Contrary to popular belief that a smartphone with a large-capacity battery tend to be on a bigger side and feel heavy in the hand, itel has made this phone with an enormous battery to come in a slim design that feels sleek and comfortable when held in hand.
|
itel’s latest smartphone is hands down one of the best battery life smartphone in the market. With a 4000mAh battery capacity and powered by the latest Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition), there is no denying that this smartphone will fast become a disruptive force in the mobile market.
|
What stands out: • Fingerprint Scanner • Design • Display • Software • Battery Fingerprint Scanner: The major selling point for this device, and what I am sure will woo many people into getting it is the fact that there’s a fingerprint scanner. Something that has fast become essential (haha iSheep). I thought it would be a mediocre fingerprint scanner. Oh I will struggle with it. Oh it wouldn’t be accurate. I was surprised and impressed. One, the scanner is pretty fast and accurate. Two, you can assign different fingers different roles so when you touch the scanner, phone automatically opens and launches a particular set app. Three, for a small 5” phone, the placement is really good and your hand quickly reaches the scanner without much issues (yeah Nokia 6 couldn’t do that). So if you’re thinking of getting this phone and are wondering maybe the fingerprint scanner will be a disappointment. No it won’t. |
Not a single person I’ve shown the itel A32F has been able to correctly guess the price from just looking at the device. First person told me it was around 34,000 naira. Second person said 30,000 naira but I had told them the specs. The official price of the phone is 20,500 naira. It is at pricing where itel really got it right for me. Why? Well, one, it is cheaper than the Nokia 1 which has the same specs, but a smaller screen and no fingerprint scanner. Two, it is cheaper than almost every other mentionable Android device while offering the latest version of Android (Android P isn’t as yet official). And three, it is almost getting into Feature phone pricing as we’ve seen feature phones costing as much as 17,000 naira with the revamped Nokia 3310. So, without even delving into how it performs, you’re already getting a good deal. |
it is a known fact, phones have become cheaper, and cheaper phones have become better. It would be impossible a couple of years ago to get a good experience on a smartphone at less than 22,000 naira. I got my first smartphone in 2012. It had a 2.8” screen with 240×320 resolution, 832 MHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage (which was basically around 2.8GB), 2MP fixed focus camera without flash, no front camera, ran Android 2.3 and had a 1200mAh battery. The price I picked it up for was 37,500 naira. When Google announced the Android Go project a few months ago, I wondered what they were playing at. After consideration, I concluded, this project was meant to introduce the many people who still buy feature phones to smartphones. And to give them a smooth experience despite the devices having low end specs. Imagine the experience you would have on a phone with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, and a 1.3Ghz processor running the normal version of Android Oreo, like the OnePlus 6 which swipes through with 8GB RAM, 256GB storage and a processor that can power a Windows Laptop. It is an unfair comparison. The 1GB RAM phone will struggle. Things won’t work. Yet, before Android Go, this was the experience for millions of people who are buying such devices. So Google decided to fix this with the Android Go Project. What Google has done with Android Oreo (Go Edition) is make it lighter so that devices with such specs (1GB RAM or less) can get a better feel. So when you launch an Android Go phone, you’ll get Google Go apps, and a better, much smoother experience than you would get if it ran the official Android Oreo. Enter the itel A32F device:

OSA is the best man for Ekiti, his actions speaks volumes... |
Yet again, the time for our people to elect new leadership for our dear state has dawn. And already, different characters who seeks to govern our state in the face of the shabby outlook of affairs, have thronged the space and bombarded our people with varying promises. But, we must all watch it and critically evaluates those angling for Ekiti top seat and the ideas they shared in delivering governance that tallies with our yearnings and aspirations. More importantly, we should have the courage to try something new, something fresh, something different from the past of regrets. We can make a bold statement by picking a new age leader, whose thinking and ideal matched with the new order that is dictating the pace of developments across the globe. This is not the time to succumb to cheap propagandas and being brainwashed, instead, we should look at the personality, antecedent, experience and backgrounds of those aspiring to govern us, to decipher their capacity and willingness to drive a new Ekiti we all dream of. We must be bold enough to dispute arguments that a new face cannot make a positive change. We must be candid to remind them that past experiences have only brought regrets but a new face with the right ideas and commitment to service offers hope. We must also emphasise for their understandings that what Ekiti need at this dire moment is a pro-people leader genuinely ready to place people first. Someone who is concerned about fixing our tomorrow, today and creating a society that serves the people, no matter their social status. As our challenges has taken new dimension, so also is the need for us to embrace a new and fresh leader, whose modern knowledge and exposures have prepared to tackle the challenges faced by our people today. This is what is obtainable across the globe and Ekiti shouldn't be an exception. Insist on a new face with strong entrepreneural background, who have built businesses and can build a sustainable Ekiti. We must be careful not to repeat the mistake of the past, where our governance is sold to the highest bidder. We must realised that our oppressor, those in government, have the deep pocket and state resources to elongate our sufferings. We must remove the veil of fear and dare the establishment by embracing aspirant with positive mindset and ideas to liberate us from the pang of poverty. We should get out into the field, mobilise our friends and family to reject further enslavement and repression. July 14 is the day we should kick-start our redemption to prosperous future and we must not let it slip away. However, I have made a choice. A choice that clearly defined the future of Ekiti of our dreams– a future of prosperity and growth. Otunba Segun Adewale (Aeroland), bodes a right choice for Ekiti restoration. Many reasons abound for my choice. Otunba Adewale is an entrepreneur who have distinguished himself. From an unfeasible ground, he grew Aeroland Travel LTD, to top in the sector, returning billions in Naira as revenue annually. That shows he is a builder, which Ekiti state is in dire need of at this crucial moment. Just as he transformed his private business to a source of recurring revenue, Ekiti will witness tremendous growth in revenue generation bearing from his innovative approaches. Also, Otunba Adewale have always identifies with the downtrodden. A philanthropist well noted for his dedication to the cause of humanity. He's always passionate to provide succor to their pains. In his private ventures, he have provided jobs for hundreds, if not thousands of people, both directly and indirectly. Even more, about 80% of this figure are Ekiti descendants. Hundreds of young people are on his scholarship scheme, not minding dozens of people he have helped to start their own businesses and guided them to success. As the July 14 governorship election lurks, we must ask ourselves whether to remain stuck in the sordid experience of the past or embrace a new order that assures us of a better tomorrow. But, I believed that just as I have identified with a new and fresh face with the capacity to give us a choice of a better living, I have no doubt that you will all take the patriotic moves of sharing my view for Ekiti to progress. Before I drop my pen, I will like to prick your conscience to note that our society cannot improve when our worst are ruling us and as such, it's not too late to retrace your steps and embrace a visionary leader which Otunba Adewale represents. I urge you to reject old ways and join the push for a better tomorrow for Ekiti state. This suffering must end and it is you and I (I meant all of us in Ekiti) holds that decision. Let's make it happen by supporting Otunba Segun Adewale (Aeroland) as the Governor of Ekiti state. By Omowale Titilola, a student of Ekiti State University (EKSU) and writes from Ado-Ekiti |
Adewale donates N1million to Ekiti Students ...decries non payment of bursary allowance. Federation of Ekiti Students Union (FESU) of Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) Ondo State chapter over the weekend honoured an Ipoti Ekiti born politician, philanthropist and entrepreneur, Otunba Segun Adewale during a public lecture and debate competition organised by the Union. The event took place at T.I Francis auditorium, FUTA. In a lecture titled Entrepreneurship, a sustainability to the economy of Ekiti, Adewale said "No one is born poor. The difference between poverty and prosperity is our perspective and approach. You can't grow beyond your believe. You must first destroy every sense of poverty to be successful". The politician charged the students to discover their purpose and never be deterred by the challenges confronting entrepreneurs in Nigeria. "A failure is that man who falls in business and stay down. You should always fall forward if you must fall at all in business ventures. The bible in proverb 24:16 says For a righteous man falleth seven times, and riseth up again. Falling in business is not failure. You are a failure when you quit because you fell". He posited Otunba Segun Adewale, who is also a governorship aspirant in the July 14th governorship election in Ekiti State , vowed that entrepreneurship development will form a major thrust of his administration when elected. "The Nigerian economy has changed from the consideration of certificates acquired to deliverables. Employers today are more interested in your skills and how it affects profitability of their businesses than your course of study. Your certificate is a means to an end not an end in itself. He admonished the students to take full advantage of their academics pursuit in their various institutions. "Education is needed to sharpen your skills. Your skills are your God's given gifts which the bible say will make room for you. However, you need education to make the most of your skills." The event which attracted several Ekiti students across other institutions witnessed complaint about non payment of bursary allowance by Ekiti State Government for about 5 years. Adewale however came to the rescue of the students with a million naira." On the immediate, I have made available 1 million naira to ameliorate your financial burdens occasioned by the poor state of the Nigerian economy, especially as our government in Ekiti has continually shy away from its responsibilities to its workforce and the youth". In an interview with journalists after the programme, Adewale said non payment of bursary allowances for several years is condemnable. According to him, "it is an injustice to the future of Ekiti State. These students are the future of our State. It is the responsibility of those in government to give them hope. How can you not pay bursary to students whose parents you owed several months of salary areas?" He concluded.

EKITI 2018: WHAT IS CONTINUITY? Since its creation over 20 years ago, Ekiti State has been unlucky with its leadership choices, ditto Nigeria. We have over time had pretentious leaders deceiving us with peanuts, stealing our commonwealth and flaunting same with impunity. We have been governed by politicians without any clear developmental blue print or stooges who are loyal to their political godfathers. Inappropriate leadership has been a snag on our wheel of progress as a State. We must wake up to our responsibility as citizens and ensure a reversal of this ugly trend, especially as we approach the July 14, 2018 gubernatorial election. Going into the next gubernatorial election, we need a governor: 1. With a track record of Success. 2. That can envision better Ekiti 3. That is Genuinely endeared to the people. 4. That is capable of unifying State actors for the general good 5. With entrepreneurial skill needed to ensure a self sufficient State. As Ekiti electorates, we must ask questions from those seeking our votes. For instance, what is continuity? Should we continue the administration of unpaid wages to workers? Should we continue the breakdown of our healthcare system? How can we gainfully engage the unemployed youth population? The need for a breath of fresh air in Ekiti political space has never been stronger than now. Support a man with track records of successful ventures, a man who has demonstrated the capacity of building something out of nothing. Let us support a man with a clear developmental agenda for Ekiti State. Support Otunba Segun Adewale (Aeroland) for the development of Ekiti State as governor come July 2018. As a keen observer of events in Ekiti in the last three and half years of the current administration of Governor Ayodele Fayose, one thing is clear. There is so much cover ups by the officials of the government. Up till today, the IGR of the state is not known. No commissioner has is free. None can have any briefing with the press or initiate any project beneficial to the good people of Ekiti Contracts inflation is a common characteristics of the state government officials working secretly for the number one citizen of the state. Information has it that Mr Governor gets up to 25% as kick backs from all contracts up front. That is not good enough and therefore not acceptable for our dear State, Ekiti. So back to the point. What exactly is Governor Ayodele Fayose afraid of to the extent that he is branding Eleka as the face of continuity? Can't he allow the party decide its candidate? Continuity to protect the colony of looters who have made an occupation of milking the gold in Ekiti State? Continuity of poverty and senseless actions? Continuity of closing down businesses? Continuity of complains about what the past administration didn't do? A governor who attributes his ineptitude and lack of ability to pay the State workers because of the past administration? Clearly, as a serving deputy governor Prof Olusola Eleka has no visible impact in this government. His ideas are not allowed to thrive neither does he handle any real governance except the projects of Mr Governor. On good authority, his people in Ikere are divided over him being anointed by Mr Governor. Since his adoption, the town has not known peace just as the PDP in the state is divided too. Prof. Eleka has the sole mandate to protect the interests of his pay master who has created many holes in milking Ekiti of the common wealth that should be available and enjoyed by all. This is very obvious from the posture of Mr Governor to ensure his stooge, Prof Olusola Eleka emerges as the PDP candidate against the wish of the party. It is pertinent for Ekiti State electorates, particularly the youth, to stay alert and ensure we don't have Fayose's 3rd term in Ekiti using Prof Eleka as a cover up. Our dear State must be freed from the hegemony of looters and corrupted traders who pretend to be leaders. Dr. Ajisefini Solomon Convener Ekiti Rebirth Movement 17 Ajilosun Road, Ado Ekiti |

Monday 22nd January 2018 will forever be a day to remember in the lives of the football loving community of Ipoti and Ekiti State as a whole as Ipoti Comment FC had a novelty match with Araromi FC. The novelty match took place at Ipoti High School, Ekiti State in which Otunba Segun Adewale also participated by playing alongside the Ipoti Comment football club. Earlier before the match Otunba Segun Adewale promised to support both teams with brand new football jerseys and boots, and this good gesture was applauded by all and sundry. Our principal also paid homage to the Olupoti in council. The monarch blessed and prayed for Otunba Segun Adewale. He believes his entrance into the governorship race and eventual winning come July 14th will liberate our dear State from the chain of poverty. Below are some images from yesterday's event.

EKITI 2018: LET’S TRY A SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR AS GOVERNOR. As at today, Ekiti State is one of the poorest states of the federation. But pause and ponder. How have we gotten to this mess with human and natural resources we have as a state? How can a people so blessed with natural and human resources yet so poor? The wealth creation agenda of Otunba Segun Adewale (Aeroland) will reposition our state from being a begging to a buoyant state in few years from October 2018 if given the opportunity to lead the state with his thinking team. He remains the only successful and sincere entrepreneur among those seeking to govern our state in few months away. #RethinkEkiti Support Ekiti State Development Support Otunba Segun Adewale (Aeroland) for the position of Ekiti State Governor by July 2018.
