Looking at both dogs ,they big names in the dog world but comparing a pitbull to a rott when it comes to guarding your home address is just wrong , You can train your Pitbull to be a guard dog but Rott na follow come . The pitbull may look masculine and has a very high agility but that's not the case now , we're talking about security . Pitbulls are very good fighting dogs that doesn't mean they can guard a place like a Rott . The Rotts Biteforce is stronger than that of the pitbull . If you need an energetic dog that will play with you every time and always run around your compund and may lightly not attack strangers then get a pitbull , but if you want a real Guard dog that will bounce on anything that enters your compund then get a Rott . If someone comes in your house , A pitbull can Bark furiously but won't attack the Person but a Rott won't even bark for more than 3secs before attacking it's target . Honestly I will even pit a well trained working boerbeol over a Pitbull when it comes to guarding my compound ,not those fat boerbeols you see oh , I mean real working boerbeols way don run all the fat comot for him body . Let's face the truth guys , Pitbulls are more human Friendly than Rotts but can't stay together in the same house with another dog because it may end in a fight to the death because that's what a pitbull is Known for , it's more of a fighting dog than Guard

A Rott and a Pitt are two great breeds of dog bred for various reasons and those reason are precise.
The Pitt was bred for fighting that does mean it will win a fully grown Rott, a Pitt aggression against an animal is different from towards a human being....
A Rott aggression to a human being is higher than towards an animal.
Now to prove a point outside their environment a rott with still bite you if you go toward it owner but a Pitt may not... A Pitt will rush to kill a goat but the Rott with just sleep.... And in a fight between them by the types of rotts I have seen whose head is the size of three Pitbull.... One sure bite and you have a dead Pitt talking from experience.
