Good men are hard to find or are they? Ladies all the men in your life have not been bad. There was or is a good man that exists yet you over look him. Why? Sometimes I think it is because we don’t want a good man. We like the challenge a bad man presents. And while we are on the subject good and bad is all relative. The real question is do you know what you want? As for me I want a bad man I don’t want a good guy I have had good guys and overlook them time and time again. I claim I deserve to be loved and cherished but when I am I still find something to justify keeping my emotional guard up. So what I have been hurt in more ways than you can imagine that does not negate the fact that good men exist. And a good man can exist in MY life if only I will make a place for him. It goes back to self esteem ladies how do you view yourself? Do you know you are worthy of love, respect, and honesty or are these desires you allegedly want fulfilled when talking to friends? See because you have to know you are worth. Being factitious is not cool especially with yourself. If you want a good man then he is out there yours for the taking not the taking advantage of a ruining him for the good woman he truly deserves. If a bad man is what you want thank go head and get him with your bad self. But don’t be surprised when bad things happen to those of us who are truly foolish to wait on our good man. First and foremost stop looking because you will look right past him. Second, focus on me and less on we. The reason why I have struggled with this hiatus is because I was focused on we instead of me. I learned a lot about myself and I was not putting it to use. I cannot love lest I love me. Now I have raised the bar on loving me but not high enough to love someone else. It just cannot happen now if I accept applications it will be out of loneliness not a place of security. It will be out of insecurity and like naiveté desperation is not cute. My rebound game is not that good anymore I lost my elasticity to nonsense a long time ago. Now I am to be firm and fair with myself. I cannot have a man because right now I need him and I need to want him. Right now I needed attention, affection, admiration, and love from ME. so I have decided behest a good friend’s advice to devote at least an hour of my day focused on ME and improving myself. I cannot see Mr. Right at this point because I am too busy being Ms. Wrong that is incapable of loving Mr. Right the right way. The way he truly deserves. Back to my dating hiatus I go, throwing Mr. Right back into the see. When I am truly focused maybe he will find his way back to me. Until then! Are you Ms. Wrong trying to date Mr. Right? Do you prefer men who are more of a challenged and less vested in a relationship? Are you Mr. Right tired of vying for the affection of Ms. Wrong? http://www.osezy..com/2013/07/dating-mr-right-while-i-am-miss-wrong.html |
A lot of girls believe they are in a relationship with a guy while in actual fact they are just the side chick. Ladies don’t know where they go from being a friend, lover to a side chick. I had this friend who was so sure she was the main chick until when she realised that she was just a part-time girlfriend. She was always available anytime or anyplace for any type of sexual encounter. Unknown to her she was just a casual girlfriend, a step below the girlfriend. I think before a guy begins to sleep with a girl he should at least tell her where they both stand, instead of misleading her. There was this guy I liked and he was so clear that he has a girlfriend, so it was up to me to decide what role I wanted to play, if I wanted to be the other woman. For someone like me I love 100% attention so I don’t think I can play second to anyone. I appreciated his honesty because it is better to know what you are dealing with and be safe than not know at all. Even though I liked him so much, I can’t reduce myself to be anybody side chick. I can’t give my heart to someone who can’t even commit to me. Being a side chick means I am not good enough for the number one spot. My friend is heartbroken because she has invested a lot into the relationship. I think a relationship should be defined from the beginning; there should be an understanding between both parties so that no one eventually gets hurt. But if you happen to find yourself in such position, it’s ok to feel bad, cry if you want, move on before you waste your time and miss out on Mr Right. Sometimes there are signs but women are too blind to notice that they are side chicks. If you want to be a side chick don’t be a dumb, deaf and blind side chick. How do you know that you are his side chick? If you show up unannounced to his place and he is not happy to see you or you have to take permission before you can come visit. My hostel mate always calls her boyfriend before she goes visiting. Why do you have to announce you’re coming if truly he is your man? He only calls you to find out where you are and when you can come over. He needs you to clean, wash, cook and satisfy his sexual needs. He doesn’t want you to tell anyone about him and he hasn’t told anyone about you. If you are his real babe he will surely want you telling your friends, he will be happy to introduce you to his guys. You only spend time indoors so that no one can see you. Guys the fact that you are not sure about yourself does not mean you should go confusing everyone else around you. I have friends who have played the perfect side chick and eventually over throne the main chick. If you have no problem being the side piece means you went into the relationship fully aware of your position. Take note of the following rules... Rule one – know your place and act accordingly. You shouldn’t cause unnecessary drama, don’t disturb the main chick, don’t flaunt yourself and your activities around her. Rule two- Be smart, very important, protect yourself, don’t get pregnant, don’t go around telling your friends and don’t fall in love. NB- Never be a side chick to a broke dude and always remember if he cheat with you, he will definitely cheat on you Rule three- Always look your best Rule four- Sex him better than his girlfriend, yes before you shout Blessing, if his girlfriend was that good then what is he doing with you? Side chicks always have an upper hand, you remind him of those things his girlfriend is not and probably would never be. If you decide to get him to forget her and make you his real bitch , then girlfriend you need to increase your love rate, then form some kind of quarrel. The essence is for him to realise how indispensable you are and .... (you should be happy now) his relationship is over and you are crowned the new main chick. But remember Karma is a bitch and will come back to haunt you if you take what doesn’t belong to you... http://www.osezy..com/2013/07/side-chicks.html |
If men can do it, why can’t women? When it comes to the double standard of promiscuity men and women are separate NOT equal on this issue. Yes he can do it and no you should not follow suit. Promiscuous sex impacts men and women differently. For women, sexual promiscuity has emotional and physical ramifications. It is not in a woman’s nature to have multiple sex partners. Remember ladies we are internal creatures. Hence our sex organ is on the inside of our bodies. Men are external creatures and their sex organ is on the outside of their body. Let’s view this from a physiological standpoint when a man pulls out of you he is detached from you. Sex to them is a form of physical reaction with the end goal being an orgasm. Men don’t develop an emotional attachment through sexual intercourse. Men become emotionally attached to a woman based on things she can bring to the table I.e, loyalty or dedication. The question then becomes are you in a relationship or a long-term booty call? It is imperative that you answer this question to yourself in an honest and unabashed manner. Long-term booty calls often outlast most relationships. I would get emotionally attached to an emotionally unavailable man. Which reiterates the fact that women have no business trying to compete with men in this arena. http://www.osezy..com/2013/07/the-double-standard-of-promiscuity.html |
Playing House Ladies many of us treat our boyfriends like our husbands because in our mind we believe we are the one. We cook, clean, and everything for him. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? Not to mention many men carry the philosophy if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it philosophy. Don’t put all your cards down at once. Hold back a little. Make him wait. He Said No, You’re Not Listening He said no to the idea of marriage in the beginning and you think you can change his mind. Well ladies you cannot, his mind is made up if it changes it is because of him not anything you may have done. Ladies we have to learn to listen really listen to what he says not just what we want to hear. You Are a Liability When a man considers a woman to be his wife he is thinking she should be an asset. Definitely, not a liability, it could be one too many children, muddled in debt or even other things that he does not want to take responsibility for. You Are a Nag You whine, whine and all he hears is blah, blah, blah! Talk to him not at him. A man doesn’t want to feel like his relationship is a mother-child relationship. Where all you do is get after him about things you feel he is not doing. Lay-off or he will walk off with your ring and give it to someone else. He Doesn’t Respect Your Boundaries In the beginning you set certain boundaries in place, i.e., a 90 day rule, or you are waiting for marriage, and/or you would not tolerate certain behaviour. He bullied his way through of your rules and most importantly you did not enforce these rules by sticking to your boundaries. Why should he respect them if you don’t? He is a Commitment Phobic Ladies if you have a commitment phobic then you have a problem on your hands that only a therapist can handle so call in reinforcement’s honey. This is not something you can tackle alone. You Don’t Need Him Ladies a man wants to feel needed. He wants to feel like you need him in your life. Never be too independent that you don’t need a man or you will be single for the rest of your life. Granted he wants you to stand firm on your own two feet but make some room for him. Include him in your decision making, yes even in the financial department, make him feel a part of the team. Remember there is no I in team. You Are His Good Time Girl You are fun to play with but not good enough to meet the family. This is a tale-tell sign that you are definitely are not getting a ring. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you but it definitely means your time together has an ever approaching expiration date. Your days are numbered sweetie. His Other Woman Doesn’t Like You His Mom, Aunt, Sister, or any other close female in his life is not fond of you. No matter how old he is the opinion of any of these women matter to him. I used to date a man who’s mother could not stand me in the beginning so to get to know me for his sake at first she would invite me over to her house without him so we could connect. Which worked perfectly we got along famously even stayed in contact years later. If he is The One work on repairing things with the other woman in his life. Don’t brownnoses be genuine in your approach? Make it work! He’s Not Ready Sometimes we get caught up with the sound of our biological clock ticking, or thinking we have reached the age where we should have been married so we want to speed up the clock and our man just isn’t ready yet. Be patient with him I don’t mean wait around forever but talk to him about you desires in a way he can hear you without any nagging. Contemplate things from his perspective as well marriage is a big step and definitely shouldn’t be rushed. http://www.osezy..com/2013/07/reasons-why-he-wont-put-ring-o-n-it.html#more |
Last Saturday, 22 June, 2013, the Oba of Benin Kingdom, Oba Erediawa, Marks his 90th birthday in style. Benin City received dignitaries from all over the country to celebrate the ancient Oba of Benin Kingdom. The Edo State governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole was present and even though the king was absent from the celebration due to health issues, his son, Crown Prince Eheneden Erediawa, represented him through the event and the Oba's presence was felt all through the occasion. The cake was white and adorned with beads which symbolize purity of the monarchy. Privacy is about something personal that is not allowed for public consumption or usage. People have different things that are personal to them and from which others are restricted. I used to include a woman’s boobs when talking about her private parts. But I don’t think that is still the case because women now leave their boobs in the public arena for whoever cares. Now you see why I don’t want to call our boobs private. What triggered the desire to write this? Recently, on a friend’s Facebook page, there was a serious argument on the introduction and promotion of Vaginal Tightening creams and sprays to Nigerian women. I am happy because at the end of the very long argument, we all agreed that it is not in favour of mankind. We live in such a time when promiscuity has become the acceptable way of life. Decency is now frowned at and seen as hypocrisy and timidity. People now believe every girl sleeps around to make it. Manufacturers are not helping matters as they keep bringing out to the market products that are against nature. But one thing I am happy about is that no matter how much you try to fake it, artificial can never become natural. We live in a sex driven world where nothing matters, but sex. Even married women and men go out of the natural just because they must satisfy and be satisfied sexually. Since when did we start giving the place of love to sex? There is this sudden craze for vaginal tightening and boobs pumping by women and penis elongation by men; it is all deception and vanity. Whenever I get messages from guys asking for places for penis elongation, I don’t hesitate to remind them that it is always good leaving it the natural way. I recently heard a story about a lady in VGC, Lagos, who is now ashamed to step out of her house just because her bum turned out extraordinarily big and is now a source of embarrassment for her. This very lady was advised by friends who are Nollywood celebrities, to go for some bum enhancing drugs. A friend also told me about a colleague whose penis became too big that he could no longer go to work; it all started with his use of penis enhancing drugs. The truth is that all those babes with pumped breasts all have their regrets but they will never let you into their world. All you will ever see are the boobs falling out of their clothes. Look deep inside and you will see an empty heart dying in regrets. I have issues with the effectiveness of numerous vaginal tightening creams advertised on the pages of soft sell magazines. Some of my friends came up with the argument that it is a matter of choice and their patrons shouldn’t be condemned. I tried to let them know that we were not trying to condemn anyone, but evil shouldn’t be encouraged. If you look at this issue very well, you will come to agree with me that the negative effects of these vaginal tightening far outweigh the positive effects (if there is any). I want us to look at the two major effects of the introduction of Vaginal Tightening Creams into the Nigerian market: High rate of Infidelity: Infidelity is not a new word in our society. It started from the time of our fore-fathers with men fathering children from different women. Women were taught to live and walk in decency if they must enjoy their body. But what is happening today, there is so much deception in our society to the point that girls now believe they can live any kind of life and sleep with five men every night only to appear decent with some kind of cream, drops, and sprays. But I am happy with what some of my male friends said; once you are disvirgined and your vagina widened by the different sizes of penis entering you, there is no solution. I just pity the men who have suddenly and foolishly become toys for small girls to play with. You can go ahead with the different men you sleep with, but a time will come when those vaginal soaps and creams won’t do any magic. I wish the Nigerian government can look into the deceitful adverts we have on the pages of soft-sell magazines. What is the ministry of health doing about all these madness? One illiterate comes up and starts making noise about some lies. Almost every building on Allen Avenue and Awolowo Way, Ikeja now has one small shop where girls go to protect themselves. They no longer advertise other products as much as they do sexual products. I agree with you that a good sexual life is necessary for couples to be together. But the most surprising thing here is that it is even our young girls who now go for these vaginal tightening. And even in the midst of all the tightening, men are becoming more unfaithful. Don’t you think there is something wrong with our generation? Dryness: I don’t know why even the so called educated women fall easily for these devilish lies. Can’t you learn to make research and know the effects of whatever action you want to take? Must you always flow with the crowd? It is high time Nigerian women learnt to use Blackberry and laptops for reasonable things and not just to send out nude pictures to men who care less about them. All those vaginal tightening creams are what will make you age early down there. You keep running for lubricants each time you want to have sex and with time your man loses interest in you even after you must have spent so much to satisfy him. My dear, those vaginal tightening creams and sprays, just like vaginal douching, strips you of the natural vaginal lubrication God has blessed you with while leaving you susceptible to infections and diseases. Like I said yesterday, we have people and different NGOs all over calling for support and doing their best to create awareness on the spread of cancer. If you are not careful, people will be asked to donate for your own cancer treatment and also know that there is no effective law protecting consumers in Nigeria. Aside cancer, when your vagina is dry, there will be constant itching. I must not fail to give an advice on your use of “Spanish fly”. It could be dangerous and life threatening. It leads to painful urination, fever, and blood discharge. There are natural aphrodisiacs you can use and eat regularly for good sex life. Try eating more of carrot, chilli, cabbage, tomato, nutmeg, celery, ginseng and avocado pear. Please stay away from those packets of tea you see in supermarkets; they could lead to death. Live a good and healthy life, exercise regularly; that’s all you need. You are living your life and according to you, enjoying it to the fullest. But my dear girl, you will end up in tears except you make a change. A time will come when that vaginal tightening cream won’t help again. That time is coming when you will see the destruction in that small bottle. For now, the best way to keep your vaginal muscles is decency and healthy living. It is your private part; please keep it private. http://www.osezy..com/2013/06/how-private-is-it.html |
Never Be Unfaithful To Your Wife This is a biggie. Marriage is sacred - whether you are religious or not. Being unfaithful to your wife not only proves to her that you disrespect her, but also that you are untrustworthy. Simply never even think about doing it, much less actually doing it. The excitement of an illicit affair is simply not worth the pain it brings. Never Lie To Your Wife Being truthful, and speaking only the truth, is the only way to ensure that you are never "caught out." If you lie to your wife you will be caught out at some stage, and then she will wonder how many other lies you have told her, and whether you can be trusted at all. It might be painful to tell the truth, but it is always less painful than being caught out lying. Never Listen Half-heartedly When She Talks Not listening when someone speaks is rude and shows disrespect for the person. If you do this your wife will grow to resent talking to you, and that is not a good position to get into in your relationship. Concentrate on what she says, and respond intelligently. Don't Neglect To Assist With Household Tasks This is an area where many men are guilty. If you do not assist your wife with the household tasks you communicate to her that she is only your slave. On its own it can already destroy any feelings that your wife has for you, and together with the other things we mention it just makes things worse. Help her with household tasks – and not only every now and then either. No, make it a habit to help her, and watch how her respect for you grows. Do Not Point Out Her Shortcomings We all have shortcomings because nobody is perfect. I bet you don't like it when someone points out your shortcomings to you, do you? No? Then do you think your wife enjoys it? Of course she doesn't. And she likes it even less when the person closest to her - her husband - is the one bringing it up. Only someone with a caveman attitude could argue that she "just has to take it" because she is inferior in any case. She is not inferior - God has made her extra special, in fact. Do Not Lie On The Couch / Watch TV While She Work Lying on the couch and leaving your wife to do all the work is nothing other than letting her be your slave. This type of behaviour screams at your wife that you have non respect for her. If you indulge in this behaviour you should NOT be surprised if she leaves you for someone who treats her with respect. Help Her With The Children We are decades past the time when it was the "little woman's job" to raise the kids, while her husband went out with his buddies. Not helping her with the kids – that YOU helped her produce, by the way - is not only part of your responsibility, but will also strengthen your relationship both with your wife and your children. An actively involved father is one way of ensuring well- balanced kids. Do Not Compare Her To Other Women How many guys can be married to the most beautiful woman on earth? Only one, because there is only one most beautiful woman. The others are second most beautiful, third most beautiful, etc. So there are ample opportunities to see women with lovelier hair, more beautiful eyes, trimmer figures, better legs, a tighter butt, slimmer tummy, etc. than your wife. But do you really have to pint this out? How would you like it if she begins to compare you to Kevin Costner, Brad Pitt and Leonardo di Caprio? Or to the better looking guy next door? Keep away from this destructive behavior and rather look for things to compliment her on. That will build you relationship rather than breaking it. Do Not Criticize Everything She Does Remember that criticism is one of the most destructive things we can do, so beware of this. If you want to criticize, rather think of another way of approaching the issue. Instead of saying, "Not fish again? You know I hate fish!" you could say, "Honey, even though I don't like fish, I know that the Omega oils are good for me and that you prepare it because you care for my health." That takes the criticism - and therefore the sting - out of what you say. Do Not Leave Her Sexually Unsatisfied A proper orgasm (or two or three or four orgasms) is something that gives your wife massive joy. It is your task, no your privilege, to assist her to reach massively satisfying, mind blowing orgasms. You should not have a "get" attitude towards sex (getting what you want), but rather a "give" attitude (giving her what she wants). If you just get on her, and roll over once you are done, then there is no joy in it for your wife. Remember that to your wife sex is almost as much an emotional act as it is a physical one. Learn all you can about becoming the type of lover for whom your wife will be glad to strip her clothes because you satisfy both her emotional and physical sexual needs. http://www.osezy..com/2013/06/10-golden-rules-on-how-to-avoid-ruining.html |
All relationships require work. They don’t just materialize and maintain themselves, and they aren’t built on a foundation of convenience either. They take time and patience and two people who are willing to put in the effort. Here’s how to do your part – things you need to give in your relationship: 1. Attention Neglect based on lack of attention damages relationships far more often than malicious abuse. There’s nothing more vital to the bond you share with others than simply being there for them. When we pay attention to each other we breathe new life into each other. With frequent attention and affection our relationships flourish, and we as individuals grow stronger. This is the side effect of a good relationship – we help heal each others wounds and support each others strengths. Bottom line: Stay in close touch with those who matter to you – communicate openly on a regular basis. Not because it’s convenient, but because these people are worth the extra effort. 2. Trust The entire fabric of our society – people working, living and breathing together – relies on the positive beliefs we have about each other – a subtle, inherent trust. This trust is the glue that holds every peaceful civilization together. Which is why trust is the greatest compliment you can give a person, even greater than love. The only way to build this trust, or find out if someone is trustworthy, is to trust them. When you do, without a doubt, you’ll automatically get one of two results: A friend for life or a lesson for life. Either way the outcome is positive – you determine which relationships are worth your long-term attention. 3. Honesty When your intentions are good and your cause is just, honesty will always help you. When your heart is open to love and truth, your lips will not utter lies that haunt you. When people are honest with each other up front, the truth may hurt sooner, but the suffering always dies faster, and out of this suffering comes growth. Be honest about what’s right, as well as what needs to be changed. Be honest about what you want a relationship and how you want to be treated. Be honest with every aspect of your relationships, always. The bottom line is that relationships don’t hurt. Lying, cheating and twisting reality until it screws with someone’s emotions is what hurts. Never mess with someone’s feelings just because you’re unsure of your own. If you are unsure in any way, be sure to say so. Always be open and honest. 4. Loyalty Stand by those you care about in their darkest moments, not because you want to stand in the dark, but because you don’t want them to either. Brave the shadows alongside them until they’re able to find the light. On the flip side, stand by these same people on their sunniest days, not because you want to scorch your skin, but because you’re not afraid to let them shine bright. In other words, be loyal. You can’t promise to be there for someone for the rest of their life, but you can sincerely be there for them for the rest of yours. When it comes to relationships, remaining faithful is never an option, but a priority. Loyalty means the world. 5. Teamwork The most important trip you will ever take in life is meeting others half way. You will achieve far more by working with people, rather than working alone or against them. That’s what healthy relationships are all about – teamwork. The strength of every relationship depends on the strength of its members, and the strength of each member depends on the quality of their relationships. Anyone who helps you to make your half-heated attempts more whole-hearted through passion, love and teamwork, is a precious friend and teacher. They are part of your dream team. These people are out there. Connect with them and conquer the world together. 6. Acceptance There’s no such thing as a perfect relationship. Even if it seems perfect now, it won’t always be. Imperfection, however, is real and beautiful. It’s how two people accept and deal with the imperfections of a relationship that make it ideal. The quality of the happiness between two people grows in direct proportion to their acceptance, and in inverse proportion to their intolerance and expectations. They must appreciate their similarities and respect their differences. 7. Forgiveness Forgiveness is one of the greatest virtues to which you should always seek. Imagine if everyone you knew was willing both to apologize and to accept an apology. Is there any problem that you all would not be able to solve? The willingness to admit that we are all human, and to forgive sincerely, is a sign of your emotional strength and maturity. Ultimately, this forgiveness is for you. It sets you free from the shackles of the past so you can take the future in stride, regardless of whether you choose to bring certain people along for the ride. Forgiveness is not saying, “What you did is OK.” It is saying, “I’m not going to let what you did ruin my happiness forever.” Forgiveness is YOUR remedy. 8. Empathy Sometimes we feel as though the world is crashing down around us, as if the pain we are experiencing is unique only to us in this moment. This, of course, is far from the truth. In fact, the very demons that torment each of us torment others all over the world. It is our challenges and pain that connect us at the deepest level. We are all in this together and we should treat each other as such. If you think about the people who have had the greatest positive effect on your life – the ones who truly made a difference – you will likely realize that they aren’t the ones that tried to give you all the answers or solve all your problems. They’re the ones who sat silently with you when you needed a moment to think, who lent you a shoulder when you needed to cry, and who tolerated not having all the answers, but stood beside you anyway. Be this person for the people you care about. 9. Self Love Relationships don’t create joy, they reflect it. Joy comes from within. Relationships are simply mirrors of the combined joy that two people have as individuals. What you see in the mirror is what you see in your relationships. Your disappointment in others perfectly reflects your disappointment in yourself. Your acceptance of others perfectly reflects your acceptance of yourself. Thus, the first step to having healthy relationship with anyone else is to have a healthy relationship with yourself. You are powerful and beautiful when you love yourself. So get up, look in the mirror and say, “I love you, and I mean it!” Also, respect yourself enough to never feel guilty about removing toxic people from your life. It doesn’t matter whether these people are relatives, romantic interests, coworkers, old friends, or new acquaintances – you don’t have to make room in your life for people who make you feel like you’re less than you are. http://www.osezy..com/2013/06/what-your-relationship-needs-to-survive.html |
Many want to be successful but not many are interested in learning how to handle success. For instance a man who has been raised from zero level to an hero, if he doesn’t know how to handle his position, will find himself back to zero level. The fact that you are now a millionaire doesn’t mean you spend your money foolishly, being in an honoured position doesn’t give you the right to look down on others. Fortune knocks on yours door and you invited him in, is not enough to be proud and feel you own the whole world. When you have said good bye to failure you must be on the right track in order not to collide with it again. The question now is how do we handle our success? Remain humble, don’t give way to pride, arrogance. You need to be diligent in your dealings and attitude. Don’t ever look down on others; never make them look inferior or uncomfortable with your presence. Bragging or Boasting is not allowed, because in whatever position you find yourself, you still need to move to a better one. Be humble Success stays with the right people, who have genuine character and knows how to handle it http://www.osezy..com/2013/06/how-to-deal-with-success.html |
In its travel advisory, the Goethe Institute had warned: ‘Pack an umbrella and a sweater.’ For no particular reason I had ignored the warning and I was about to learn the hard way. As soon as we touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, for the 10 Cities project, sponsored by Goethe Institute, Nairobi and designed to capture the evolution of club culture and music in 10 cities across the world, I knew I was in a different environment. For one, the air smelt clean but the weather was cold, so cold I could feel it in my marrows. We had spent two brainstorming days that included power point presentations, in-depth discussions and debates. Now the organisers felt we should take a retreat and visit one of Kenya’s treasured resorts, Lake Naivisha, located in Nairobi’s countryside and elevated at 6000 feet above sea level. It promised to be an exciting experience as we had been informed that the journey would take us through the rift valley, which I had read about in the Geography books back in my secondary school days. Though, it rained the previous night and the weather was cold and I was shivering, I was excited and looking forward to the journey. I had scarcely settled into the tour bus with my colleagues from around the world when my phone beeped. “Hello,” I said recognising the voice to be that of Mercy (surname withheld). “Tony, that headline was not good, that headline was not good, how could you have done that,” Mercy moaned endlessly. “I was confused and perplexed, what was she talking about on a Sunday morning...what was happening...? “What are you talking about?” I finally found my voice. I had forgotten that I had done a story on actress Mary Uranta, her client, which was yet to be published before I left for Kenya. However, it soon dawned on me that she was complaining about the headline. “I am in Kenya. I haven’t seen the story,” I said with a promise to revert to her as soon as possible. As we drove through Nairobi’s countryside, I was deeply troubled. I couldn’t wait to make it to Lake Naivisha and view the story online myself. However, when we finally made it to Naivisha, Internet connectivity was poor and so I couldn’t access the story and attempts to recharge my phones were not successful. I had scarcely settled into my apartment by the lake when the deluge began. In less than an hour, I had received over 20 phone calls from Nigeria; calls from concerned friends and family members including my wife. They were all bothered by a broadcast that had emanated from Mary Uranta declaring that she had never met me and did not grant me an interview. She added that my story which was published on the cover of Sunday Sun of April 28, 2013 was downloaded from the Internet and bogus! I was troubled. On a dozen occasions, I tried to either call Nigeria or view the story online but all my attempts were futile. While I could receive calls from Nigeria, calling out was a great challenge. What compounded my plight was that Internet connectivity though available was very unreliable at Lake Naivisha. Consequently, I had to endure three days of suspense and sheer torture. It was until when we returned to Chester House where we were lodged in Nairobi on the evening of Tuesday, April 30 that I finally had Internet connectivity. I quickly went online and logged into my email. It was then that I saw the mail forwarded to me by my desk head, Mr. Tosin Ajirire entitled, Broadcast from Mary Uranta. For over five minutes, I stared in utter disbelief at the mail credited to Mary Uranta, which had been trending on BB, Facebook and Twitter. So acidic was the tone it had the capacity to destroy my reputation as a journalist. What hurt me most was that the mail claimed that I had been begging Mary Uranta for an interview. I find that most ridiculous. In my 11 years as a journalist, I have interviewed the hottest acts both in music and Nollywood, and I never had to beg to have these interviews. So, why would I beg Mary Uranta for an interview? Furthermore, she denied never knowing or meeting me and I was surprised at her declaration. Setting the records straight Until mid to late last year, I had never heard the name, Mary Uranta. The first time I heard her name was when Mary’s publicist, Mercy, had approached me at an event in Lagos and asked how she could get her client on the cover of the Sunday Sun or TS Weekend, our Friday pullout. As Mercy tried to sell Mary Uranta to me, I admitted that I knew nothing about her. However, Mercy insisted that the actress needed visibility and was in the process of re-branding and so would love to grace the cover of the Sunday Sun or TS Weekend. According to her, if I could deliver, there would be financial gratification as her client was willing to part with cash to achieve her desire. However, knowing fully well that it was against journalism ethics, I had declined the advance and advised that she should make Mary available for an interview and if she gave me a good story, she would definitely make the cover. It was on this note that we ended the discussion. READ MORE: http://www.osezy..com/2013/06/tony-ogaga-erhariefe-breaks-silence-on.html

1. Sex is NOT love. Love is not sex. 2. You can have sex and not be in love. You can be in love and not engage in sex. 3. A man may hate you and still have sex with you. Contrary to popular belief, the priority on a first date should be more about not making a mistake rather than making a good impression. Face it, the very fact that a guy asks you for a date means that you have already made a good impression. #1 Don’t make suggestions; let him be in charge Hopefully, you will never be in the position of a guy asking you for a date, and then showing up at your door and asking you the question every woman dreads, “So, what would you like to do?” To be fair, the reason some guys do this is because they are worried about planning something that you don’t like. Rather than making a mistake in selecting the activity, they instead choose to avoid the risk of rejection. Most, thankfully, know they need to plan the evening. If, however, you are asked about your preference, maintain your role as receptive female by saying, “I’m not sure, what did you have in mind?” This will set the tone that HE is the man, and that it is his job to plan an evening to please you. Don’t worry about coming across as a snob, witch or worse. If he is so insecure that he needs you to plan the evening, good riddance. Better you discover this about him now than later. #2 Don’t pay for the meal Regardless of what part of the world you live in, nearly every man believes that a clear sign that a woman is not interested is her insistence in paying for her own meal. Now, many women have confided to me that they have offered (rather than insisted) to pay for their meal because they didn’t want to give the impression that they were selfish or just out for a free meal. While their intention is noble, men don’t view it that way. Any first date is about a woman acting like a woman, not an equal. Leave the concept of fair at your work or school. He didn’t ask you out because he wanted to spend the least amount of money possible. On a first date, a man is more concerned that he can please you than he is about spending an extra $20-$50, I promise. http://www.osezy..com/2013/05/3-first-date-no-nos.html |
Ask yourself, is it worth it? Is another guy worth losing the one you have now? Is flirting with another guy worth seeing your guy feel devastated? Is seeing another guy worth seeing your guy cry? Is cheating on your guy with another guy worth making him feel hurt? Is lying to your guy about the other guy worth the disappointment from him when he'll hear it from other people? Is leaving the guy who's always been there for you for some guy who ruined the relationship worth it? Now think of where you are going, is it gonna be a bed of roses? Won’t you face misunderstandings which might even be terrible than the ones you want to escape, is the guy you are gonna date a heaven sent angel that he is perfect in everything? Are you really determined that you won’t regret? Come on you guys built this relationship for so long now why quitting it? Don’t you think there are very many single ladies out there who are willing to replace you? Think about it before you move on. http://www.osezy..com/2013/05/ladies-think-twice-before-you-let-go-of.html |
The first time I met Mr Lanre Nzeribe, Monalisa introduced him thus: "Egor, meet my best friend". It didn't take me long to realise what she meant. From the bottom of my heart, Lanre is one of the most responsible men I have ever met, the gentleman kind who'd open the door for his lady or hold her hand up the stairs to prevent her from tripping. He treats Lisa with so much love and respect and those that are close to them can testify to this. I've been so happy for Lisa, because being a witness to what she had suffered in the hands of her former marriage, this relationship was just a blessing from God. This is the second time in my life I am going behind Monalisa's back to do something like this, but I like to follow my instincts and hope she'd understand later. When Lisa was suffering Domestic Abuse, I was so mad and said to her, this must stop, I am going to tell everyone what this man has been doing to you, she begged and begged me not to and I can still hear her exact words ringing in my head, "Egor, you know your mentality is too British, over here it's a shameful thing to leave my marital home whether he beats me or not, so please hide me oh and don't let anyone hear this kind of thing". Wow! Is this what our country has degenerated to? To make people believe that running away from a violent husband is 'a shameful thing'? To make rape victims feel ashamed like it is their fault? We lost one of our best news anchors because our society had taught her to be 'ashamed' of being raped. Go and read about Gabrielle Union, Teri Hatcher and many other Hollywood stars that suffered horrible abuse and how talking about their experiences helped a lot of people that were suffering silently. Naturally, the reality that beautiful celebrities like these can suffer the same abuse as themselves, was strong enough to heal many victims. These celebrities have remained heroes to date in Hollywood for using their bad experiences to heal others. Nigeria, when will we progress? "Wetin 9ja dey do sef"? (RIP bro) When Monalisa left her marriage, as if the abuse she suffered there wasn't enough, the public started their own. She was receiving abusive emails daily from the judgemental public for leaving her marriage and was so stressed, I don't know how she survived it. While all this was going on, her evil ex was texting her daily. If I reveal the contents of those text messages, you'd think I'm making them up. There are so many things Monalisa suffered that I'd take with me to my grave. Those that were close to her were so mad and in anger, her uncle, Mr Kool, damned the 'shameful' consequences and spoke out. When Titi (RIP angel) was hacked to death by her husband and the shocked public cried out in anger, it didn't occur to them that they had contributed to her death by making her continue to stay in an abusive relationship. Monalisa was beaten up so many times by her ex, even when she was pregnant, but she stayed for as long as she could out of 'shame' for leaving her marital home. The day she ran, she was using Tamar to shield herself hoping that he'd see his daughter and stop beating her, but the mad man beat both his daughter and herself and continued beating them like a crazed demon, that she didn't realise when she grabbed her daughter and turned Carl Lewis. As the public outcry about Titi intensified, I felt so hurt that many of our women will continue to die like this if we don't change our mentality, and it was that hurt that propelled me to go behind Monalisa's back and write this post (link below). That was when the shocked public started realising that they had nearly killed her and so many of them emailed, sent messages on Facebook, with some even admitting that they had also contributed to insulting her for leaving her marriage and apologised to her. Since then, you've all witnessed how God has vindicated her With the details that I've revealed above, you can understand why I'd be so pleased and thankful to God to see my friend and sister being treated like a queen by this perfect gentleman. What a lot of you don't know is that Lanre and Monalisa have been together for about two years. Lanre is a quiet and private person and does not like publicity, so people didn't really notice. Their relationship recently came to the public light because of Tamar's star studded birthday party and since then, insults have been heaped upon them in all their flying colours. How long will they continue to hide their relationship? Did they kill anybody and aren't they entitled to be happy? I had never known or heard anything about Lanre Nzeribe prior to meeting him through Lisa and I've already described the Lanre that I know. So I was surprised to read the stories circulating social media and blog sites and was convinced they were mistaking him for someone else, especially when I read some false comments like him being with Lisa for her money. If it is money, I can tell you for nothing that Lanre is a millionaire. It is just because he is quiet and does not make noise. Every time I've dined with them, it's always at one posh Chinese or the other, the guy is very classy. These internet trolls are saying things that they have no clue about, with some just repeating the same baloney that they read. Now, concerning the stories about who and who Lanre dated in the PAST and so on, please stop for a minute and calculate how many years ago that was. I have an uncle that was a playboy in his younger days and today he is a pastor, a model husband and father. He is just two years younger than Lanre, but because he isn't in the public eye, if you see him, you'd greet him with respect and address him as 'sir'. A lot of you are insulting a big man that isn't even your mate and judging him on his past just because he is in the public eye. I don't care about his past, this is definitely not the same Lanre Nzeribe of then. You guys should stop the bullying and insults or else God will judge you. Why can't you feel happy for Monalisa after knowing what she has been through? Do you want to kill all our celebs with your bullying? I thought you had learnt after Goldie. Celebrities are human and have feelings. In her attempt to re-brand herself, you bullied Oge Okoye and made her hypertensive. "She's an mgbeke"...she's this...she's that..." you kept firing! While you were busy bullying her for nothing, more talent scouts were noticing her. You were too busy putting her down to even notice the beautiful concepts, only few with the trained eye and who genuinely understand art, left meaningful comments. Look at all the magazines she has covered, yet instead of encouraging her, you bully her even more. Her first big screen movie with Hollywood stars was just premiered in Lagos and instead of congratulating her, you continued abusing her when you saw photos, with some abusing her dress even though she looked hot. Oge is an only child, please don't kill her for mother. I should be happy after the successful premiere of Turning Point, but instead I am here feeling hurt because trolls have been insulting my friends who came there to support me. I was touched at the amount of people that came for me. Desmond's wife was very ill and he came very early and had to go late, as we didn't start on time. If it weren't because of me, he'd never have left his house that day. If it weren't because of me too, Lanre wouldn't have come with Monalisa to the premiere, he doesn't like publicity and doesn't want insults. I saw him step aside a lot when Lisa was being photographed and knew that he only took those few photos he did to please me. I could not believe the insults I read afterwards from these evil people insulting Lanre and Monalisa. What annoys me the most is the calibre of people that have the guts to insult these successful and accomplished stars who have worked hard to entertain them, just because they are in the public eye. These scallywags will insult a Nollywood legend like Segun Arinze calling him ugly. Imagine the insult. I once read a comment from one that calls himself PRINCE JOBLESS referring to Desmond Elliott as "an wrinkled old man" (sic) and Oge Okoye "a donkey". I clicked on his profile in shock and saw one rat that looks young enough to be my son and shook my head. Obviously a juvenile delinquent. Mehn...pessin dey suffer oh! An accomplished actor, producer and director chopping such insults from an intellectually challenged cretin. God dey. I'll give you some free advice: It is important to have a good heart and not be envious of others because that is the only way that God will bless you. It is not too late to change. And to you (you know yourself), NEVER bite the fingers that fed you, NEVER EVER. And to all those evil, jobless internet trolls, hear this: Every time your coward selves go behind your computer to write one negative word about Lanre Nzeribe, Monalisa Chinda, Desmond Elliott, Oge Okoye, or anyone that I am affiliated to that I know is a good person, pray that I do not read your comment, because if I do, I will kneel down and pray for you and I promise you one thing - God will answer. You may be 'anonymous' to us, but you are not anonymous to God. These are good people, so please leave them alone. You don't have to like them, all I ask is that you should stop insulting them. Thank you. To all my lovely friends and family that came to the premiere of Turning Point, I am putting up a special thank you post for you next, God bless you all. I've been burned out since then and will post all the exclusive and unseen photos of everyone. Finally, to all our lovely celebrities, please take Beyonce's advice and stop reading comments from these trolls. She said she never ever reads them cos she knows they can be hurtful, so please don't put yourselves through that. Just read the post and look at the photos, please don't read the comments. You are the important ones up there and they are the jobless ones down there hiding behind computers to spew evil on their own heads, because na back to sender prayer wey I don already 'pre-pray' for dem. Don't give up the hard work, the genuinely good people love and appreciate you. One love all, Egor Efiok. http://www.osezy..com/2013/05/actress-monalisa-chindas-man-lanre.html

When talking about characteristics of the ideal man for most women, I am used to hearing the usual God-fearing, hardworking, good looking and ‘must respect me’ lines. As a matter of fact, I believed I could predict the top 5 choices on any woman’s list when asked the traits their ideal man would possess. Most women are aware that these are not set characteristics, and there is room for adjustment, I mean if he is short but his wallet is tall then maybe you could consider him or if he’s wallet is short but he is hardworking then there is a chance of him getting into money in future. While having a conversation on the ideal man’s characteristics with a group of young ladies, one of them apologetically said ‘I must marry into money, no buts and no adjustments, if he doesn’t have a proper bank account that can give me the life I want then I will not consider him.’ And she went on to explain the benefits on marrying into money, how she wants a better life than what she was already used to and how her elder sister got married for love which gave her four children with the headache of constantly looking for school fees and her aunty who married for money giving her the best life in the world, traveling from Europe to Asia, visiting her children in America even though she is the 3rd wife of the very prominent and rich man. www.osezy..com/2013/05/ladies-is-status-of-mans-bank-account.html |

In the latest issue of City People, comedian Princess gushes about her love story; from how they met to prepping for the grand wedding day. On what attracted her to Adeshola Jeremiah Well he is a quiet person and if not for the fact that I am into entertainment, I also like my privacy, I don’t like unnecessary show-off. If I go somewhere and they don’t recognize me, that is very okay by me, I just love to be myself. How They Met He saw me when I went for their program in Odunfa Cancus (A Yoruba Theatre Group). I went because of a friend of mine Latifat, who was also trained there. She was in UNILAG and my junior in Theatre Arts. So I went there and that was where he saw me and that was like so many years ago in 2005. Every time I visit my friend, because they are always together, he will see me there, he couldn’t approach me, not because of my status but the fact that anytime I come I will just play with everyone for like 5 to 10 minutes and just zoom off. And I play and smile with everyone but I don’t give that chance that I am easily approachable in order not to draw unnecessary attention. http://www.osezy..com/2013/05/the-beautiful-love-story-of-comedienne.html#more

There are those who are privileged to be born into Royalty...and others who get to join the Royal Families through matrimony....However, we usually forget something, EVERY GIRL is a Princess! A girl is a Princess first, to her Father and then when she grows up, she becomes a Princess of her own If she marries the right man, she becomes Queen of the house and to her children. But our society makes us forget that part...we get labelled other names that sticks, and we abandon our Princess ways and spirit. Let me remind all the girls today YOU ARE A PRINCESS the Royalty was born in you since day one, your father treasured you and still does... Walk with your head high, sit with your back straight, wear the RIGHT clothes, equip your mind with the right knowledge because your King wouldn't want to have you otherwise.. http://www.osezy..com/2013/05/every-girl-is-princess.html |
