Traditionally, polytechnics focused on practical vocational training and universities focused on theoretical academic qualifications.
It's because of lack of jobs and the nigerian structure that makes us complain,if not if your a technician and you earn accordly(like in us and developed society) then you won't feel any discrimination in degree |

ephi123: I understand where you are coming from but this short term approach never ever pays in the long run. If we continue using the excuse of they employ Nigerians so therefore let them get away with what they like, the nation will NOT progress. Although it is painful, this just has to be done and in the long term is in the best interest of the country. YOUR INTELLIGENT AND I APPRECIATE YOU |

ephi123: Yes. It was ONLY MTN that violated the law. Other telecomms companies had deactivated the sim cards as they should have done. BECAUSE NCC SAID SO? |

ephi123: MTN is not here to help anyone, they are here to make money simple. Other points you made I agree with, particularly the quality of service and rates. YES IT IS A BUSINESS AGREED BUT AT LEAST THEY EMPLOY NIGERIANS AND PUT MEAL ON MANY TABLES IN NIGERIA |
Business › Re: MTN Group CEO Dabengwa Resigns Over N1.04tn Fine by oribi(m): 10:24am On Nov 09, 2015 |
MYMINDER: It was executive recklessness that led to the banks going up in smoke. MTN disobeyed a rule it was aware of and a signatory to. This is not executive recklessness. MTN did not expect what they signed to be applied even if MTN violated. This has bee n the scenario in the past. Leadership changes at the top sometimes makes people sit up and start working. MTN flouted Nigerian rules at the wrong time.
The point I am trying to make to you with my earlier comment is that losing value as a shareholder did not start today. Don't make yours something special.
Change of leadership does a lot. Nigeria has bee not abused by everybody; citizens and foreigners. It has to stop someday and MTN became the first victim.
As South Africa's deputy president said. MTN should obey the rules in countries it operates.
I AGREE WITH YOU ON SOME POINTS SHARED BUT THAT FINE IS CERTAINLY AND HONESTLY OUTRAGEOUS PLUS I DON'T HAVE SHARES WITH MTN ..ONE QUICK QUESTION WHERE HAS ALL THE FINE NCC HAS COLLECTED GONE TO? |

MYMINDER: Shareholders of Bank PHB and Afribank lost their shares for nothing and all unclaimed dividends also vanished. MTN will continue as a going concern which leaves shareholders with some value. The above bank shareholders got zero and unclaimed dividends also went up in smoke. Live and learn. PHB AND AFRIBANK WHAT CAUSED THEIR PROBLEM WAS IT A FINE?LIVE AND LEARN MORE |

I FEEL FOR MTN NOT BECAUSE I HAVE AN AFFILIATION WITH MTN BUT BECAUSE NCC IS BIASED AND THAT FINE IS OUTRAGEOUS.SO ONLY MTN NIGERIA VIOLATED THE LAW?IF MTN HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING FOR NIGERIA AT LEAST NIGERIANS ARE EMPLOYED BY MTN |
Business › Re: MTN Group CEO Dabengwa Resigns Over N1.04tn Fine by oribi(m): 9:45am On Nov 09, 2015 |
MYMINDER: MTN needs Nigeria more than Nigeria needs them. It is simple. Keep your $5.2B and lose your operating licence. I assure you that losing the Nigeria market is worth a lot more and MTN will rather pay than leave. Nigeria is the 7th most populous nation in the world. It's not a market to be overlooked even if you want to. Everything has a beginning and end in life, including impunity. MTN realised too late. FOR A MINUTE ASK YOURSELF IF YOU HAD SHARES WITH MTN OR WAS PART OF IT'S ORGANIZATION OUTFIT,WILL YOU SAY SUCH |

donhils: Since the announcement of this fine on MTN, many Nigerians have rejoiced and danced over it. But set prejudice aside, what wrong has MTN really done to anybody? I'll answer that, None. MTN is and will still remain the all round best network provider here in Nigeria until Glo that is supposed to be the leader (having that indigenous edge) steps up to the responsibility. So why all the hates? Let's talk about NCC for a bit, what exactly were they thinking slamming such huge amounts on a company that's here to help? Has NCC lived up to its responsibilities? All networks being nuisance to the customers thru unsolicited texts and calls, stealing from the unsuspecting public. Have they moved to stop all these nonsense? What is NCC doing to improve the quality of services? Have they looked into the exorbitant rates of data in the industry? What have they done to better the lives of Nigerians? After MTN have paid 1.4trillion, then what next? What is the spirit behind this fine? And Nigeirans are rejoicing. YOUR JUST TOO INTELLIGENT NOT TO BE QUOTED |

Career › Re: Official Car For Assistant Manager, Nothing For The Manager by oribi(m): 9:08am On Sep 13, 2015 |
StealthIdeals: I was recently employed in a farm as an assistant manager. I studied animal production and health. The manager studied political science. Since the resumption at the farm, I direct all activities ranging from feed formulation in the feedmill, animal treatments and handling, biosecurity measure, arable farming etc. The management hold meetings with me alone concerning farm reports, feed managements, sales and anything that concerns the farm's progress. They specifically hired me 'cause animal farming is my field. Note that I'm an expert in animal production and health, agronomy, and agricultural economics. So, I see myself as the manager, cause the only thing the manager does is withdrawing money in the banks to procure farm inputs as a result of decisions reached by me and the management. The manager is using official car, but I'm using nothing. I have no problem with him using the car, but I see it as an insult on my person. Should I protest? u have to be meek in all your endeavors it takes humility for upliftment to come |
