By ABUBAKAR Marian An increasing number of conversations on and offline have claimed to find insidious links between the roll out of 5G networks and Coronavirus. In the UK, the situation further intensified after reports that at least one phone mast was suspected to have been deliberately set on fire. One theory suggests that the novel Coronavirus originated in Wuhan because the Chinese city had recently been rolling out 5G. It’s now supposedly spread to other cities that are also using 5G. These false conspiracy theories neglect to mention that a highly contagious virus would naturally spread more in densely populated cities with access to 5G, and that the Coronavirus pandemic has hit counties like Iran and Japan where 5G isn’t in use yet.....READ MORE https://www.campusconnect.com.ng/2020/04/is-5g-network-major-cause-of-covid-19.html? |
[Alma not arms.quote author=UdyOgwoUde post=87814068]Chaii.... In the midst of the tribulations and pandemic ravaging the world, church that's suppose to give arms is the one extorting people instead. No wonder Jesus says His judgement will start from the Church. .[/quote] |

CHINA’s CONVID 19 BATTLE;A STRATEGY WORTHY OF EMULATION BY: ROTIMI SAMUEL Recently, the world health organization’s head Tedros Adhanom issued a statement that China’s battle with coronavirus offers a beacon of hope Coronavirus is family of viruses, but the 2019-2020 Coronavirus pandemic as labeled by the world health organization[ WHO ] is an ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019(CONVID-19), Caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 ( SARS-CoV-2). The outbreak was first identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. However the real cause of this pandemic has generated a lot of controversies as mystery behind it are yet to be unraveled. But as of March 23, more than 338,000 cases of CONVID-19 have been recorded in over 190 countries of the world, resulting in more than 14,600 deaths and 99,000 recoveries. Although the pandemic began in china but the rate at which people get infected in china has reduced in the past few days compared to other countries of the world. Infact, recent study shows that Italy has recorded more death than China as it regards to CONVID-19. China have recorded only one new local infection over the past four days, a seemingly remarkable turnaround. While some experts have warned against taking China’s figures at face value. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom insisted China’s success “provides hope for the rest of the world’’. Without much Ado it will be pertinent took briefly into the policies embarked upon by china. SHUTDOWN In January, China effectively shut down Wuhan and placed its 11 million residents in effective quarantine — a move it then replicated in the rest of Hubei province, putting 50 million people in mass isolation. Across the rest of the country, residents were strongly encouraged to stay at home.Hundreds of millions of Chinese live in closed residential complexes where neighbourhood committees can police movement in and out — meaning compliance could be closely monitored.“Containment works,” Sharon Lewin, professor of medicine at the University of Melbourne, told AFP. “Two weeks after the closure of Wuhan, which is exactly the incubation period, the number (of infections) started to drop.”Extreme social distancing and home quarantines have been used to differing degrees by a rising number of European countries, with some US states following suit. But an Imperial College London study warned that while that strategy appeared to have succeeded to date in China, it carried “enormous social and economic costs” in the short and long term.“The major challenge of suppression is that this type of intensive intervention package …. will need to be maintained until a vaccine becomes available (potentially 18 months or more),” it said.If the intervention is relaxed, transmission rates “will quickly rebound”, it added. Mass mobilisation – At least 42,000 doctors and medical personnel were sent to Hubei province to shore up the province’s health services which had, according to public health professor Zheng Zijie from Peking University, essentially “collapsed” under the strain of the fast-spreading epidemic.Health experts from China’s Red Cross are currently helping overwhelmed hospitals in Italy, which has fast overtaken China as the worst hit country in terms of coronavirus deaths.China’s ability toM, mobilise small armies of medical workers did not come with protection from contagion. More than 3,300 medical staff were infected across the country and 13 have died from COVID-19, according to health ministry figures published early March.Government efforts in China were backed by an arsenal of propaganda, with messages repeated incessantly in the media and large street banners calling on citizens to be hygienic and stay home.In an extraordinary effort — trumpeted by state media — two new hospitals with a total capacity of 2,300 beds were built in Wuhan within 10 days. Masks and checks – In cities, it quickly became necessary to wear a mask as apartment blocks, businesses and even parks barred entry without one.Widespread mask use may have helped slow the spread of the disease, “particularly when there are so many asymptomatic virus carriers”, Zheng said.During the crisis China produced up to 1.6 million N95 respirator masks per day, according to the official Xinhua news agency. These are considered the most effective protection, but need to fit correctly and be changed often. To boost detection rates, temperature checkpoints were installed outside buildings and shops, or in public places.“If it’s higher than 37.3 degrees Celsius (99.1 Fahrenheit), you are put in isolation,” one guard at the entrance to a park in Beijing told AFP.And in the high-tech country where privacy is limited, many localities require citizens to show a QR code on their phone that rates them as “green”, “yellow” or “red”.This assessment — based on tracking of whether they visited a high-risk zone — is now an entrance requirement for many businesses.Government announcements have made clear that the coding system will remain in use in some form even after the pandemic subsides. The above are strategies adopted by china to curb the menace that have ravage their society and the world at large. I think if the world adopt this strategy together we can fight this pandemic that has pose a threat to human existence. |
Nigerians have suffered enough under this kleptocratic govts...we refuse to be deceived for the second time |

After may,2015 that president mohammadu buhari was sworn in as the president of the federal republic of Nigeria.expectations were on the high side as most innocent Nigerian citizens expect the coming of the government to do the magic thing and solve Nigeria's problems within the twinkle of an eye It was such a big pity that those promise made by president Mohammadu buhari turned out to be a big fallacy, buhari during his campaign promised Nigerians change but his change only brought untold hardship to Nigeria(its like adding salt to injury)... Below is a little glance on the change buhari promised 1.to build a viable economy for nigeria and cure Nigeria of all its debt, but today the debt keep rising 2.he promised #5000 stipends to all unemployed youth 3.to equate #1.00 to $1.00 today one dollar is 367 4.promised 24/7 electricity 5.revive and reactivate refineries to the optimum capacity 6.produce a conducive environment for learning in Nigerian schools. Today ASUU is on strike and the president buhari is still not giving them attention.... 7.he promised to ban medical tourism by our politicians..with this proclamation he still went to London for treatment when he was sick.... This is just a tip of all his promise.he has failed Nigeria I don't see a reason why he should be elected when his first attempt was a disaster....you can drop your opinion on why he should be re elected for the second tenure |
