Angels: Almighty Father, we are tired of these Nigerians ... in heaven o

GOD: What have they done this time?

Angels: Everything! They don't listen to instructions! They don't obey traffic rules, they don’t wait for their turn in anything! They are reckless!(exasperated). In fact they have turned heaven upside down since the first time we started admitting them.

GOD: Pls, bear with them. They are very special to me...ehm let me call Satan in hell to see how he's doing....
(phone rings) hell-o Lucifer, how are things over there…?

Satan: Baba God, pls call me later. There's an issue I'm trying to resolve.
(ten minutes later)

GOD: hell-o Lucifer
Satan: I'll call you back. The issue has turned into a crisis.
(one hour later)

Satan; Sorry Baba GOD.

GOD: Lucifer are you having problems over there?
Satan: It is these Nigerians I have with me in hell. He (stammers) they.. they....they have quenched the fire in hell and installed air conditioners"=)) Ġõõd ♍õяπĭπġ ♍Ɣ peeps=))
Romance / Re: What Sort Of Devilish Wife Did I Marry? by Osas001: 10:10pm On Jan 06, 2014
opetu: My wife has been a torn on my flesh, giving me headaches daily. It happens dat I met her in my final year in school (fellowship), we got close just as friends nd within 7 mnths of knowing her one thing led to the other nd she got pregnant for me, well i accepted my responsibilty. telling my parents also, It was actually a thing of mixed feelingz, bein dat i am the only child of my parentz, at least thats like having a second child for dem. Long story short i decided to marry her cos of the baby..wit the notion dat we woud build our early relationship in marriage ..

Now issue is dat My wife doesnt like d idea when my parent come see me in my home, alwayz grummble, she doesn have a close relationship wit my mom, mom is alwayz sad about this..I ve been married for 5years now, ma kids ve only visited my parents for a week, anytime i bring up d idea of dem goin to see them..we always quarell!! just last week sunday ma parents left their home so dey come take d kids for d nu year break, i ddnt tell ma wife, but she found out, it was a fight that happened ....wit her tearing my clothes.. my old man nd momma both cried seein dis, dey had to travel back dat evening seein dat my so called wife ddnt welcome dem in my home, Dis is just d little i can narrate !!

I have two kids now, i kinda hate having a second child wit her, now am thinking divorce, which i dnt want to, tried to b patient, but its like shez getting evil advice from sumplaces everyday, how many years more does my parents ve on earth dat i wont make dem happy at least to be wit their grandkids!! at first i thought dis was normal, or is it a normal thing for mothers to cling to their child dat way?? maybe am too soft on her!! sigh i wish i never married her d first place, i only wanted to rewrite my mistake by marryin her.

This is an in-house situation... Bt if I were in ur shoes..... Hmmm..... First u av 2 man her up n let her know u love her too much and if she can't accept ur kids arnd ur parent, den she's asking for a problem... Make her feel uncomfortable arnd u, bt loving 2wards ur kids, threaten her n show 2 her dat ur nt happy wit her choice or decision, n comfort her that she has nothing to worry abt ur parent.. In situation like dis, u nid wisdom, n 2 play smart.. Ur d man of d house, show dat 2 her.. Bt yet, dnt settle for a divorce, cuz it doesn't solve d problem, bt creates anoder sweet problem.. Continue 2 be a loving husby 2wards her, n kippin tellin her 2 adjust n ask her Y ?
Family / Re: Which Is Better: Boy Or Girl As First-born? by Osas001: 8:47pm On Jan 06, 2014
folymania: Hi,
I'm new @ this section and I need to hear ur opinion on sth.

Just wedded last month and its been fun.
The honey-moon has refused to end grin
But while my hubby and I came back from S/Africa (4m the honey-moon),
His mum took me aside and said she would like to have a baby-boy.

She was all blabbing about how it is better to have a boy as first born. Claiming that it would be difficult to handle a girl in this corrupt county of ours.

While I lightly pressed my point on the fact that a first born girl will still have time for her parents and siblings far longer than a boy.

U won't believe I've been having it tough with my in-law ever since and even my hubby has joined her

I really don't care. I just trust God 4 whatever he gives me. And I'll play my role.

But what do u guys think ? undecided

For me, I want a Boy first and if God says its a girl, I will accept n love my kids...!
Politics / Re: My Stand On Who APC Should Field For The Presidency/VP - Femi Fani-kayode by Osas001: 8:18pm On Jan 06, 2014
cramjones: MY STAND

The first challenge that the APC has is to build a formidable party that not only has a strong foundation and structure but also has a clear left of centre ideological leaning. Such a party must also be led by an impressive set of educated, articulate, clear thinking, historically-literate and courageous leaders who are ready to risk all, including their lives, to fight Jonathan and save Nigeria from the evil called the PDP.

The second challenge is for the party to identify and field a northern Presidential candidate that is acceptable to both northerners and southerners and to both christians and muslims from all over the country.

The third challenge is to identify and field a Vice Presidential candidate from the south west who can win the confidence, trust, minds, hearts and votes of the overwhelming majority of the yoruba people. If the south west does not provide the Vice Presidential candidate I fear that the APC may not win. The yoruba deserve no less and we must ensure that we are never marginalised or treated with contempt and levity again.

We put Jonathan there and he has betrayed us. We have not risked all, including our lives and liberty, turned our backs on him and resolved to fight him just to be left with nothing. The position of Senate President, Speaker of the House or anything else is not big enough for us and in any case they are fraught with uncertainties.

The yoruba must have the position of Vice President to make up for what they have suffered in the hands of others in the last five years and in return for the mammoth support that they will give the APC in 2015. Politics is a game of numbers. Yet let us make no mistake about it- if the APC candidate is a northerner his running mate must be a yoruba man.

If you want lasting stability, peace and equity in Nigeria that is the way to achieve it. Anything else will fail and will leave the door of victory wide open for Jonathan, his ijaw ethnic supremacists and their numerous friends and allies.

APC is just another PDP in the making... If truly these APC members has the interest of the progressive of the nation as they claim to have, why can't they work together with the present administration for the better good of the country.. Rather than creating confusion in the minds of Nigerians..! That's my pure & honest opinion!
Properties / Re: Abuja - A City Of Empty Houses by Osas001: 8:32pm On Jan 04, 2014
lynpetra: It's really pathetic to listen to the tales of homeless people in Abuja. Some complain bitterly of how scarce it is to get affordable homes here in the heart of the North.Such Irony! As my aunt drove me around this evening,I can't help to notice so many empty duplexes, bungalows, self contains,Block of flats around."Auntie all this houses na who them dey build am for?"I asked.Beautiful empty houses, several still under construction.Greed na bastard! An employed average Nigerian can never afford the price of only a Dog post in these houses!!Infact, who are those building this houses? Why build a house to leave it empty for years because no customer can pay the prize?Isn't it selfish, foolish and inhumanly wicked? Why not make it affordable as it is available? The only reason business isn't booming in Abuja is partly because plenty houses are empty,as a lot of youths live in places like Iyanya,Maraba,Kubwa, and the outskirts of Abuja.

I know our Govt system is made for the rich,we don't mean anything to them.Living in well built houses doesn't fit the average Nigerian. As they loot our money, every seconds of everyday, every minute of every hour, every day of every year, stealing big, dumping it here and there, hiding them by building so many Estates,Shopping Malls,Markets,Blocks of Flats,ALL FOR NOTHING!!!EMPTY AS THE YEARS GOES....They continue to hide this stolen money on properties and lands, some of which are taken by force from indigenes.....

Mmmh...God is watching.Still waiting for that revolution, surely it will come.It can only take time.

Elli-dude:
Some decisions are made out of Ignorance.. Certainly my case was more than just ignorance peer pressure almost added to my PRESAGED MISTAKE..

I met a lady online some two weeks ago [2yrs older than me] we got along so well..Like we were dating..She's more of a Nymphomaniac..

Knowing about this, i made a sex proposal to her and she accepted..

Seeming so excited, i made plans on how it would happen for its my first time of going to such extent of FOOLISHNESS ..

Since i stay with my parents, i knew their every activity and move as well as their schedules..And the 31st night would be one busy night for them..So we agreed to meet on the 31st night..

Leaving the consequences behind and focusing on the pleasure i got over excited about this adventure..

Behold, i soon came to find myself in a seminar..LUCKILY, THE TOPIC DISCUSSED WAS BASED ON SEX AND SEX ALONE..

Having noted the consequences and why its meant for only SPOUSES, i felt remorseful about my decision..

God willing, that same day [Two days before the day we decided to meet], i read a topic which talked about the dangers of early sex..

Touched by these two TOPICS, i gave up on my proposal to have SEX..

Still curious, i shared this with my friends..Some said there was nothing wrong about it but others DISAGREED STRONGLY AND PROFUSELY..With my own perception of wrong doings, I dropped it totally..

And finally i told her i couldn't do it..She asked why and i explained..

This is a story i shared for it maybe of help to someone who's having a similar thought in mind..

I keep wondering what saved me..

Could it be my conscience or GOD or those topics?
That i don't really know.
PLS O!! STOP INSULTING ME..Here are the lessons i'm proposing for young dependent guys..
1. You loose your worth
2. Virginity and Dignity
3. Lack of concentration in your studies
4. May lead to you becoming a young Dad which probably causes hitches in your marriage tomorrow
5. Contacting STD'S
6. Loss of worth among your loved ones..

Its not for popularity!!

Religion / Re: 2014 Prophecies By Dr. DK Olukoya Of MFM by Osas001: 11:16pm On Jan 01, 2014
josh001: Dr. Olukoya tagged the year the passover year with reference to Exodus 12 vs 21, wherein promises would be fulfilled, he also drew a nexus between the number 14 and the passover, going to the prophecies,he said,

1. This year is going to be one of great revival

2. It is going to be a year of many questions but very few answers

3. There is going to be deliverance this year from afflictions and bondages

4. A year of monumental failure for those who trust in the occult

5. A year of harvest of babies

6. A year of wonders and mysteries

7. A year wherein strange hands shall compete for flags and damage it(to be forestalled by prayer)

8. He said something about violent storms

9. A year of deliverance for many, as the passover signified an halt to the isrealites bondage.

10. Opposition against the righteous this year shall become powerless.

11. A year of heavy angelic visitation.

12. A year for prophetic dreamers(take cognisance of your dreams this year)

13. A year when God will raise up women who are prophetic voices for the country

14. A year when many companies shall go bankrupt (to be forestalled by prayer)

15. A year of earthquakes and famine.

16. A tough year for political leaders who are not standing straight.

17. Traders shall be chased out of Gods temple this year

18. A year of marine madness(had to have these shortened, there are 12 more)

Capping it, he gave seven necessities for this year, he said you need, divine presence, divine power, divine protection, divine provision, divine purpose, divine positioning and divine promotion, in conclusion he emphasised the need for the pleading of the blood of Jesus this year also drawing a nexus with the isrealites passover. Shalom.

Amen.. Let the Words of the Lord be Fufilled this Year, and I shall be a part of the Blessings of this Year.. Cheers#

Family / Re: Just Discovered I Have A 9 Year Old Daughter by Osas001: 9:34pm On Dec 27, 2013
smilelane: I once had a relationship with a lady while in university. Before I could come back from one sessional holiday, She has welshed on me. Unfortunately, communication gadgets weren't a commonplace at the time. However, I got in touch with her close friend who said she has decided to drop-out of school and move to settle with family in another region of Nigeria away from mine.

I couldn't get any immediate information from her said friend on why my girlfriend will take such decision without letting me in. I had no choice than to move on.

****************************************************************************************

fast-forward to 8+ later: I happened upon her friend and we shared warm pleasantry and memories. Before she bade me well, she left a sour pill in my mouth. She innocently/cunningly threw in that I have a daughter from her friend(my ex). I asked to stop it once if that was meant to be a joke. She said she was saying the truth but won't discuss it any further if I wasn't keen about it. By this time, I was both furious and disinterested and eventually called her bluff.

A year later after that meeting, her word kept ringing on my heart and I somewhat was able to get her number to call her about what she told me. To my greatest surprise, she confirmed it and has connected me with her friend who is now married. I have seen the baby girl on facebook. She looks exactly like me! But I am also married now.

So, how do I start telling my family and my wife especially? My wife doesn't look like anyone that will take the news calmly.

What a lovely event, bt pls move on, bt always acknowledge u av a daughter somewhere.. Maybe later on in like 5years or so, u can then talk 2 ur wife, family abt it, when every1 will be mature 2 accept the truth and live wit it, bt if u do it as e dey hot nw, omo datz serious issues.. Focus more on what matters nw, n datz building d family u got alrdy while d oda lady does d same.. Coolies, I love events like dis.. Cheers!

Religion / Re: An Encounter With A Ghost. by Osas001: 7:07pm On Dec 13, 2013
Pilot Oz: Iam not so sure where to put this, but i have been very terrified since waking up at 4:21am. I feel i was haunted, i feel my room is haunted. I feel there's been a paranormal activity in my room.. Iam 18yrs old, and here's my little story to share.. I knw well abt sleep paralysis, but this is something really strange, as i have never seen a thing like this..

So it was at sleep, during my rapid eye motion, i was just dreaming, i dunno if something is trying to give me a sign, in my dream, it was me and a girl, we were walking down the strt, then we passed a place were idols are kept, then all of a sudden i woke up frm my dream, i couldn't see a thing in my room, becos my light was off, and it was pitch black in my room, then all of a sudden, i heard something drop on the floor, so i thought it was just some pest running in my room, but no, the sound increased, and things were dropping in ryhthm, then it felt like someone was vomiting in my room, i couldn't see a thing, i thought it was my brother, becos he was playing game in my room before i slept.. I called at my brother's name "eseosa", i called again, there was no answer, and the sound kept on..

It scared the hell out of me, then i heard footsteps in my room, iam nt making this up, I swear i heard it in my room, there's a carpet in my room, so i can hear the lightest footsteps, then the footsteps were going to the direction of my shelf, i adjusted my poisition in my bed, trying to see through this, but everywhere was so dark, then suddenly, i heard someone pick up something frm my shelf, i started calling my brother again, but no answer..

Then i heard something drop again, and i felt the footstep moving towards my bed, i swear i could feel the presence.. I was so terrified, i laid down still, trying to stop my breath, then the footstep approached me closer but stopped.. Then a little white light began to appear, i have never been this scared, i heard my door open, i became so afraid, i closed my eyes and said "pls GOD forgive me my sins" i said the prayer like it was my last..

Then i suddenly sprang to my feet and ran away frm my room, with heavy breathing.. I went to my brother's room to find him sleeping.. I went to get a light frm his room, then i remained calm, then i decided to go back to my room, but i was really hesistant, hmm then i managed to go back with enough light, but i saw nothing hmmm, pls is my room haunted??

Today i will ask my grandmum if anyone has lived in my room before or if anyone that lived in my room has died.. I feel this room is haunted.. Pls

if u have had any experience, Pls share.. Cos i cant continue to sleep with these things in my head.. Pls

It was ur subconscious that opened up 2 d spiritual realm.. Before u go 2 bed, sanctify urself, and ur room, n pray unto thy father saying, he shld reveal unto thee the secret or reason for those activities.. 2 every dream u have in life, whether u av smoked all the weed of this world, or be drunk n wen u woke up in d morning n u could recall what ur dream says, that's a message 4 me.. I will only advice u intensify ur prayer life n draw closer to God while u can, he cld av revealed to anyone else, bt he chose you by ur 1st dream which a girl took u 2 a idol place... Hmmm... Fear not 4 God has not given u d spirit of fear but of sound mind, love and power to have dominion..... Relax ur mind n be anxious 4 nothing, bt pray, n equip urself wit d word of God.. If your still confused, then discuss with a Pastor! Thanks!

Celebrities / Re: Why I Married Peter Okoye Despite The Fact He Is My Junior – Lola Omotayo by Osas001: 8:30am On Dec 03, 2013
alfredo4u: Peter Okoye of P’Square and Lola Omotayo’s love story is compelling and amazing. The couple have been in a relationship for over eight years before they finally tied the knot on Sunday, November 17, 2013.

There has been a lot of talk and whispers about their marriage, the family issues and the fact that Lola is by far older than Peter Okoye has been trending. But why did she decide to marry someone who’s her junior?

Below is Lola Omotayo’s stand on their age difference…
Lola, who was a Business Development Director at FKG2m a marketing agency in Lagos, had told the story of how she and Peter met and how the relationship started:

“My agency handles some of British American Tobacco brands and P’Square was doing a show for us at one of our events in Enugu. Though I had met Peter a couple of times before then, at the show there was some chemistry.

He asked for my number and I refused giving it to him. I told him ‘if you really want to know me, you have to find my number’. So he took it as a task and found my number and the rest is history.”

Lola, said to be in her 30s then and Peter in his 20s, was not disturbed by the age difference. Her reason:

“Like I said, Peter is an old soul and he always tells me that I’m like a 23-year-old. Age is just a number. Right now, you can see it around the world. Demi Moore, Usher and some known people. Even in Nigeria here, they are dating people far older than their age. So, we shouldn’t base it on the age factor. He doesn’t make me feel like he’s younger than me.”

Hmmmn, is age really just a number in marriage, especially in Nigeria?

Literature / Who Moved My Cheese? by Osas001: 1:15pm On Nov 06, 2013
WHO MOVED MY CHEESE?

ONCE, long ago in a land far away, t here lived four little characters who ran through a Maze looking for cheese to nourish them and make them happy. Two were mice, named "Sniff" and "Scurry" and two were Little people, their names were "Hem" and "Haw."
They all shared something in common: every morning, they each put on their jogging suits and running shoes, left their little homes, and raced out into the Maze looking for their favorite cheese.

Finally, Sniff, Scurry, Hem and Haw all discovered what they were looking for. They each found their own kind of cheese one day at the end of one of the corridors in cheese Station C.
Every morning after that, the mice and the Little people dressed in their running clothes and went to Cheese Station C.

Sniff and Scurry continued to wake early every day and race through the Maze, always following the same route. When they realized that the cheese was running low, they moved on to find new cheese.

In the beginning Hem and Haw also raced toward Cheese Station C every morning. But after a while, they awoke each day a little later, dressed a little slower, and walked to Cheese Station C.

Hem and Haw didn't realize that the cheese was low, until one day the cheese was no longer there. "What! No Cheese?". "Who moved my Cheese?" he shouted. "It's not fair! "

They sat and contemplated about what to do. They were afraid to look for cheese elsewhere. They were afraid of change.

While Sniff and Scurry had quickly moved on, Hem and Haw continued to “hem and haw”.

Haw started to get depressed. He had made future plans based on this Cheese.
The next day Hem and Haw left their homes, and returned to Cheese Station C again, where they st ill expected, somehow, to find their Cheese. But the situation hadn't changed;the Cheese was no longer there. The Little people didn't know what to do. Hem and Haw just stood there, immobilized like two statues.

Haw eventually was able to see what he was doing, laughed at himself, faced his fears and followed Sniff and Scurry into the maze in search of new cheese, while Hem remained behind, thinking that somehow, someway, his cheese will someday be replaced.

Soon, Haw realized that he was enjoying the change of pace and that t he hunt really wasn't so bad. So he understood and embraced change, he wrote what he had learned on the wall, hoping the signs would help Hem find his way. Finally, he met Sniff and Scurry in the new cheese station they had discovered.

The story ended with Hem realizing that when you can read the writing on the wall, you can do well in changing times.

This book is a simple parable that tells an amusing story of 4 characters who live in a maze* and look for cheese to nourish* them and make them happy. They represent the way different people behave when they face change in their life.

In this parable* cheese is a metaphor for what we want to have in life: a job, a relationship, money, a big house, freedom, health, recognition, etc.
And the maze represents where you spend time looking for what you want.

The 4 characters are *Sniff, Scurry, Hem and Haw*

* Parable - parábola.
* maze - laberinto
* nourish - nutrirse, alimentarse
* scurry (apresurarse), sniff (husmear), hem (cohibir), hem and haw (vacilar)

Moral of the story

The moral of the story is that, sooner or later, each of us will experience change in our lives, and we will all deal with it in different ways. The ones who move on will have a chance to find a new source of comfort, while those that remain behind are condemned to failure.

The 4 Characters:

Sniff – sniffs out change early before others are aware of it.

Scurry – sees what is needed and takes action immediately (scurries into action)

Hem – “hems” and “haws” in a new situation and wish the change wasn't happening. That is, denies and resists change as he fears it will lead to something worse.

Haw –laughs at himself for not wanting to change, then moves on to explore the maze and comes to enjoy the taste of new cheese. That is, learns to adapt in time when he sees changing leads to something better.
