Strong and rigid,
You want her to be apologetic and unstable in her postulations?

I meant unlearn in a positive way, being taught things such as submissiveness and obeying your husbands rule and all of that, it is good that you unlearned it, or maybe you never learned it at all which is also good. Maybe I should have phrased it better.
Will pigs fly if you lots start telling men to be submissive to their wives?
Only slaves are submissive without a reason,

It is obvious that you have been able to unlearn all of the things that you were taught that you should be because your a woman, or maybe you weren't even taught them at all. But just remember that this is not a clause to disrespect men on the basis that they are men.
Because I am a woman?
The right word to use is because you are a human being,
I am a human being before a woman,

And I don't understand what you mean by "because they are men.
Some of you think that having a penis makes you a superior beings over women because that's what the chauvinistic and misogynistic society taught you all ,

That's why you people see feminists as bitter people because we struck a nerve in you lots.

Feminism is out to free women from the shackles of misogynism.
That's why my thread on that crap called Submission will be hot

Women, specifically in Africa as a whole, are taught to submit from a young age. They must learn to cook, so that their husband can eat, they are taught that their husband is the head of the house and you go with what he says. When times start to change it's difficult to forget what you are taught.
Submission is used by insecured men who are looking for a female slave as wife.
Count me out of that rubbish.
They love to misquote Paul.
Marriage is partnership, mutual respect and love should be there,
Mutual respect entails respecting each others opinions and decisions.
I can't bend down and kiss your azz in the name of submission because you have a dik.
It's impossible.

Women are not afraid of praising men when they do well. Everybody's effort and accomplishment should be applauded irrespective of gender.

But what feminism is against is praise simply because of gender. Statements like:
- being a man is not easy.
- You should be lucky you have a man. And other bs simply because of gender.

I will commend Bill Gates, Graham Bell, Zuckerberg, Larry Paige, Steven Hawkings and a host of other inventors/scientists because of their contributions in making the world a better place. We probably wouldn't have gotten to where we are today without them. I will a always be grateful to them. Not because they are guys, but because they made the world better.

Similarly, I will applaud the contributions of Marie Curie, Ada Lovelace, Tiera Guinn and a host of other female inventors/scientists for their laudable efforts in making the world a better place too. I will not put Lovelace above Gates or Hawkings above Curie. All their contributions are/were equally helpful in making us live our lives as we are today.

What I will remain firmly against is good for nothing lazy touts wanting to order and command respect simply because of the sex organ they were born with.

When a woman deserves respect for her action/actions, give it to her. It doesn't emasculate you in anyway.

When a woman has a reasonable contribution, let her speak. It is possible for her idea to be better than a man's. Vagina doesn't equal stupidity.

Feminism is never ever anti-men. Or female commanders in the battle of male against female. It simply advocates for equal treatment irrespective of gender. So if a woman is going to be applauded for doing something like that, then when a man does it, he should also receive equal decibels and velocity of thunderous applause and vice versae.

Any feminist that doesn't appreciate good effort and contribution to societal building is not a feminist.

So if you want our applause/appreciation/commendation, do something worth applauding because having a dick is not good reason enough for me.
God bless ya

Opinions are different from facts, madam.

And you wonder why some of us are usually wary of every female that come shouting the words 'feminism.' I'd rather take intelligence a million times.

You rely on someone's blog on Forbes. A lady who is criticizing Beyonce for singing a line that referenced a movie that was acted in 1993. Now because Beyonce sang the part of where a man was forcing a woman to eat cake, then the blogger now concludes that Beyonce was wrong to have, therefore, she is not a feminist. You rely on that as fact?

I wonder why some guys waste so much time arguing with you. Tbh, your ignorance is something I find funny and nauseating. You claim to be a feminist, yet, you don't see the need to argue with a man? See your ignorance right there?

Is feminism not about creating all forms of equality between males and females?

I knew for a fact nothing resembling 'intelligence' was going to come out of you. Now you have resorted to labelling me as 'Gay' cheesy I would have loved to comment on that, but I will respect your marriage and refrain.

Stick to the issues. I can't be schooling you for free. Usually, I get paid a lot of money to do this.
You know one thing I like about shugavee is that she has a tough skin and will be a good public administrator.

Instead of being emotional.

That is a line from Beyonce's acclaimed album, 'Lemonade'.

You know for someone who is always shouting about 'Feminism', your display of incredible ignorance is sometimes baffling. You think feminism is about always jumping from one thread to another to claim one?

At least use Google. Beyonce does a lot of advocacy work on men and women being treated fair and equal. 'Chime for Change' and 'Global Citizen' are the two most popular ones I'm familiar with.

I know for a fact that several Colleges and Universities around the world now have a course titled 'Beyonce: Race, Culture and Feminism'. I guess they all don't have anything on you about what feminism means. They are all ignorant.

A woman who sampled Chimamanda Adichie in her performance of the song 'Flawless?' Which was specifically meant to re-inforce the message of equality between men and women?

Beyonce's albums mostly make use of black models, do you even know why she does that? In an industry where even our Nigerian artistes would rather make use of white models. Yet, you label her as having 'racial esteem issues'. Is there even a word like that?

Beyonce has always been proud of her identity. No issues with race and whatever it is you would want to label her with.

Stick to arguing whatever it is you have been arguing. But do not make the mistake of typing something resembling what you just did. It removes the veil and exposes a certain ignorance.
It's always so gayish for a man to be so emotional like you.

I will not argue about Beyonce with a man like you,
Stick to your men thing.

I want a fellow woman to quote me so that we will argue about that.

How can you say that even now a girl child training is seen as a waste of resources in some places when I have seen countless times when fathers train their daughters in school and send their sons to learn a trade or craft, even while in school, parents send more money to their female child when compared to the male child.

How is a world without men not violent when we women are our own worst enemy, men can live together in a room without back stabbing, fighting and snatching girlfriends but its opposite for women, lots of gossiping, fighting, quarrelling, etc which is why many girls prefer men as friends.

Did men also invent lesbianism? Also have you not heard of boys being sexually harassed and raped by girls?

Seriously stop being biased.

You feminists really amaze me, I listened to Beyonce flawless song where she was calling her fellow women "bitch", that's degrading, for someone that is fighting for her own gender.

Cc:OriakuAmara
In those days and even now, girl child education is still an agenda embarked upon by many NGOs,
Yes, many see training a girl in university instead of a boy as a waste of resources ,
It do happen in some low income class families,

You can't compare men and women when it comes to corrupting the world, let's not go there.

I don't see Beyonce as a serious feminist,
She has never been, everything is for the camera.

What is her concept? and why is it different from our understanding of feminism? and more importantly, how does it support yours?
Good let me answer you.
If a teacher ask a class to define happiness,
Many students will have a different definitions of it but despite their different understanding, they should arrive at a conclusion that happiness is different from sadness.
So is feminism.

Chimamanda adichie understands feminism as a movement to correct anti women prejudices in the society,
Someone like Nkechi bianze understand feminism as a movement to make women equal to men in all ramification.

Me Oriaku Amara understand feminism as a movement to create a world where gender should never be a barrier for anyone whether man or woman to achieve anything.

Simple.
People must have different views about a concept
