Some persons were actually called on the phone. The person I know that was called applied for facility engineer. We both did our medicals last year together. Nobody called me. We didn’t apply for the same role. There was really no update about resumption from the call though, just a confirmation that the recruitment is still ongoing,

It's really as have been said. Nobody knows anything here in CNL. I did medicals a year ago last week. The way we were been hurried then to fly to Lagos for medicals, I thought we would resume immediately. I contacted the person that was liaising with us during medicals but he is also unaware. He says what I know, is what he knows. The slight assurance he gave me was that they would get back to us, whether or not the recruitment is concluded or cancelled. I don't know what's happening at HQ, my only hope right now is God.

I don't think stir implies start over. He probably means they want to stir, as in move, since the recruitment has been on hold for some time now. I don't know how true this is, but coming from him (who has not always been the bearer of good news, sorry) one should take it with a pinch of salt and hope for the best. One thing I am certain of is that the recruitment will be concluded, we will all hear back from them. As for when, this I do not know. Cheers!

Why are you so negative? If you go back and check all your posts on this thread, it's full of negativity. I do understand that you want the recruitment to be concluded, and so does everyone else. But keep in mind that being negative and talking in this manner for a company you hope to be part of very soon, is not helping you at all. Make yourself busy and pray. If people have been invited for interviews for the role you applied for and you're yet to hear anything, please move on. As it stands, the first set of candidates invited for interview have done the first round. For some roles, like geologist, they have moved on to the second round of interviews and the more people have been sieved out.

Offer like they have been given offer letter and told when to resume? Last I heard, they were on background checks. Kindly confirm if they have been given a date of resumption please. Thanks

For those asking about petroleum engineer, yes offer has been sent to them. Extremely few numbers were selected.

Won't really call it escape coz it took a while before I finally made up my mind. It really was a mess. But thank God its over now.

He would have gotten you emotional, kept you for sex, then you will be hanging around full of jealousy and pain while he brings his new girlfriend around. You understand? You are not in, and not out. You guys would be entwined, but you can't claim him. Last last he would hang back and enjoy the show while you compete or fight with his new girlfriend.

Really crazy. In this situation, my ex actually said he could not move ahead with the relationship but still wanted to remain friends. I didn't want that coz it was going to be difficult to move on that way. Nevertheless, I tried to be "matured" and went with it. But along the line, I just figured that he wanted me in his life without any commitment. Coz he'd call when it suited him, he'd even say he misses me and all, still acted like I was his. He really was not respecting any boundaries. So I just had to block him.

That's crazy. One big problem is when no one wants to be the bad guy and state the obvious. That they don't want the relationship anymore. Hiding resentment inside but they find it hard to say their thoughts. That kind of thing is what will make one person suddenly attack the other.

I'd only block an ex if they don't understand boundaries. Trying to talk and act like you're still dating, leading you on but in their minds, the relationship is over. Otherwise, life no too hard.

I know what will be said here might not really cheer you up, but this is just a phase. Sincerely speaking from my heart, it’s just a phase. You will get what you have been waiting on God for. It will even supersede your wildest dreams. At that point, you might even wish you had many rejection stories to tell just so the success story is sweeter and more rewarding. Don’t lose hope. God is alive and aware. Just put in the effort and trust in him.

What about me? Please I was matched since last year but yet to be contacted by my company. The last email I got for NJFP was last year saying I shouldn’t go and start reporting to my company until I hear from them. But up till now, nothing from them.

Two months is a short time to grieve over the loss of a two year relationship. IT probably will take you about 4-6 months to get over it. You will have to do your best to avoid being alone, go to the park, go and meet friends. Watch funny skits and videos online. It will pass
