Thanks for your question. I need help to stand on my feet as regards finance to get whiteboards and markers for my Summer lessons. I have already secured a building for this. Thanks to a good Samaritan that offered me the place. But he said, with time, as I make progress, I will to be making some payments to him for renting out his uncompleted building to me for the lesson

Exactly. And that's what I hate. In fact, she will start telling people how she trained me sch, how she fed and clothed me. Truth is, she never paid my fees once. Never. She never bought me any clothes at any time. I was so meticulous with records at age 10. I had a small pocket diary that I was writing everything transpiring daily at that time

It's really how the people who are supposed to care for us abuse us, you were just a kid, the time you need nurturing and care and all you have is abuse.
I will suggest if you have some money, you can get a therapist to talk to, talking about it and understanding It's not your fault will go a long way.

If you can't afford a therapist, you can talk to your friends, you are a adult now and though you experience such abuse, that shouldn't determine your life, try to build more friendships, forget your Aunty and her children, don't dwell on Karma visiting them because then you won't be able to move on from the hurt.

I am sure your Aunty have her own version of events where she is the hero that took you in after your father death, she will claim she feed and house you even tho you pay back by basically been an houseboy.
She will never admit she did you wrong and her children will always support her.

So just try and heal and move on, once you let go of the hurt, your heart will be filled with love, just know

You see in this life people are bad and terrible and the moment you realize that it will help you, i have been through many shitts in my life and i tell you the best thing to do is to be as emotionally detached as possible from people, i don't trust anyone and I'm grateful to all the people who treated me bad in the past because they have helped to shape a better me.
Some emotions make you weak while some makes you strong.

You can also write your lesson out in advance and give your students handouts which contain the information you want to teach them. You can also ask for payment in advance so you could source your tools and explain this to your students and guardians. There’s a hundred and one ways to bypass this problem. You shouldn’t go to begging first unless this is your job! Create different monikers and different problems as a means to make an income which is the current situation on nairaland atm!

I don't know how some of you think honestly. How do u tell students to pay in advance for what they haven't started yet? Can you do that if u were in my position? If you continue to give me fish without teaching me how to catch fish, I will continue to beg for fish. I have vowed to be self-dependent and create wealth for myself. People often say that teacher in private schools are not sufficiently renumerated and as such, poor. Well, this is Truth to a large extent, but to a larger extent, anyone can decide not to follow such widespread narrative. A few teachers are making fortunes from what they earn and are living well with their families. Some teachers are even richer than medical doctors and other professionals.
Everyone here knows I am a Teacher and I'm proud to say this wherever I go to. My passion for this job is Undisputed.
This is Long holiday. All I'm asking for is support to enable me purchase two Whiteboards and Markers to start a Summer lesson. Even after the holiday, the lesson can still continue for JAMB, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB etc... If this is done, I will be financially and economically liberated.
Equip me so I don't come here and be seeking for help. I know there are lots of good people on this platform who can help me. If you teach a child, you've invariably taught a Nation. I love to teach.

Sometimes, I feel really discouraged with the happenings in our dear country. I try to understand why some people are so so Rich, while others are poorer than the church rat. I watched the money being splashed and sprayed at some occasions, and I wonder why some people can't even meet their essential needs. The disparity in wealth is just so much and intimidating/tormenting.

Now, here is the matter.
My house was sold in mid-April this year. Before it was sold out, I was paying 80k rent. Now that it has been sold out, the new landlord is asking for 120k. Right from the very first day I was introduced to him, he hasn't stopped pestering me with calls. We are only just three tenants in the entire building.
Nobody knew the house was going to be sold and there was never a prior notification of rent increment by the old landlord. Of the three tenants, I've been the only one showing concern and willingness to pay. There's a tenant who still has four months to the expiration of his rent, but the new landlord is asking him to pay the new rent. The second tenant's rent expired in February and mine expired just last month. But in all these, the new landlord isn't concerned about whether or not our rents have expired, all he wants is his New Rent. Personally, I have offered him half(60k) of the rent, but he refused and said he wants his money in full. All my pleas have fallen on deaf ears. He's threatening to throw me in two days time alongside other co-tenants.
I've become worried and depressed as a result of this. I don't know anybody in this new town, I don't have parents. No relatives who can help. I'm just alone in this world after managing to train myself in sch. I can't even face the embarrassment of been thrown out of a house with my belongings. If God can help nip this issue in the bud, I will forever be grateful and faithful to God and it would be the greatest miracle that has ever happened in my life.
I don't have a girlfriend, I don't drink, smoke, club or gamble. I'm just a private sch teacher. I couldn't save ahead due to the payment of my kid sister's tuition fees two months ago.

I wish we could do this in Nigeria
