started shaking his bum bum. Till now he's still active.
But i'll do a scan tmrw just to be sure all is well.

Sometimes it happens, but its good to always monitor your baby's movement pattern and report immediately whenever you notice reduced fetal movement.
Im sure your baby is fine. Stay positive ehn? Nothing dey happen. Every mama here will deliver safely

Gud morning mamas so l called ma doc dis morn nd he said to com to d hospital l wnt he check nd said he culd hear baby's hrtbt buh dat it wasnt strng he said to com bac by 4pm for scan.

Dis talk of still births has really put fear into me oooo noticed since last nite dat my LO's mvmt has drastically reduced was contemplating waiting till wensday which is anc buh as it is first tin 2mao I'm heading to the hospital.
