This screen freezing was discussed some time ago, someone posted a solution about checking around the screen edges for a little opening and applying screen glue.... which worked for him and someone else who tried it. Just search back a couple of pages or maybe someone can point u to the post.

I tried the tips then and it works but later resurrect again even the last update didn't fix it... I just dey manage am like that coupled with slow charging.

I think your camera lens have shifted from it's spot... check the lens maybe it's well placed in center or not.

have you checked your update menu? or restart your phone? mine popped up after restarting phone.

the update didn't fix my slow charging, I'm still dealing with it.

My Umidigi A5 Pro is having charging problem. It will be showing charging but will still remain at that percentage and a few other times, it will charge though slowly. I've changed as many charging cables as possible but no difference. My charger is the original charger that came with the phone and it's charging other devices. What could the problem be?

I'm experiencing the same issue. I've already changed the charging port, although it's charging but very slow.

I've been on hunt for another charging board, I think it's about 4k plus shipping with aliexpress.

So Gibson and A9PRO can't be shipped to Nigeria, so I decide to change the shipping address to Niger so that a Brother of mine that is leaving there can collect it for me when it reaches there. This our Postal service's of Nigeria na jagwal, a order can b shipped to Niger but can't be shipped to Nigeria due to bad Postal services, this life no be balanced. your tips works like magic.

at around 2:10pm this afternoon, I applied glue as you've earlier stated on the affected area on my screen. I've been pressing my phone since then and I didn't experience any freezes

I would have dropped feedback before now, but I want to make sure it's perfectly fine before i come back here for the outcome.

NO MORE FREEZING

Im only left with slow charging now... I'm waiting for another miracle to happen or I will get another board from Ali it would cost me #4k including shipping.

What kills charging port mostly is, using your device and charging at the same time.........

All that twisting and bending, cannot do the ports any favours (we are all guilty of this crime).........

6 hrs is a long time. Lol. Custom ROMs do not fix hardware problems.

Just apply it from that pointed mouth, press the screen and clean the excess immediately, your phone will be neat and the screen will stick properly. Apply to both sides. One side at a time.

I dont experience slow charging 1hr 45min, phone is full. Maybe u shouldn't have changed charging port, u shd hv gotten an original 2A rating charging cable. There are so many fakes. Umidigi cables wear out after 5 months.

I've tried different 2A cables but still the same thing, it got to a point where I will need to bend the cable before it will be charing, some cables wouldn't charge at all. So I took it to an engineer, he loose the phone and discovered the charging port is bad, then he put a new one.

The phone now charges with all cable but not fast charging, it takes about 6hours for full charge.


I don't know if a custom rom can fix this.
