Hello fam
I just got some worth of funding from an award I applied for at my intended college. Is there anyways this can be used as a portion of proof of financial support to aid my study permit application. Ps: I already applied for my TRV sometimes in April. I'm only curious
Thanks!

Nothing's wrong with your application. It's totally normal, mine took 2 months to change to "Completed". No fear
KweenCee:
Good day,

It's been over a month i did biometrics and till now,my status still reads "your action is required". Please does it mean that the status doesn't change after biometrics or is something wrong with my application.

Please my people don't ignore. I really need to know what's happening.

Thanks.

Hi
Sorry it doesn't work like that. I'm sure this amount of money will be stated on your conditional acceptance letter from your school, it is used to hold your seat. it also usually has a dead line. If you dont meet this requirement, you loose your admission. Also if your school issues you a Conditional admission letter, the embassy expects you to satisfy this condition(s). Like in your case you may want to attach a receipt issued to you from the school showing you have paid your acceptance fee. Dont be scared to commit. Even your TRV app is a commitment as we are never sure of the outcome. Stay positive. Wish you the best!
Sarang:

I don't want to commit this money since it is non-refundable. Can I still go ahead and use the acceptance letter for my visa?

And if I get visa, can I then commit?

Okay, try and check the first page of this thread for a procedure on how to shrink file sizes. That should help.
Sugaro:

I tried using 100dpi but the quality wasn't so good dats why I used 300dpi.chai I have to a fresh?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Ope100(m): 4:49pm On May 13, 2017
Hi
Try and reduce the resolution(dpi) to say 100, while you're scanning each page of your documents on your printer. it'll help greatly reduce the file sizes while still retaining quality. I hope this helps.
Sugaro:
Pls house, I have tried to reduce my file from 38MB to 4.8mb further attempt brought it to 2.8mB which is not now clear, pls how do I bring it down to 4MB which is d required size from what I saw on their site?
Thank you

Good morning.
1. ) No you cannot merge your family details with the family information form. It is expected that you scan it together with your SOP and upload it in the Letter of Explanation section.
2.) Yes you can. That's what that section is for.
Sugaro:
Pls can I merge the family information form imm 5645E with my family details? Like marriage cert, birth certificate etc
2. Can I also upload the SOP in place of the LOE?

From my little knowing sir, it is almost impossible to satisfy any of the three options CIC asked you to. However in the content of someone with a similar message on this; his stated that "If you are unable to satisfy any of the options above write in a letter why and how you choose to go about it" something of that tone. This makes me wonder if Opening a domiciliary dollar card acoount will suffice, you will include a statement of the dom account showing at least the 10K CDN, a letter from the bank showing you maintain a Domiciliary card account with them, and a letter explaining to CIC that with the dom account you are able to make translations abroad. You may also include that you will be allowed up to 4K USD for PTA which will be in cash before you travel to Canada. This is what has been on my mind concerning this issue. I may be very wrong.
CanadianNurse:
Good morning house, ON THE ISSUE OF WRITTEN ASSURANCE FROM BANK THAT CIC REQUESTED FOR

Please who has gotten the written assurance? And what are the possible steps to get the written assurance

From my own interpretation CIC is asking for assurance that the money will be "ALLOWED" out of the country, they have no doubt that the money is available but the possibility of exporting the cash is what they want to confirm!

I once heard someone talk about bankers assurance on this forum! What's that? Will it fly in this case and how can one get it!

Please gurus we should deliberate on this an have a formula for tackling this on this forum for the sake of future applicants because this is reality! It is now a requirement!

Hi
The letter of explanation section will suffice. All you need to do is scan your birth certificate and that of your sibling's, degrees and transcripts together with your SOP if you have one and upload in that section as a single document. Your order of arrangement should be at your discretion. I used the content of my SOP to arrange mine. Regards
einsteino:
Please I am a little confused in packaging of documents to submit. for example, there is no where on CIC's website were it was requested I upload my birth certificate or that of my siblings, my degree certs and transcripts.. but I see post of other people who did, under what category of documents did you append this documents to and in what order would you advise I arrange it? Thanks

Hi
1. As for tuition, fill in your tuition for one year as it shows on your acceptance letter/school invoice.
2 & 3. What I know is Room and board + others should sum up to at least $10,000 CDN. That's how I filled mine, i may be wrong. I have seen a few people on this thread say they left it blank. So I guess you shouldn't worry much about that aspect except it is stated in your Acceptance letter/school invoice.
As for Funds available, from what I know this is the amount your sponsor is willing to give you which I guess should be slightly higher than your tution + 10K cdn. You also need to put into consideration the closing balance of the bank statement you want to submit before filling that aspect. I hope this helps, regards.

What a development. Did you or someone you know experience this? It is well oh!
ugolinze123:
MY DEAR NAIRALANDERS THE FACT IS NOT JUST MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS ON THOSE CONDITIONS I WROTE EARLIER ABOUT THE TUITION, EVEN IF YOU CAN GET AN AUTHORIZED LETTER FROM YOUR BANK AND FROM CBN YOU STILL MUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CASH WITH YOU BEFORE EMBARKING ON THAT JOURNEY.

1.ON ARRIVAL YOU WILL BE ASKED AT TORONTO BY CANADA BORDER POLICE ABOUT YOUR TUITION, IF YOU HAVE PAID OR NOT
2. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PRESENT MONEY FOR YOUR ACCOMMODATION AND FEEDING YES IT HAS GOTTEN THIS BAD
3.IF YOU CANT PROVIDE THIS YOU WILL BE HANDCUFFED AND TRANSFERED TO A FACILITY WHERE OTHER PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE DONT WORRY YOU WILL BE FED WELL.
4. YOU WILL BE ADVISED OR THREATENED TO NOT SEEK THE SERVICE OF A JUDGE CUZ IF YOU DO AND YOU LATER FOUND GUILTY YOUR VISA WILL BE REVOKED AND YOU WILL NEVER ENTER CANADA AGAIN GUESS YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS
5. A PAPER WILL BE BROUGHT TO YOU TO SIGN AND MY BROTHER YOU WILL BE ON THE NEXT FLIGHT COMING BACK TO NIGERIA
6. BUT NOT TO WORRY YOUR VISA WILL STILL BE INTACT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FIND YOUR TUITION AND GO BACK

SO BEFORE YOU EMBARK ON THAT TRIP MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR TUITION WITH YOU CUZ IT DOESN'T JUST STOP AT GETTING A TRV THE QUESTION IS: DO YOU HAVE YOUR TUITION? CANADA DON CHANGE

Try GT BANK master card, it seems theres a limit of $100 USD for online payments. If it doesn't work you might need to open a domiciliary card account with any bank, or if you have someone that has such an account, give the person cash while you use his/her card. Regards
michaelbelgium:
pls those that applied for trv online...which bank can i use to make the application fee of $232 via mastercard
