Well my journey so far goes like this. I started the process of application in feb 2017 after my wife introduced my to this thread.

I read through all 36 pages at the time and with the info i went online downloaded the required tutorial videos and forms on cic.ca ( the videos are very helpful) .

I applied for a visitor visa as a family ( wife n kid) and i didnt mention the fact that we were considering child birth. I submitted very credible supporting docs ( statements of accts, salary slips, introduction latter from my company stating my net worth, fix deposit certificates, passed traveling history and letter of invitation from my brother who is a PR)

The whole visa process took exactly a month and i intially thought they just kept it aside n waited for exactly 30days to send it bck to me with out processing it ( cos a colleague had a similar experience). We were given 5years visa each and the planing for the trip started immediately cos my wife was already 20weeks gone n the baby bump is already showing(2nd baby).
I have gone to drop them over there in canada and am back to work to cont the hustle while they flex and prepare for the baby.
At the point of entry ( toronto), the POE didnt even know my wife was pregnant since all attention was drawn towards me and she too was wearing a winter jacket. The only major question asked was why was i stating a 30days visit and my wife and kid was stating 6 months. I simply told him i had to go back to resume work while my family stay back to spend time with my brother and his family.

For now she is seeing the doc my brother introduced her to and will book an appointment close to her due date to see the gyno to save cost. For those seeking for cheap delivery , you can try canada birthing centers. My wife heard about it but she couldnt secure an appointment cos they were fully booked in the edmonton area. The cost is as low as $500 cad. And only for low risk pregnancies.

Except you want to use the passport for another trip (or option) now, if u have decided to have ur babe in nija why don't u just allow the process go on, and instead write them and find out the status of ur application.

sorry to divert but I need urgent help. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and submitted my paper application since April 25th. I've not been able to make any arrangements here cos what if I was eventually granted visa. Now my question is "Can I write d embassy to return my document ,so my mind can be settled in Nigeria to have my baby at least. *Note, I was denied just based on travel history in April * when I have been to US 3 times and South Africa* I also had a child in d US.

I only have my Surname and First name on my appointment confirmation sheet - is that a problem?? I didn't put my middle name....However, I think the section only state first name (not "given names" and Surname alone when filling it out.

Please do anyone know if that section is first name or given names (which however include middle name?)

Hello house, una weldone for the good job. Pls I need clarification. I had used my visa for birthing but I want to travel with my mum and kids for vacation now. My question now is, since we are staying in a hotel and not using invitation for her visa application, who would we put as 1) contact person name in the USA. 2) Organisation name in the US? Under US point if contact information. And pls at what point will our own info come to play for her ie my information and my kids'. Abeg make una helep me as i wan submit urgently. Thanx all
