THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS

"AND FOR THIS CAUSE HE IS THE MEDIATOR OF THE NEW TESTAMENT THAT BY MEANS OF DEATH, FOR THE REDEMPTION OF THE TRANSGRESSIONS THAT WERE UNDER THE FIRST TESTAMENT , THEY WHICH ARE CALLED MIGHT RECEIVE THE PROMISE OF ETERNAL LIFE" ( HEBREWS 9 : 15 )


The old testament, commonly referred to as "THE LAW" in scriptures, refers to the period of time or that dispensation under or during the which the children of Israel were ruled by the laws of moses. Unfortunately , a lot of people think these laws are limited to only the ten commandments but it's not. There were about six hundred laws altogether including the ten commandments which God gave them at the time. These laws are contained in the books of exodus, leviticus, Numbers and deutoronomy . so the old testament actually began from the book of exodus because that's when the lawd were given to Moses for Israel and it terminated at the death of Jesus. then as we see in our opening scripture, the new testament was born at the resurrection of Jesus - he's the mediator of the new testament-he brought about the new testament. Under the old testament, man could only be saved by faithfully obeying all those laws God gave them and it was the most difficult thing in the world to do . that's the reason before God will give them any blessings then, he would begin with " if you will obey me. ......" he was referring to obeying the laws . but under the new testament, Jesus has obeyed for us to be saved. you didn't need to obey all those laws, in fact, they have all been abolished under the new testament. All you need to be saved is only believe on jesus and on all he did on your place. Glory to God!

Jesus tells us His bride, “You are all fair, My love, and there is no spot in you.” But our reply to Him tends to be, “Me? All fair and no spot? You don’t know me, Lord!”

Do you really think that God doesn’t know you?

God sees reality like no one else sees it. He sees the perfection of His Son’s finished work in your life. By one offering of Himself at the cross, Jesus has perfected you forever! (Hebrews 10:14) You have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21) And you will never find any spot in this righteousness that Jesus died to give you.

So God wants you to see yourself righteous—all fair and spotless in Christ. Every day, be conscious of your righteousness in Christ. Say, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ. There is no spot in me whom He has perfected with His blood.” When you do that, you are honoring Jesus and His finished work.

If you are conscious of your sins, then you are not honoring the work of Christ. You may think that you are being humble or holy by being sin-conscious. But do you know that the Bible calls sin-consciousness an “evil conscience”?

Hebrews 10:21–22 tells us that since we have Jesus as our High Priest, “let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience”. What does the writer of Hebrews mean by “an evil conscience”? If you read the beginning of the same chapter, you will find that he is talking about a “consciousness of sins”. (Hebrews 10:2) Paul calls it a “conscience seared with a hot iron”. (1 Timothy 4:2) The Greek word for “seared” here is kauteriazo, and it means to carry about with you a perpetual consciousness of sin.

So don’t carry with you an evil or seared conscience. Your lifetime of sins has already been punished fully in the body of Jesus at the cross. Be conscious, instead, of your perfection and righteousness in Christ. Because of what Jesus has done for you, you can boldly declare, “I am all fair. There is no spot in me!”

SINS HAVE BEEN PAID FOR FOR !

" WHO NEEDETH NOT DAILY , AS THOSE HIGH PRIEST ,TO OFFER UP SACRIFICE, FIRST FOR HIS OWN SINS ,AND THEN THE FOR THE PEOPLE"S : FOR THIS HE DID ONCE WHEN HE OFFERED UP HIMSELF"
( HEBREWS 7:27)

Under the old testament, the high priest then would go into the tabernacle with blood of animals to offer his own sins and that of the people of Israel. He had to do this every single day- this was a tough job. But under this new testament which we now live, Jesus has become our high priest to offer sacrifices to God for our sins. But it's different this time.
Our opening scripture above shows us that instead of doing it every day like the high priest under the old testament, Jesus offered the sacrifice for all sins once when he offered up himself on the cross. in other words, all the sacrifices for sins which he would have had to offer for our daily sins, he offered everything ONCE when he died. This is to mean that the sins we committed past ,present and even in the future were all paid for by jesus on the cross of calvary many years ago when he died. This is totally liberating because it shows us a bit of the depth of God's love for us - it shows us our freedom from sin and victory over sin . My bible lets us know that because of this sacrifice jesus made for my sins on the cross , that " .... sin shall not have dominion over you....." ( ROMANS 6:14).I'm so excited about this. Glory to God.

Under the old testament, men served God based on the outward appearance. They danced unto the Lord; they offer sacrifices unto God etc .All of these they did even if their hearts weren't right with God. but under the new testament where we now live, the order has been reversed - we must serve God based on the inward. It must begin with our hearts. If our hearts are not right then we can't truly worship God. Even though we can dance before the Lord; bring our offerings unto him do all sorts of things in service or worship to God, the most important thing that matters to God than all the things we're doing is our heart. The scripture above says, true worshipers will worship God in spirit, that's the heart and truth, that's sincerity. if there are true worshipers, there are also false worshipers- the ones who will be in discord with their spouse and still claim to be before God in worship; those who will rob other people of their goods but come before God to look harmless; those involved in all sorts of immoral perversion yet still stand with hands lifted up in church. You must be a true worshipers because God is concerned much more about the heart than he is about what you do or bring before him outwardly.

Our opening scripture says , God seeks the worship of the true worshipers. Those are the ones whose praise , adoration and offering he looks out for in church. choose today to be a true worshipers and see how things turn around in your favour. God bless you.

WHEN DEALING WITH THE DEVIL SIMPLY USE YOUR AUTHORITY IN THE NAME OF JESUS . a prayerless christian isn't a powerless christian and will never be.

DON'T ALLOW CORRUPT COMMUNICATIONS

"LET NO CORRUPT COMMUNICATION PROCEED OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, BUT THAT WHICH IS GOOD TO THE USE OF EDIFYING, THAT IT MAY MINISTER GRACE UNTO THE HEARERS"(EPHESIANS 4:29)

One of the major places where we must exercise a lot of discipline in our mouth. A lot of people today don't have a problem using negative and vulgar words especially at other people; they don’t need to think to know the exact hurtful words go say to others to spoil their day. Sadly, this people brag about this and really don't know how much harm they do to themselves. you must understand that the way you talk will determine how you'll be perceived and regarded by others.


Learn how to mount guard on your mouth. never allow hurtful words come out of them. Remember you're the light of the world and the salt of the earth. You're supposed to take decadence out of the world instead of adding to it .The scripture above says ,when you speak, your words should minister grace to the hearers. in other words what you say should encourage , strengthen , uplift and inspire people unto greatness. Refuse to use your words to cut people down , rather build them up with your words.

You're the King's kid and you know kings don't talk low and small. Kings talk at a high level. Refuse to conform to the temptation of speaking dirty and vulgar words. Defeat it by disciplining yourself to always say the right words- to your spouse, children, colleagues etc. This way you'll feel more fulfilled because not only will people delight in coming around you. but both you and everyone else around you will be happy. We live in a world where evil prevails and is often celebrated, and it almost becomes increasingly challenging to be good. but you see ,there is no amount of darkness in the world that can extinguish the light that's in the Christian. we can still hold our ground, maintain our stand and be good anyhow. After all, light isn't appreciated amidst light. The beauty and usefulness of light comes into play in darkness only.

It doesn't matter where you find yourself, you can be a burning and a shining light for Jesus! let the good in you overcome the evil that's in the world. Sometimes, it may come through unfavourable circumstances, just pushing you to your limits but you can maintain your composure. it might even come through a close friend; an inconsiderate spouse; a colleague at the office; a classmate at school etc always ensure that their bad behaviour doesn’t stop the expression of good through you. You can choose to walk in love towards them ; it will be a lesson to them ultimately. The bible says, ” HATRED STIRRETH UP STRIFES : BUT LOVE COVERETH ALL SINS "( PROVERBS 10:12).The word " cover" here means to “ overwhelm or hide ".No amount of hatred in the world is potent enough to surmount the love in you; instead the love in you has the capacity to overwhelm their hatred . it might even come from an in -law ; you can choose to love in return while of course you refuse to be trampled on . There's so much good in you, and that is the light that God wants you to radiate to the world. shalom!

God sees you with no flaw, spot or imperfection, so honor His Word and the finished work of His Son by saying, “Amen!” Don’t doubt your perfection in Christ.

To see yourself as being far from perfect is not modesty, but a failure to understand the perfect sacrifice that Jesus has made for you.

The Bible tells us, “For by one offering He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified”. Did you get that? You have not only been sanctified, that is, made holy, but by the same offering of His body, you have been perfected. You are both holy and perfect in God’s eyes!

Your sins have been purged perfectly. Today, Jesus is seated at His Father’s right hand not because He is the Son of God (although that is true), but because His work of purging your sins is completely finished and perfect!

So instead of being conscious of your sins, which is to have an evil conscience (Hebrews 10:22), you can have a perfect conscience, a conscience that is free from the guilt and condemnation of sins.

When you find yourself conscious of your sins, just say, “Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your wonderful work at the cross. It is a perfect work that has removed all my sins completely.

“Holy Spirit, thank You for convicting me of righteousness, not my own, but God’s righteousness given to me as a gift. Keep on convicting me in the days to come, reminding me especially when I fail that I am still the righteousness of God in Christ.”

My friend, God sees you perfect without any spot of sin. He sees you covered in the beautiful white robes of His own righteousness. He treats you as a righteous man because that is what He has made you. So expect good things to happen to you because blessings are on the head of the righteous! (Proverbs 10:6)

Some of your stats is flawed. If you look are Neymar and Hazard closely you will realize their roles in respective teams is different. Chelsea is built around Hazard while Barca is built around Messi so some arguments are subjective.

The best way to compare them imho is Brazil's Neymar and Chelsea's Hazard.

Going by that, you will know who truly is better.

statistics is statistics. which of the stats is flawed or they add stats to people which they don't have? if you like choose the stats that you think is flawed lets compare it here? you didn't mention the free food that messi gives neymar. Haven't you see teams that buit their team around a player and he flopped? the team built around hazard puts pressure on him while neymar has no pressure him that's why he can joke on the pitch like trying to go and fight but you can't see messi doing that because the pressure is on him to deliver.
What does neymar for Brazil and hazard for Chelsea comparison?
comparison is done with both clubs and countries. its in clubs that you see the real player because you are playing week in week out.
Don't bring the excuse of team being built around Messi. That should make him better because he is playing without pressure . if Barcelona loses the blame will be on messi . there are stats that constant any where. a good dribbler is a good dribbler any where and time. a good passer is a good passer. neymar wouldn't dribble more than hazard if he where playing in premier league.

CHRIST IS OUR WISDOM

" BUT OF HIM ARE YE IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO OF GOD IS MADE UNTO US WISDOM AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, SANCTIFICATION AND REDEMPTION" (1 CORINTHIANS 1: 30)

This scripture lets us know that God made jesus christ wisdom unto us. In other words, Christ Jesus is our wisdom. This goes to mean that there's no one person in christ that lacks wisdom. Look at the whole world- the beauty of the sea , the vegetations ,the birds, the land animals etc . The wisdom that established all of them is in you! so you do not lack wisdom at all. Maybe you were given a certain task to accomplish at the office with a certain deadline, don't be afraid, you can do it because the wisdom of God is at work in you. You have wisdom to deal with that difficult business situation; there's wisdom to handle your relationship . You can go ahead and say to yourself even right now. When ever you're faced with a difficult situation or challenging situation , don't run around , look inwards, there's wisdom in you to take on any task. God bless you.

CHRIST IS OUR WISDOM

" BUT OF HIM ARE YE IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO OF GOD IS MADE UNTO US WISDOM AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, SANCTIFICATION AND REDEMPTION" (1 CORINTHIANS 1: 30)

This scripture lets us know that God made jesus christ wisdom unto us. In other words, Christ Jesus is our wisdom. This goes to mean that there's no one person in christ that lacks wisdom.
