These are people who own their own houses, drive two or more cars, private university for their kids-we have an average of two private universities per states now and there are thousands of student with most courses going as high as one million a session..they are everywhere, on every street. The kind of money people make in Nigeria can't be made in Europe or America. I visited Delta state for holiday and I am amazed at the investment made by individuals. Even some petty stores are doing great and people are smiling and enjoying life. 1.What's the number of blocks for substructure (foundation I mean)
2.Tell us about the strength,
3.The size of the hollow block with the price of each
4.The mix ratio for blinding and choice if foundation type
5.quantity of iron used,name of the iron if imported or local and the name, then price of the irons with transport tag
6. The depth of your substructure that a trip of filling could filled it up
7. The thickness of your DPC damp proof course and tell us the number of cement used with accurate trip of sand used,cost of labour, carpentry, iron works etc
8. Number of blocks for the superstructure from plinth to the window height, cost of the iron for lintel,mix ratio for both block work and the casting.
9. Lastly the sqm of the building area.

Pls clarify this and we will all bliv as one

Got free sharp sand from site....3 loads of stone for foundation(10k each)....3 loads of gravel(12k each)...40k for labour on foundation....130k for building labour...60k for iron rods....10k for lintel and pillar woods( got some free woods on site)...12k for sand filling...15k for iron work by welder....got a further 10 bags of cement for later works....cost of land is 200k(half plot) plus 20k for commission....5k given to lawyer who prepared papers(he's a father figure to me, a church member)....already done with soakaway(15k)

Pls kindly clarify. You used 20 bags for both moulding of blocks and setting out of the foundation? You also used 65 bags for moulding of blocks and setting out to roofing stage? You said you also spent 12k for sand filling? How many trips of red sand did you buy to fill the foundation and how much per trip? You said you got sharp sand free? So you expect everyone to get free sharp sand that cost 16k per trip free? Just sharp sand needed to get to that level should be around 12 trips for both moulding and setting out, thats 192k you got free? Then you said you did your soakaway for 10k. Are you just talking about just digging or the total cost to complete a soakaway?

Plastering inside

Septic tank and soak away.
and others except wiring, fencing borehole and outside plastering.

I do not pay for any professional charges other than the usual artisans work. After all, it's a small boy project

The problem we have in Nigeria is people planning to do what they can't afford, a simple five-bedroom bungalow with moderate finish can even be done with 18m, but extending that to a duplex may be problematic.
