Its very easy, there are different ways that u can entertain urself when u are at home.

All you need is Gotv and an LCD with a very low wattage or a PC monitor that has AV input ,a 650va UPS, a 12v 40ah fullriver valve regulated battery and a smart charger.

I bought my 40ah battery brand new at oshodi for 6k its equivalent to deep cycle batteries and I bought my 20amp smart battery charger at idioro mushin for 7k, with this u can stay connected to ur favorite programs on TV or watch movies on ur LCD via external hdd, if u already have an LCD TV, just check the watts ,if its above 100, then u need to get a 15inch monitor that has AV input II bought mine 5k at computer village, the smart charger charges the battery, the ups stands as the power, my 15inch monitor is 34watts while the blu ray player is just 16watts.

So......

When there is no electricity ,my 40ah battery can power my 15inch LCD and Gotv or blu ray player for full 9hrs.

Note: It only powers my Gotv, bluray and 15inch LCD, imagine if I have 2 of that battery nko? That means I will never miss my favorite programs.

Properties / Re: Why Real Estate Developers Must Also Change Their Fraudulent Attitude To Buyers by Osas001: 5:43pm On Dec 07, 2015
@Lawyer.... I appreciate your contribution and work to people in ensuring that they purchase the right property, with proper documentation, but it must be stated that in Real Estate development, documentation processing is time consuming and funds are spent continuously in financing the procurement and perfection of Title document and no investor is ready to invest and wait for the time till documentations are out before they start selling.. most times sales, developments are done simultaneously with procurement of documentss.

So if there are issues with the Real Estate company, they are also burden with the greater pain and stress of ensuring the estate is delivered with proper facilities available to the comfort of the estate resident...

Before I get nailed to the cross for writing or throwing out these concerns, can the Lawyer also throw up a thread or a write that advices and talks about the processing of how estate development should be undertaken, or better if the Lawyer can take up on a project and lets see if it's as easy as being viewing from the subscribers corner...

All.am trying to say is that we as a people should be patient sometimes with real estate developers, yes most times developers get carried away with the emergence of new project, but it's the job of your lawyer to be up tight with the real estate company lawyer.. never buy a property from a réal estate firm that does not have a company lawyer...

Thanks.. hope this note sends and interprets it intended message..

And for the lawyer, I have an offer for you Sir. ?

Another Terrorist Attack in Paris . 26 feared dead....
Career / Re: Feeling Used And Dumped! by Osas001: 3:39pm On Nov 13, 2015
First let me apologize for how your Boss treated you, and I must say it would not be his intention to owe you or not pay salary, one thing I know for sure is that Nigeria as a country is evolving, and we as Nigerians as to envolve with the system or we will be left behind.

But my advice to prospective applicant of labour, Nigeria has gotten to the point that an employee income is supposed to be equivalent to his/her input to the progress of the company...

A billionaire once said at a seminar that if he's to pay an employee 40k per month, that such an employee shld make the company 400k a month..

I hope this sends the right message across..

ujuvals:
I dont know if this is the best platform to express myself but i just want to cry out as there is power in the social media. I am a young girl of 27 years. I live with my dad in lagos, lost my mum 10 years ago and have been sustaining the family for a while now as my dad's business collapsed due to some circumstances. I am a graduate and very hardworking, i have worked in few places in the past but i want to say i haven't been lucky.

I worked with a transport company in ikeja as at feburary and after working for 3months we were asked to stop with no pay on the note that the company was collapsing and they had no money to pay staffers. It was so painful because i live at iyanoba and have to go through a whole lot of stress and pay up to 700 a day for transport to be at work despite we worked weekends. I felt so used but prayed to God to take control and judge them.

I got another job in september at ikeja i didn't want to take it because i had my fears about salary issue after my past experience but looking at the situation at home where they depended on me for survival i had to let go of my instincts and take the job. It was very stressful, the distance, the constant work on the system and sometimes starving just to be able to save up for transport. Despite the distance i always got to the office by 7:30am to resume 8:00am so you can imagine when i leave my house.

When it got to pay time, i was told my boss travelled and there was no talk on salary till after a long while. i also want to add that on one of those occasions i was going to work i was robbed and my phones taken from me, it was so painful but then its part of life. My female boss eventually took pity on me and paid me for September, i told her i would like to stop but she encouraged me to continue with the impression that i was just tested on my patience. I continued work and now halfway into this month of November i am yet to be paid for October.

The worst part is my boss has refused to show up at work, he avoids calls and sends no message. I eventually got across to him with a strange number and when he picked he said he has a lot of issues his going through but i can stop coming to work; just like that. I asked him for my pay and he said no money at the moment i should stop.

I really feel bitter as i have no one to fight for me and worse is i have debts i incurred in the process of going to work. How do i offset them and start again when am practically cashless. My monthly pay is 40,000 and it can't be too difficult for a man his caliber to pay but i feel he just wants to cheat me knowing there is nothing i can do.

Please nairalanders what do i do? i feel so bad, i don't even know what next to do as am so confused.

Why are the employers taking advantage of the jobless graduates and using them? How bad can it be for someone not working and then after working you get tossed in the bin? I want God to intervene but i need help. Please pardon any grammatical blunders and errors, as i am not in the right frame of mind.

Thanks.

Politics / Re: Graphic Photos From The Scene Of Yesterday's Bomb Blast In Kuje,Abuja by Osas001: 9:09am On Oct 03, 2015
Just for the sake of all the argument.. I can't but help to comment.... The problem with Boko Haram is not even religion, or the government. It is Poverty, Lack of Civilization, No exposure, am saying this to the youngs ones they recruit to carry out these bombings, it's a shame that the education system in the north is not as solid as the one in the south, west or east, even the bible says faith cometh by hearing, it is what they ard been schooled with, the life and hope they are used to, the society and environment that they belong to that determines the state of their mind, their actions... We need to get it right in this country and one aspect of the government or level of the government that needs serious concerntration is the local government level, they are the one close to the people, they are the ones that can determine and know the truth state of the people..

I'm fighting boko Haram, first let a team of data coalition be put in place, security and facial recognition cameras be installed on major traffic lights, bus stops, parks, garages, police stations, police vans, and related location, with that, then an intelligent unit centre for monitoring should be put in place in different locations, local government areas, state government areas that will be on 24hours surveillance of this nation, this will create more employment and thereby securing life in Nigeria.

The reason the Americans can always get their offenders is because they have these security checks on ground to make the work easy, while their foot officer do their basic investigation.

If any government official is on this forum and your close to the President, tell him it is time for Nigeria to have it's own security upgrade, checks, and facial recognition done.. nationwide. In south Africa, the camera at each traffic light can pick on a plate a d run it through the sSystem and bring an immediate details of the car, person as well... If we don't do this we won't be able to defeat the security threats to this nation.

This is not a Jonathan or Buhari thing, PDP or APC, it is the system that needs to be upgrade, serious improvement... Why did they have to focus on the outskirts of Abuja, it's because the security in that area is npt as solid as you have it inside the main city of FCT... Please pass this message tp the world. Thanks!

Career / Re: Why I Love Marketing (selling) Jobs by Osas001: 10:19am On Sep 03, 2015
Yes, Marketing is interesting. I was a marketer before I set up my own firm... Truth is everyone is expected to be a sales person, where security man or cleaner, as long ur selling what you do, its marketing. Being a marketer, it helps you to study pple, you almost act like them, you v to become an actor or actress to succeed in this line. As a marketer you think and act like a con man like a fraudster, your aim is to achieve your aim by whatever measure or strategy necessary.....

As a marketer you will v self confidence, not easily beaten when there is a twist. A marketer will always figure a way out... Marketers arr meant to be the smartest pple in an organization!

Yes, a facial recognition will give correct details of this person, it is not too much hollywood movies but rather lack or absent of such technology in Nigeria.. In south Africa, if ur car beats the red light, the camera will immediately capture your car plates, run it through the system, bring out your details and a bill will be sent for such an offence. We can apply such in Nigeria, how, at this stage every Nigerian has one point done one or two registration, all we need do is synchronize the data and store them at a centre unit or base which can be accessed by The Nigerian police force, so when there are cases like this, investigation beccomes easy for the cops to do, and that we way we can enhance the security situation in this country. This is actually a project I have been trying to put together with installation of cameras at every police stations, police patrol cars, traffic light. I even submitted the proppsal to the government but wé are yet to get a response.

how do we get the people at the top to tackle or put in place strategies that will make the security sector of the country more proficient.... ? With this project in play, we can guarantee bribe collected at each junction will be drastically reduced... This is not eradication corruption but simply to instill discipline within our security agencies and officers... Thanks!

The problem is, they are also lazy... I hate seeing beggars on the street, it's sad to see pple concede to the act of begging. if you give them alms today, tomorrow you will come back and you will see them begging. Even if life or situations are hard, begging is not the way out. She didn't fall out of thr sky neither did those babies manufacture themselves, she shld re-trace her root and find solutions rather than begging.!

Family / Re: Pls Help!! My Wife Fought With My Mother Following A Quarrel. What Should I Do? by Osas001: 8:10am On Mar 28, 2015
perfectionist:
Nairalanders, I'm in a quagmire! About one week ago, my mother came to visit my family with her sister and a friend. After the preliminary greetings and felicitations, I proceeded to take leave of my guests in order to go and service my car, leaving them in the hands of my wife after having provided some refreshments for them.
Now, my wife and mother have no love lost between them and barely get along but the joviality they displayed together in my presence combined with the fact that my mother's sister and friend were also around made me to believe all will be well and nothing will go wrong.
No sooner had I left home than I received a frantic call from my wife to return quickly that all hell had broken loose.
Upon getting home, I found my mother and my wife on the 3-seater going at each other with both wailing. I managed to separate them and proceeded to find the cause of the fight. I was told by the two onlookers (mother's sister and a friend) that my wife prevented my mother from taking some photos of the child dedication we did a few weeks back from the photo album. This incensed my mother and led to my wife being slapped following which all hell was broken loose. My mother even sustained a deep scratch on her face.
Now, my family members have insisted that my wife must leave the house for committing this abomination (their words, not mine). Indeed, my mother has told me in no uncertain terms that mother and son relationship has ended as long as my wife continues to remain in the house.
I love my wife and has two young children with her but this whole issue has complicated things.
What should I do? Your candid advice and suggestions will be appreciated.

My advice stay and keep your family working. it's not right to send your wife out of the house on the grounds of family instruction.. this is 2015, not 1982 where families decide on whatever they feel like and then leave the pain to you and kids... No matter what, keep ur family intact... Mothers can be the sweetest and also can be the most annoying sometimes, but if she meant peace shld wouldn't have slapped ur wife or take such a decision while you were not at home... No matter what. your Mom will always remain your Mom, no family decision can change that, but as for your wife, it's ur happiness and kids happiness and ur Godly ordained blessings that they want to trample upon. May God give you a complete wisdom to handle the issue right... If it were me, I would scold my mom, my sistrr get friend and the family that said or gave the instruction... What they won't accept, they shld rub it off on u.. Simple!
