Well, I don’t think it’s in any queue because nothing is processed , we should be seeing progress from folks here if it is, at least I do see updates on sowp forums on canadavisa.

If no one is reporting any update I will conclude they’re not working on them for now, maybe they’ll in the future.

I also understand review required means a case analyst is not satisfied and need a senior visa officer to look into it but it usually doesn’t take this long especially when visa process began more than three months ago

Some of us are still unclear about how to go about it. Like what kind of email are we supposed to send? And are they supposed to respond to the email in a way? And when they do, are we expected to attach their response and forward to IRCC using a CSE form?

Anyone with an update? They’re processing Indians application even though their visa office is still closed, some of them that applied for gcms saw that their application was approved but couldn’t get ppr because visa office is still closed.

I have requested for my gcms notes twice and nothing changes even though they have my application updated to reviewing eligibility , I have sent the email for exemption and even reached out to my MP but nothing is happening on my app. It’s just not fair

Its interesting, we werent asked to submit medicals. Last webform we raised just said the delay is due to COVID.
We requested GCMS notes recently as well.

Might look into your point re: 'email for COVID exemption'.

No, the email is to inform them that your application is essential and should be attended to. The email can also be used to get a letter that you can use to travel to Canada if your family member is on temporary resident permit. The email address is IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca

Congratulations..am happy for your SOWP and praying . I sent in my passport for visa after it was approved in March 12th up until now I have not heard from the embassy, I sent a mail and they said it was still under processing....just wondering when they will pass my passport back

Same with mine, just wondering why medical isn’t updated for the past four weeks they’ve been reviewing my file because I had an upfront medical.

I got a response from cic that my spouse application will be put on hold due to measures put in place to stop the spread of Covid 19.

I guess my application is not considered for processing because It’s really not long enough that I submitted my application

I sent an email to that mailbox yesterday and it’s actually what we should have done far before now but it’s unclear on their website that we needed to do that but the auto response after the mail was sent explains who should which we clearly fall into.

Hopefully I should see something changing maybe this week or next, I’ll update you guys if anything changes

Thanks for your feedback, I submitted my application in April but I wouldn’t mind sending them an email as well.

But to be clear you are the one with the job and not your spouse that applied, correct? If yes then I’ll do the same because my job is also categorized as essential
