Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What Do You Think About Jobberman ? by opeawo(m): 6:32am On Jun 05, 2013
blackky187: Guys, for me jobberman is not a scam. If you have not recieved any invitation for interview, please take some time and re-evaluate your cv. Many job seekers just see an advert and apply for a placement without properly matching their skills with the company's requirements. I got introduced to jobberman by a friend,I registered as a basic user( still a basic user) and within few weeks I got a call for an interview with a very good E & P company. I went for the interview and was re-imbursed my to and fro flight tickets. I'm waiting for call-up. Do not give up if you have not been called, dust that your cv and try to improve your skills set. Fellow Nlanders, without appropriate sklls, even if you pay 10 million naira to jobberman for premium membership there's no way you can get invitation.Develop your cv and make yourself employable. This is my humble submission.

He has spoken well and that's the real truth.

mko abiola: How many ppu av gotten a job thru jobberman?with or without premium.
At least 1000 people every month since January 2012. That number comes from the number of roles/slots based on the companies we directly assist in shortlisting. That does not include the many hundreds of companies who recruit and don't give any feedback.

The business Jobberman is doing is unfortunately a thankless job. That's fine inasmuch as a few people come back to say Thank you, Jobberman.

BTW, premium affords you more applications. Being premium or basic had/has nothing to do with getting the job.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What Do You Think About Jobberman ? by opeawo(m): 1:27pm On May 15, 2013
spicy4lyfe: @ opeawo, pls shut ur trap. Jobberman is a scammer. Ur testimonials are fake stories mostly written by those in jobberman. I subscribed for ur premium package, applied for more than 20 jobs, yet i didnt receive any invite. Bloody scammer

I reckon your CV is a real mess. If you will be a little bit respectful on a public forum, I can do a review of it for you and then we will see what comes out of that. Public challenge? Email me opeawo[at]gmail[dot]com

Obinoscopy: Hi jobberman, click on this link https://www.nairaland.com/1099660/pls-help.jobberman-created-access-link
This is not true. And it has been responded to on that thread. Its a simple affiliate link that you can use to invite other people to Jobberman. Same as you will find on Twitter and Facebook That's all. There is no direct link to your email anywhere. And take it back, Jobberman has not scammed you nor anyone and will never do. Jobberman is one of few companies that have added value to jobseekers and its got thousands of testimonials to show for it.

dreamybubu: My point exactly d site is supposed to be a serious one nt a joke factory. For that to have passed as a listing, do u know how many other job placement or rather joke placements I av applied for and in my mind I have applied for job. cry
But I believe you knew it was a joke. Same as everyone out there.

Frankly, loosen up. It was posted internally, and the intention was to lighten your day.

I am afraid you are the only person who thinks job placements might be joke placements. If Google does fake product launches on April 1 (even White House plays a prank), Why can't Jobberman.

PS: my opinions on Nairaland are mine and 100% unofficial.

tolsmile: i neva like dat site 4 any reason
Why?

Stop spreading false stories. Jobberman did not ask people to pay to view Job adverts. It asked users to pay only after applying for 5 jobs.

And at the moment, it is even giving 60 days full access with no caps and ability for free users to apply for up to 20 jobs monthly.

Pls stop rumours and let Nigerians who need jobs take advantage of these opportunities.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Manchester United Football Manager Job Ad (Jobberman) by opeawo(m): 7:10am On May 10, 2013
I am dissappointed at those who cannot take a joke designed to lighten up their day.

Did you read the ad at all?
I guess you carry a frowning face throughout every work day.

Good luck with your job search.

BTW, if you need a job, signup on , the jobs are obviously real. Doubters can stay off, when you need a job, the site will be there waiting for you.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Jobberman Application Credits............ What Is That All About? by opeawo(m): 9:31am On Jan 21, 2013
Queendo: Dont mind them, the expect unemployed ppl to be paying monthly for what? notification? rubbish

Note, not everyone looking for a job is unemployed. There are 30m currently employed Nigerians out there looking for better jobs. Employed people seeking for better opportunities form the majority of the people on Jobberman.

This is what the payment is for.
- Unlimited applications (there is a free plan that gives you 5 applications, note you can also invite friends and get more application credits free if you are adamant on not upgrading)
- See the identities of the companies advertising jobs (free can search for jobs but can't see company names)
- See when a company hired last on Jobberman and how many times they have hired (this is to let you know indepth about the comapny and weigh your chances of getting a job at the company).

Why charge? This is to attach a clear value to the service you're getting (all the jobs in one place, jobs you cant find elsewhere). This is to also make sure Jobberman can get all companies out there to post jobs - FREE.

Jobberman is listening all the same and would love to reach a compromise where everyone (employed and unemployed) can all be happy.

Disclosure: I co-founded Jobberman

mj: For me it is an error from Jobberman, that's why I will always respect Mark Zuckerberg, it free and always free. What jobberman could have done is meet with the experts to see how to turn the traffic into cash. If Seun starts asking Nairaland visitors to pay before viewing post, what do u think will happen to Nairaland traffic? Look into what Facebook are doing, apply it. The best things in life are free.

smiley Just like Facebook, there will always be the free part on Jobberman. You can apply for 5 jobs and even invite friends to get more free application credits. Note that Facebook is already trying out paying to message those that are not your friends. This is jobs we're talking about here, its about increasing your chances of getting a job. Let's not miss the big picture here.

chiboy11: wat ure just sayin make no sence man,its only in nigeria I se a job site dat request mone 4rm jobles pple to search jobs, ure just takin advantage of d weak govt to run ur crime cuse I kno dose jobs re nt real, its only a fool dat wil pay 4dat ur servise wen he or she s nt even sure of getin d job,Nairaland n hotnigerian jobs beat u pple hands down,if u guys ve brain u wud ve learn ow 2use ur trafic to raize moni tru adverts,I tink u ve to go back n learn
heed101: gbam certified

Do you value having access to more jobs so as to increase your chances of getting a job? If you do, then you need to think about your opinion again. I will state it again, let's stop saying jobseekers are jobless, there are 30m employed Nigerians out there looking for a better job and they clearly understand the rationale for the premium package.

Nonetheless, Jobberman is listening and something will be done soon so that everyone (employed and never-employed) will be happy.

DWJOBS.com:
Keep up the good work. You have made it easier for most of us to get good jobs and enjoy great career opportunity but the new premium service isn't quite clear and should(plea) be reviewed

We're open to suggestions on how much we should charge for this premium service. Everyone, suggestions please on price. FREE is also a suggestion, but we have that already. There will always be a free package but with limited features, I must say.
