QUESTIONABLE ACADEMIC CERTIFICATES AND SHARP PRACTICES IN THE CAREER PROGRESSION OF DR. SANUSI MOMODU JIMAH, RECTOR, AUCHI POLYTECHNIC, AUCHI FROM 1998 TILL DATE.
This is to bring to the notice of the Independence Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) that Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah, Rector, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi is parading academic certificates that are questionable in its entirely coupled with fraudulent conversion and promotion from one level to another as an academic staff in the employ of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, without due process as spelt out in chapter 3, article 3.3 (C) 3.4 (a) 3.7, 3.10 of the Federal Polytechnic Staff manual of 1990.(See Annexure 1)
CORRUPTION, PROCEDURAL BREACH AND MALPRACTICES IN HIS CONVERSION TO THE LECTURER CADRE.
The enabling law clearly stipulates that applicant seeking conversion from the instructor cadre must possess a Masters Degree in his relevant field of study before he/she is deemed qualified and can be invited for interview and subsequent conversion (if appointable), from Principal Instructor to Senior Lecturer cadre.
As at October 1998 when he was interviewed for the post of Senior Lecturer, his highest qualification was a Post Higher National Diploma (PHND) in Urban and Regional planning, yet found not appointable as he scored below the required marks of 50% as stipulated by the enabling laws. Out of fraud, breach of due process and corruption, he was converted to Lecturer 1 via a letter dated 22nd April, 1999 which reads thus.
“Based on the interview of 7th October 1998, the Rector has graciously approved your conversion effective June, 1998” (see annexure 2) also regulation 7.9 of the code of conduct for public officers. 3.2 (a-b) of chapter 3 of the federal polytechnics staff manual of 1990 under promotion procedures
What a monumental fraud and breach of procedure?
This implies that he was converted before the interview. Dr. Jimah was interviewed for the post of a Senior Lecturer on 7th October 1998 but was found not appointable due to his poor performance. He was fraudulently converted to Lecturer 1 in June, 1998, four (4) months before his interview for conversion to a Senior Lecturer without a Masters Degree in the relevant field of study.
This is a monumental and unprecedented fraud.
He was promoted from a Principal Instructor 11 to Principal Instructor 1 in January, 1998, five months to his interview without interview, all these without a Masters Degree in the relevant field, which is a basic prerequisite for any academic staff to be promoted beyond the rank of a Lecturer 1.
He was again swiftly promoted in 2001 from the Unmerited Lecturer 1 to a Senior Lecturer without fulfilling the necessary requirement of having a Masters Degree in the relevant field and spending at least three (3) Years in the position being promoted from, contrary to chapter 3, article 3.3 (c) 3.4 (b) 3.7, 3.10 of the Federal Polytechnic staff manual of 1990.
On 3rd July, 1999 after his fraudulently conversion, he was issued a query by the then Registrar of the Institution, F. I. Ogunbor over his culpability in a bloody cult clash on campus as his response to the query was found Unsatisfactory by panel. This marked the commencement of a disciplinary process. (see annexure 3).
While this disciplinary action was being awaited, he was again promoted in 2005, yet without a Masters Degree in his relevant field.( see annexure 4)
Dr. Jimah did not have a Masters Degree in his relevant field Until 2008, but was promoted severally without recourse to due process.( see annexure 5).
The conversion process which took effect before the interview and all the promotions he had before 2008 amidst his involvement in Cult activities should be rendered null and void
The Masters in Business Administration (MBA) which he obtained in 2003 after he was promoted to the rank of a Senior Lecturer with his highest qualification then as a post-HND, has no place in the academics. (see annexure 6).
Engr. Akanbi Peters Olusola of the chemical engineering department of the institution was demoted recently by the management and council for not having a masters degree in the relevant field when Jimah who is now orchestrating this was promoted fraudulently to Senior Lecturer and Principal Lecturer with a Post HND before eventually obtained a masters in his relevant area in 2008.
Jimah was converted five (5) months before his interview and four(4) months before he obtained his Post Higher National Diploma PHND on 25th September, 1998 since his interview was 7th October, 1998. By implication, he applied to be converted to a senior lecturer with his Higher National Diploma HND since the effective date was June, 1998.
This is a monumental fraud and breach of due process.
Many other academic staff of the Institution have remained in the same position of Lecturer 1, all because they are yet to obtain Masters Degree in their relevant areas. Eg. Mr. Ben Ewemie, Ahmed S. Anavberokhai both of the school of General Studies.
SIMULTANEOUS COLLECTION OF MASTERS DEGREE RESULT AND PHD ADMISSION LETTER ON SAME DATE AND DAY
From his academic records, he collected his Masters Degree notification of result on the 27th March, 2008, which was effective on 26the March, 2008. In the same vein, he was allegedly issued admission letter to undergo a PhD programme on same day and date. this is highly questionable.
Sources from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma Edo State, Indicate that Jimah’s purported PhD certificate was illegally obtained in less than three (3) years from the institution. This is the period when the institution recorded a loss of over one academic session in the entire University at both the postgraduate and Undergraduate levels.
It might interest all and sundry to note that “No Postgraduate” student admitted into the University in 2008 graduated earlier than 2013, due to the crises and other related issues which characterized the institution between 2008 and 2013. The records are verifiable.
Jimah who has been a full time academic staff of Auchi Polytechnic could not have at the same time undergone a full time programme of less than three (3) years since he is not a ghost or omnipresent as records abound that such approval was never sought by him nor granted by the management of Auchi Polytechnic if they were ever obtained legally. These are verifiable facts.
In view of the above, the anti-graft agencies and other stakeholders should as a matter of urgency, carryout a detailed, investigation on these criminal acts of Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah and his accomplices who have been defrauding the education sector through Unmerited promotions, breach of due process, conspiracy and other corrupt practices and bring them to book while correcting the anomalies and absurdities in such conversion promotion, upgrading, appointments etc.
It is an unimaginable national disgrace and disaster to note that a fraudulent and dubious man was appointed Rector by the ministry of education for an academic institution, where the characters of our would – be leaders of tomorrow are supposed to be well moulded.
It is high time these anomalies are corrected to enable our dear country Nigeria, move forward and make a good point among the comity of nations fighting corruption.

FAMILY BACKGROUND:

Comrade Akhigbe Osi John Sunday Omoh was born on the 20th of May 1962 into the Family of Late CHIEF AKHIGBE OGHIENENI KADIRI and Late MRS AKHIGBE LAMI PATTY from IVIOKHILE Village Fugar, AVIANWU Clan in Estako Central Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria.
His father, Late CHIEF AKHIGBE OGHIENENI KADIRI was one of the most respected and admirable Community Leader and a renowned farmer while the mother Late MRS AKHIGBE LAMI PATTY was a well known successful Trader. Comrade John Osi Akhigbe popularly known and called AKPOGU is from a humble background, he is married to his beautiful queen MRS AKHIGBE ABOKHAISOMHI CLEOPATRA and they are blessed with two (2) beautiful Children EMMANUELLA JOHN OSI AKHIGBE and JOHNKING JOHN OSI AKHIGBE.

RELIGIOUS BACKGROUND:
He is a devout Catholic and a member of the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON) and a past President of this youth body, he is also a member of Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria (CCRN). He loves the work of God.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
He had his Primary Education at Obe Primary School, Fugar, his Secondary Education at Saint John’s College Fugar and Tertiary Education at the Prestigious Polytechnic of Ife, from where he graduated as an Accountant. He has attended several Leadership courses, Seminars, Conferences and Workshops in various fields within and outside the Country.

PHILANTHROPIST GESTURES:
He is a well known Philanthropist, himself being an ORPHAN, he is presently taking care of over 18 Orphans in Mathan Orphanage Home in Iraokhor Village in Estako Central local Government Area of Edo State. Owing to his love for humanity, He renovated their houses and equipped it with modern facilities coupled with constant provision for their up keep.
Comrade John Osi Akhigbe popularly known as AKPOGU is a man with a big heart for the widows and the needy in our Society. This he expresses through the payments of hospital bills for the sick, scholarship to indigent students and the Less-privilege in the Society amidst others. He is humble, hardworking, fearless and an advocate of good leadership in our Society.
He is presently training Four Medical students; one in AMBROSE ALI UNIVERSITY EKPOMA and the others in UNIBEN. He is also contributing to the education of over ninety (90) students in various Higher Institutions in Nigeria.

PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVISM:
Comrade Akhigbe who is Human Right Activist, a member of various human right groups among whom are: CAMPAIGN FOR DEMOCRACY (CD), AMNESTY INTERNANTIONAL, SOUTH-SOUTH COORDINATOR OF QUALITY LEADERSHIP ORGANIZATION, EDO STATE COORDINATOR OF SOUTH-SOUTH YOUTH LEADERS FORUM.

He fought for democracy in this country, putting his life on the line several times. He was arrested severally and was detained without trial during the regime of IBB and ABACHA in Lagos and Ile-Ife.


LIFE/WORK EXPERIENCE:
He started life in Lagos then went on to kano. He then left kano for Kaduna due to MATASINI riot and left KADUNA for LAGOS when he could not secure admission into NIGERIA DEFENCE ACADEMY (NDA).
On Arrival in Lagos, as a focused and hard-working young man joined the HAUSA boys to offload (goods) for some traders. He started his Chemical Business in 1985. He rented his first shop with N70 that grown to be a big employer of Labour. He became one of the big names in Chemical business in Nigeria. He is the Pioneer General Secretary of OJOTA CHEMICAL DEALERS UNION and the pioneer PRESIDENT of ALMANGAMATED CHEMICAL DEALERS UNION OF NIGERIA.

HE is a business man, He is the Chairman of Akhigbe Osi Industries Limited, Akhis Oil and Gas Limited and Patrajos Global Company Limited, with a subsidiary in car hire services (CITY TRAVELS AND TOURS) aka CITY CARS.

He was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Protocol matters to the Governor in 2008 by the Comrade Governor, a position he held for 4 years. He was further elevated owing to his dedication and responsiveness to duties as the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ON PROTOCOL MATTERS to Governor Adams Aliu Oshiomhole.

He has served in various committees set by the State Government and he discharged his responsibility very well to the admiration of others.

Kukuruku Youth Renaissance Network presented him a certificate of recognition and commendation as the most distinguished politician in Nigeria on 30th December, 2014.

National Etsako Students’Union, presented him with an award of Excellent leadership in recognition of his exceptional contribution to the human development and youth empowerment on june 3rd, 2013.

Etsako Students’Union, UBTH presented him with an award of Ambassador of Goodness in Recognition of his contribution to building human capacity in developing education and peace from the 2015/2016 exco.

National Association of Edo State Students, Obafemi Awolowo Chapter presented him award of Outstanding contribution in recognition of his selfless service and loyalty beyond call of duty for the development of the youths in Edo State on March 8th 2010.

Final year Medical (Dental) Students, UNIBEN presented him with an award of Excellence in recognition of outstanding leadership through selfless service and youth advocacy on 4th November 2011.

Catholic Youth organization of Nigeria, St. Agnes Catholic Church, Maryland, Lagos presented him with a meritorious award recognizing his outstanding contribution and commitment towards the growth of the organization on December 9th 2012.

Catholic Youth organization of Nigeria, St. Agnes Catholic Church, Maryland, Lagos awarded him certificate of honour to certify that he served diligently without hesitation as president 1988/1999 tenure issued on 26th August 2001.

Board of Lectors, St Paul Catholic church, Airport road Benin City, Catholic Archdiocese of Benin awarded him a certificate of Merit to certify he was a distinguished patron of Board of Lectors at the Catholic Church on the 24th of july, 2016.

Catholic Youth organization of Nigeria, St Paul Catholic church benin city, Edo State awarded him with a certificate of honour as a Patron in Recognition of his immense support towards the organization on june 24th, 2016.

DEFRAUDING OF AUCHI POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS BY THE ACTING RECTOR, DR. SANUSI MOMODU JIMAH

This is to once again bring to your notice and also as a reminder of the financial crimes committed by Dr. Sanusi Jimah, Acting Rector, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, which we earlier reported to you vide a petitions and protest we staged at the ministry of education late last year.

STUDENTS IDENTITY CARDS FOR THE 2016/2017 ACADEMIC SESSION
During the 2016/2017 academic session while Comrade Samson Okoduwa held sway as the Students’ Union Government President (SUG) of the institution, students were made to pay the sum of N1,500:00 (One thousand five hundred naira each for them to be issued their identify cards for the session.
The over 35,000, thirty five thousands students of the institution paid for the identify cards which amounts to the sum of N52,000,000:00 (Fifty two million naira only for the regular students.
This same fraud and deprivation was equally replicated by him in the evening programme as none of the students was ever issued any identify card by the management of the institution.
Prior to the second semester examination, the Students’ Union Executives had a meeting with the Acting Rector to prevail on him to please issue their identity cards to them, having paid for it since the beginning of the session.
This plea was met with stiff resistance as he embezzled the money at the expense of the students. What a monumental fraud?
The frown given on this monumental fraud by the Students Union Government President, Comrade Samson Okoduwa and his Executive members earned us expulsion letters by the institution as directed by the Acting Rector.

SHORTCHANGING AND SURCHARGING POST UTME CANDIDATES INSPITE OF THE HONOURABLE MINISTER’S WARNINGS

The Honourable Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, who gave a stern warning to all Tertiary Institution to desist from the conduct of Post UTME screening in 2017, had his instructions and warnings floated by the belligerent Acting Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah as he went ahead to conduct the exercise where he also swindled the applicants / candidates.
After issuing a circular and time table prior to the exercise, candidates were instructed to pay the sum of N2,000:00 (Two thousand Naira), each to designated banks, he went behind and mandated these banks not to collect less than N4,500:00 (four thousand five hundred naira) each from them.
What a pious fraud and an act unbecoming of a Chief Executive Officer.
When this fraud was reported via petitions by the students union Government (SUG), to the relevant agencies, including the ministry of Education, the Acting Rector immediately put a notice on the institution’s website, directing the candidates he swindled to excess the refund of excess charges. What a pious fraud? (see attached).

SALES OF ADMISSION FORMS TO APPLICANTS AND REFUSAL TO CLEAR THEM AFTER ADMISSION

It is clearly on record that during the 2017/2018 admission exercise, Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah defrauded thousands of applicants by refusing to clear them after he had admitted them. His major intention was to sell the admission forms to them, swindle them of their hard-earned money (s), admit and send them back home.

Over three(3) academic departments of the institution have lost accreditation due to his ineptitude and clueless. Inspite of this accreditation and other man-made challenges, he went ahead to sell admission forms to thousands of innocent and unsuspecting applicants and subsequently refused to clear them for registration after admitting them. Why did he to sell admissions , screen and admit them and later deny/deprive them of clearance and registration? This is indeed a monumental fraud. What an evil way of defrauding innocent and unsuspecting children?
All these should be thoroughly investigated by the relevant agencies with a view to ensuring that he is brought to book.


DEFRAUDING THE NATIONAL DIPLOMA GRADUANDS OF 2015/2016 SESSION

As has been the practice in the polytechnic system of education, National Diploma graduates must undergo a compulsory one(1) year Industrial Training (IT) before they are eligible to apply for admission into the Higher National Diploma(HND) Programme.
Due to strike actions and other related issues which rendered the institutions’ academic calendar unstable and interrupted severally, the 2015/2016 academic calendar spilled over to early January, 2017. They were however allowed to purchase the admission forms for the 2017/2018 academic session into the HND progrmme, even though they didn’t spend up to a year in carrying out the compulsory Industrial Training (IT).
There were screened thoroughly and admitted into the HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) programme but were immediately refused clearance and screening on the flimsy alibi that they did not complete their compulsory one(1) year Industrial Training(IT). They were actually denied and deprived of clearance and registration after they have been duly admitted.
It might interest all and sundry, particularly the anti-graft agencies to note that over three thousand(3,000) applicants were defrauded in this show of shame, with each purchasing the form at the rate of #14,850;00 (fourteen thousand eight hundred and fifty naira). What a pious fraud?

The same Acting Rector, Dr. Sanusi Jimah whom we learnt recently that he simultaneously collected his Masters Degree notification of result and PhD admission letter same day and date. From a very reliable source in Ambrose Alli University, he collected his Masters Degree notification of result on the 28th of March, 2008. In the same vein, he was allegedly issued admission letter to under a PhD programme on same day and date being 27th March, 2008.
This is highly questionable in its entirety.

FRAUDULENT WITHDRAWAL OF MONEY FROM THE STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENTS (SUG) BANK ACCOUNT

Without any change of signatory in the students account NO: 1019985885 with account name “ Student Union Government Account Auchi Poly with the United Bank for Africa (UBA), The acting Rector connived and conspired with one Emmanuel Ogbiti and withdrew the sum of #280,000:00 (Two hundred and eighty one thousand naira), from the Students Unions account without the consent, and mandate of those who are signatories to the account on the 3rd of January, 2017 at 02:04pm from the Auchi branch of UBA.
Emmanuel Ogbiti is totally unknown to me as he has never been a signatory to the account. This should also be investigated by the anti-graft agencies, especially the ICPC and the EFCC as only Samson Okoduwa, Obukovwho Favour and one other are still the valid signatories to the account but now being exposed and allowed access by UBA to criminals. This is very unbecoming of a new generation Bank.

CONCLUDED PLANS BY DR. SANUSI MOMODU JIMAH TO DEMOTE AND REDEPLOY STAFF USING THE GOVERNING COUNCIL AS ROBOTS: AN ABSURDITY AND PERSONAL VENDETTA.

The concept of management as a going concern entity is not being and has never been adhered to by the “supposed” Acting Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah as he is threatening fire and brimstone to upturn decisions already taken and approved/ratified by previous Councils on behalf of the Hon. Minister in the absence of council.
Apart from the fact that he is on a personal vendetta, his ineptitude and lack of experience in the management of both human and material resources, is also very much responsible for his cluelessness and autocratic style of leadership.

It is indeed an aberration and absurdity for an illegally appointed Acting Rector over two (2) sitting Deputy Rectors, who was neither a Dean, Director nor a Departmental Head, to cajole council into upturning decisions already taken, approved/ ratified by previous councils, or the Expanded Management Committee(EMC) in the absence of council, on behalf of the Honourable Minister.

LOPSIDEDNESS AND MALPRACTICES IN DR. SANUSI JIMAH’S CONVERSION FROM A PRINCIPAL INSTRUCTOR TO LECTURER 1

It is pertinent and quite imperative to note that the same Jimah Sanusi Momodu, who is now faulting the process or procedures through which some staff were either converted, upgraded, promoted and employed is also a major beneficiary of breach or lack of due process.
Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah in 1999, applied to be converted from the rank of a principal instructor to senior Lecturer, knowing fully well that the law stipulates that applicants must possess a masters degree before he/she deemed qualified and can be invited to for interview and subsequent conversion from Principal Instructor to Senior Lecturer. His highest qualification as at that time was a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in urban and Regional Planning, which he obtained from Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi.
He later obtained a Masters Degree in 2008, Nine (9) years later and that was when he was qualified for conversion. He was mistakenly invited for the interview but failed to score at least fifty (50) marks which is the minimum required score for qualified applicants to be converted from a principal instructor to Senior Lecturer.
Abinitio, Jimah was not qualified/eligible to be invited for the interview, yet failed even though he was mistakenly invited

HIS EVENTUAL CONVERSION VIA THE BACKDOOR
Surprisingly, Jimah succeeded in financially inducing the panel into bending the rules as they changed the goal post just to ensure that he was converted either through hook or crook. His application for conversion to senior Lecturer from Principal Instructor and the interview he failed coupled with his ineligibility abinitio, were jettisoned, discarded and undermined by the panel as he was illegally converted from Principal Instructor to Lecturer I, even though he never applied for such or qualified /interviewed for such.
This goes to show that he was fraudulently converted in a lopsided and absurd manner as due process was not followed.

JIMAH SHOULD LEAD BY EXAMPLE AND DEMOTE HIMSELF FIRST OVER THE LOPESIDEDNESS AND FLAWS IN HIS 1999 CONVERSION PROCESS.

If his administration and his robots (council) can question the integrity and processes already carried out and approved by previous councils or previous Hon. Ministers of Education, then his conversion process of 1999 should be rendered null and void. The implication and penalty for such malpractice, corruption and absurdity is that he should be demoted from Chief Lecturer to a Principal Lecturer as what is good for the goose is also good for the gander.

The ministry of Education, the Ant-graft agencies and other stakeholders should as a matter of urgency, beam searchlights on this rape of due process. He therefore has no moral justification to recommend staff for demotion and or redeployment from classroom on grounds of alleged or perceived breach of due process in their conversion, upgrading, employment and promotion when he is a product of breach of due process both in his conversion to Lecturer cadre and his appointment as Acting Rector.
Staff may not hesitate to seek legal redress courts of competent jurisdiction which may have an adverse effect on the institution.

HIS CULPABILITY OVER CULT RELATED ACTIVITIES: 3RD JULY, 1999.

He was issued a query by the then Registrar of Institution, F.I. Ogunbor on grounds of his involvement in cult related activities on campus during the 3rd July, 1999 cult clash as he was found culpable. His response to the query was found unsatisfactory by the panel.
Seven (7) years later, he requested for clearance in writing via a letter dated 22nd June 2006. Within this period he was promoted twice, 2001 and 2005 respectively.

This is an absurdity in the civil service as his culpability which amounts to gross misconduct, being a criminal offence was supposed to be processed through the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee (SSDC) for onward transmission to the Governing Council to either dismiss or terminate his appointment. The 2001 and 2005 promotions are therefore questionable and should be revisited.

SIMULTANEOUS COLLECTION OF MASTERS DEGREE AND PhD ADMISSION LETTER ON SAME DAY AND DATE.

He collected his Masters Degree notification of result on the 27th March, 2008, which was effective on 26th March, 2008. In the same vein, he was allegedly issued admission letter to undergo a PhD programme on same day and date being 27th March, 2008. This is highly questionable.

QUESTIONABLE PhD CERTIFICATE
From a very reliable source in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Jimah allegedly obtained his PhD certificate in less than three years from the institution, this period recorded a loss of over one session in the entire University, both at the undergraduate and post graduate levels.
It might interest all and sundry to note that no post graduate students admitted in 2008 graduated earlier than 2013 due to the crisis and other related issues which bedeviled the institution between 2008 and 2013. The records are very verifiable
Assuming he did this programme on full time basis while he was also a full time academic staff of Auchi Polytechnic, can we conclude that he was ubiquitous and omnipresent? It is pertinent also to note that he never wrote to inform or seek approval for the programme from management under any guise. By implication the programme was never approved and therefore not recognized if he actually obtained the certificate.
These are verifiable from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State. The days of impunities are over as we watch the Council, the Ministry of Education and the Anti-graft agencies to unravel this.

A SECRET PLOT BY AUCHI POLYTECHNIC ACTING RECTOR, DR. SANUSI MOMODU JIMAH TO BRIBE THE VISITATION PANEL.

Following the avalanche and Unprecedented looting of public funds, in Auchi Polytechnic by the Acting Rector, Dr Sanusi Momodu Jimah since he assumed office on 20th March, 2017, which was equally greeted with series of objective, unbiased and regular petitions to the ministry of Education, ICPC, EFCC, the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) and other relevant agencies, the Honourable Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, has constituted and inaugurated a visitation panel to beam their searchlight on the allegations and other sundry issues raised therein by the petitioners against the management of the institution.

A PLOT TO INTIMIDATE AND PREVENT STAFF AND OTHERS FROM SUBMITTING MEMORANDA.

The Acting Rector, Dr Sanusi Momodu Jimah has concluded plans to use his thugs and the polytechnic security to prevent and intimidate any perceived or suspected petitioner from having access into the administrative building or anywhere close to the panel members.
According to one of our informants who is also a management staff, the Acting Rector has earmarked the sum of N125,000,000(one hundred and twenty five million naira to buy the visitation panel through the Deputy Director (Tertiary Education), Mr. Awa Arua as the report gets swept under the carpet.

This he, Acting Rector has boasted about severally since 27th December, 2017.

SOME OF THE DARK SPOTS TO BEAM SEARCHLIGHTS
a. The embezzlement of over #52,000,000 (FIFTY-TWO MILLION NAIRA), Students Identity card money by the Acting Rector during the 2016/2017 academic session. None of the students during that session, rather, the Students’ Union Government(SUG) president, Comrade Samson Okoduwa and some of his executive members who frowned at the fraud and deprivation were hastily and unlawfully expelled.

b. The shortchanging of applicants seeking admission into the institution as he issued a circular and timetable prior to the exercise, instructing them to pay the sum of #2,000 (Two thousand Naira), each to designated banks, but mandated same banks to collect #4,500 (Four Thousand five Hundred Naira), from each applicants.

c. Using the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development Auchi Polytechnic, as a Conduit Pipe to siphone monies in the purchase of livestocks, feeds, machines, Teaching aids etc, which were never bought or procured.

d. Total violation of the Public Procurement Act.

AUCHI POLYTECHNIC VERSUS UNIBEN IN TERMS OF CORRUPTION

There is actually no gainsaying the fact that the monumental fraud and other financial crimes being perpetrated in Auchi Polytechnic since 20th March, 2017, remains Unbeatable by any MDA as the University of Benin is still operating at a very nascent level when compared to what obtains in Auchi Polytechnic Under Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah (The Tyrant).

THE PANACEA

The visitation panel, having been briefed by the minister of Education and are set to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that every culprit’s head is well positioned on the Hang man’s noose, must be very weary of the Deputy Director (Tertiary Education) in the Ministry, Mr. Awa Arua as he is a regular visitor to Dr. Sanusi Jimah’s personal house in Auchi, Edo State. He is also an accomplice.
The panel should be open, accommodative and receptive to all those coming to submit memoranda.

The Acting Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah who used the Union leaders to stimulate and simulate crises in the institution under the guise of CONTISS 15 migration, 13th month salary, remittance of outstanding check-off dues and other unrealistic demands, which eventually paved way for his coming in through the back door is at it again.

Engr. Jafaru Buraimoh’s meeting with Senior Staff and other principal officers at the New Auditorium over demigration and palliatives to cushion its effects.
The then Acting Rector, Engr. Jafaru Buraimah on December 2016, during a meeting at the new Auditorium, explained to staff that CONTISS 15 was no longer sustainable, due to its overwhelming financial burden on the institution’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR)since it was yet to be cashbacked by the federal government.

All his explanations, sermons, preachings, appeals in a diplomatic and democratic manner, were greeted with different convincing research by different speakers, like Mr. Godwin Ikhide, SSANIP Chairman, Mr. Abdulganiyu Braimah, ASUP General Secretary, Comrade Uloko Abdul and others, we were told therein that Auchi Polytechnic generates the highest IGR which according to AG Buraimah, ASUP Secretary is N500 billion annually .
Other speakers were very concerned about the untold hardship and pauperization, which the demigration would plunge staff and their families, especially in this period of economic recession and hyper-inflation.

THE APPLIED PALLIATIVE MEASURE BY ENGR. JAFARU BURAIMOH, PENDING THE DEFRAYMENT OF THE DEBT OWED TO UNIONS,

The then management in a bid to cushion the effect of the demigration and commence monthly defrayment of the debt, decided that loans and other deductions from staff monthly salaries, be put on hold pending the full defrayment of the debt. This he (Buraimoh) commenced immediately, and that has kept us smiling since January, 2017.
Staff oblivious of the agenda and the ulterior motive behind the Unions agitations, declined Engr. Jafaru Buraimoh’s olive branch and embarked on an indefinite strike action, insisting on no demigration while also demanding for the immediate and full payment of the debt owed to them by management.

EVENTUAL SUSPENSION OF STRIKE BY UNIONS FOLLOWING DR. SANUSI JIMAH’S APPOINTMENT AS ACTING RECTOR.

The two (2) months old strike action was eventually suspended by Unions immediately after a meeting with the new Ag Rector at the same Auditorium. Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah appealed like a lamb, messiah, gentleman and democratic as he sued for peace and appealed to all staff to as a matter of urgency, have a rethink as good patriots and suspend the strike.
He therein promised to migrate staff, commence the monthly defrayment of the debt owed to Unions and to pay the difference in January, 2017 salary which was the crux of the industrial action.

UNION LEADERS SUDDENLY TURNED ROBOTS

No sooner had the Acting Rector arrived, our one time comrades speedily went into their shells, accepting appointments into juicy positions as they suddenly became insensitive to the yearnings and plights of staff whose backs they rode on.
Sudden Plan and Clamour to Commence Deduction of Loans and others from Staff Monthly Salaries effective January, 2018.

The Union leaders have held another meeting with the Acting Rector yesterday, 15th December, 2017 where they have concluded and perfected plans to further impoverish and pauperize staff through the commencement of loans deductions and others.
The palliative measure put in place by Engr. Jafaru Buraimoh is being removed by Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah and his robots, after failing to migrate staff, defray the debt owed to Unions etc.

This is a clear pointer to the fact that the Acting Rector, Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah actually connived with the Union Leaders to send Engr. Jafaru Buraimoh away in order for him to have access to the polytechnic treasury. May Engr. Jafaru Buraimoh forgive us of all the atrocities we were used to commit against him.

REPORT OF CORRUPTION AGAINST DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF
POLYTECHNIC (MRS. AWA ARUA)

We refer to the above subject matter and wish to report to the
permanent secretary of the activities of Mrs. Awa Arua in regards to the
vacant position of Rectorship of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi.
I can authoritatively say that Dr. Sanusi Jimah boasts to friends and
well wishers that Mrs. Awa Arua, Deputy Director Tertiary, is a bossom
friend and she is the one maneuvering the process of a kangaroo interview
in the ministry. According to him he has paid his dues to her in multiples of
millions of naira, which he handed over to her in cash and awards of
contracts to her through agents fronting for her under different company
names.

He clearly stated to them that whichever decision the ministry would reach
in terms of the stage-managed interview, Mrs. Awa Arua would be
consulted and she will give him/her support because she is in his payroll.
It is therefore an open secret the reason why Mrs. Awa Arua came to
the institution on the 19 th of October, 2017 to participate in an interview that
is devoid of due process when another interview has been conducted on
July 13 th , 2016 in which the result is being awaited.
For the avoidance of doubt, if this letter is not given its due
consideration, we will be left with no other option than to go to court to
embarrass the entire ministry of education, the presidency and its staff. We
have been patient enough and our patient is running out fast.

Overwhelming evidence equally abound that even though the
representative of the academic board of Auchi polytechnic, Auchi was
never elected by the academic board, Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah, the
council chairman, and the Deputy Director, Tertiary, Education, Mrs. Awa
Arua conducted a kangaroo and curious interview where two (2) insiders,
Dr. Shaibu Alasa and Dr. V.A Dibua were hand-picked to represent Miss.
Awa Arua and not the Academic Board.
This is a glaring revelation and an urgent call on the ministry to overhaul its
house.

A former Students' Union Government President of Auchi Polytechnic has today for the first time since graduation and handing over his office in 2013, spoken to pressmen in Benin City of his opinions concerning the present situation rocking the students Union versus Management of the polytechnic.

Press: May we meet you sir?

Am Comr Amedu Matthew popularly known as A. M Express, a former Student Union Government President of Auchi polytechnic, I served in 2012/13 academic session under the Dr. Philip Idogho Led Administration.

Press : On 9th October 2017 , the Students of Auchi Polytechnic went on a protest that there must be SUG elections before the commencement of the second semester examination. What is your take on that action by the students?

Com Amedu :
Well, am not against the peaceful protest organised be the students and her Union against the action of the management, we are living in a Democratic society where everyone has the right to air their views. When I saw the peaceful protest photos and videos trending online on how the military men, police men, vigilantes and hunters assaulted, intimidated, harassed and infringed the students of their right to peaceful demonstration without infringing on the freedom of others, I immediately made calls to rescue the situation before casualties are recorded.


Though such protest ought to have come long before that day of examination but the students got an information that the Acting Rector is proposing a caretaker committee to take over from the erstwhile SUG without any cause. Thereby handpicking one of his favorite student as the head. The students see this as a stooge to be manipulated against the them soon and I also condemn such in totality.


Press : Sir, from the interview conducted so far, the PRO of the polytechnic, Mr Oshiobugie told news men that the SUG was proscribed. Under what condition can a Union be proscribed ? And if such is done, what happens thereafter?

Comr. Amedu :
The students Union Government can only be proscribed under these conditions:
1. If there is violence among its members resulting to destruction of properties. Which didn't occur.

2. If violence broke out during the conduct of a successive election to fill vacancies in the Union. This never happened because the election was never thought of by the Ag Rector Dr. Sanusi Jimah whom the students reported to have met on several occasions to ensure the election holds.

3. If there is a high level of misappropriation of funds by at least 2/3 members of the executive Council. No such thing happened.

4. If the Students Union Government engage in a destructive protest either within or outside the Polytechnic environment. The protest by the union was a peaceful one because I got videos online, nothing was destroyed despite the molestation on the instruction of the Ag Rector.

Now to your next question on, what happens next if the union is proscribed?


Com Amedu :
1. First and foremost, every member of the Union will evaluate their offices and official residents but the entire Union members are still in their respective official residents and operating their offices.

2. Every member of the proscribed Union will have no such power to operate under the proscribed office, yet the management still invite them to meeting under the capacity of their offices to represent the students.

3. All memo to them should be addressed with their names not the proscribed office but the memo I saw online posted by the SUG President carries their respective offices.

4. They can't hold any official meeting on behalf of the students but they have attended several meetings with the management on behalf of the students after the said prescription.

5. All Union properties, such as Vehicles, ID cards, etc. must be withdrawn, but the SUG executive President, Senate President and Chief Judge of the Union still drive the vehicles around and still possess the SUG Identity Cards.

From the forgoing, it's very clear that there must be an undertone to the crisis between the Students Union Government and the Management of Auchi Polytechnic.

What is the relationship between the SUG president's claims that the Acting Rector Dr Sanusi Jimah is using vigilantes and Hunters to harass students and the death of Lauretta Uloko who was killed by by a vigilante members 24 hrs after graduation?

Com Amedu:
Well it's so pathetic that the Uloko family of Etsako Central local government would loose such a bright future girl to an illiterate vigilante. The acting Rector has made the Polytechnic an animal farm and as such the entire students from in depth investigation carried out suffer treat, molestation and harassment from vigilantes and Hunters hired by the Acting Rector.

Today a young promising lady was killed and by the grace of God, the killers of Laurentta will not go Unpunished.

Press : Sir, The Management of Auchi Polytechnic has announced the conduct of the SUG election by 4th Nov., 2017 immediately after the Second Semester examination. Can we get your opinion on that?

Comr Amedu :
Well it is a good one that they finally bow to pressure because assuming the Union kept absolute mute, the Ag Rector would have handpicked a stooge for the students. Now to your question, I would say it's is just like "digging your nose to your mouth".

It's totally wrong to conduct an SUG election after a second semester examination. A lot of students will immediately travel home to join their parents which is not out of place for such students because the school is off session.

Today November 5th, 2017 the Students residing in the hostel complex were evacuated to return home and the same management is proposing election for 11th November 2017. What an irony, students sent home on 5th Nov and SUG election is 11th Nov 2017. Secondly, which identity card do they want to use for accreditation before the students would vote? Because from all indication the students are yet to be issued identity card since first semester. This will further worsen issues as hoodlums can be used to hijack the process since there are no ID cards. No transparency.

Press: Series of letters has written to President Muhammad Buhari on this issue and other issues rocking the instruction since last year, what advice do you have on this?

I am a strong fan of President Buhari and I believe so much on his "no nonsense policy" in eradicating corruption in Nigeria. I want to use this medium to appeal to Mr President to please look into the issue of Auchi polytechnic and appoint a substantive Rector for the Polytechnic. An interview was conducted in July 2016 and the competent committee has long submitted their report on that. Sir please I want you to revisit the report of the committee that sat July 2016 and save Auchi polytechnic from sinking.

AUCHI POLYTECHNIC, AUCHI SITTING ON A KEG OF GUNPOWDER – A CURIOUS INTERVIEW

INTRODUCTION
Following the expiration of Dr. (Mrs.) P.O. Idogho’s tenure in 2015 as the Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo Sate, an advertisement was placed in Daily Trust of November, 18th 2015 (Photocopy attached) a machinery was set of in motion to ensure that all process were religiously followed in the appointment of a Substantive Rector. These processes include the constitution of a search team, screening committee, conduct of an interview for duly screened candidates. This is exactly what obtains in all Federal Polytechnics.
When screening was done and qualified candidates were shortlisted, interview was eagerly being awaited when suddenly the shortlisted candidates were informed that a high powered panel of interviewers comprising Nigerians of proven integrity had been set up. This comprises of:

Director, Tertiary Education, FME – Member
Rep. Federal Character Commission – Member
Two (2) Serving Rectors – Member
Mr. Vincent Okhani, Elected Representative of Academic Board Member, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi
Barr. Austin Ainabor, Elected Representative of Academic Board Member, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi
Dr. (Mrs.) M.I. Aashikpelokhai, Registrar, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi – Secretary.
These eminent men and women eventually conducted an interview on 13th July, 2016 with every staff of the polytechnic hoping that within three months, at most, a Substantive Rector would be announced for the institution, the way it was done for Federal Polytechnics at Offa, Kwara State, Ekowe in Bayelsa State and Kazaure in Jigawa State. May we point out here that a total of Twenty-Eight (28) applicants were interviewed on that day, including a Lecturer III who had not even spent up to five (5) years in the system. This we learnt was to prevent any other room for frivolous petition again. The outcome of this interview is still being awaited till now.

To the amazement of all and sundry, another advertisement for the vacant position of Rector came out again in the Guardian Newspaper of Friday, August, 25, 2017 when the result of a properly organized interview is still being awaited. This is indeed an aberration, rape of justice, due process and a devastating slap on the anti-corruption crusade of this present administration.

A CURIOUS INTERVIEW
The Governing Council of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi under the chairmanship of Chief Michael O. Oloyo surreptitiously organized another curious interview wherein qualified candidates like Mr. Obomeghie Adamu Abdulkareem, Engr. Lemmy Ogie-Aitsebokhai and many others were unlawfully not communicated of the shortlist and interview (exclusion).
This was done in order to pave way for their anointed candidate, Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah, The Acting Rector, to fully have his way.

REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ACADEMIC BOARD
Against all known procedures and what is well spelt out in the enabling laws for the appointment of Vice Chancellors, Provosts and Rectors, the Acting Rector in collaboration with the Governing Council had picked two (2) Chief Lecturers, Mr. V.A. Dibua and Dr. Shaibu Alasa to Represent the Academic Board in the curious interview.
This is an aberration and breach of procedures as the representatives of the Academic Board are obtained by election, wherein every Academic Board members are eligible to contest keenly or have the franchise to vote.
Apart from the fact they were not duly elected and therefore did not represent the interest of the Academic Board, they are also facing criminal charges wherein the court had ordered their interdiction since 2016. (see attached charge sheet).
Against this backdrop, there was no representative of the Academic Board in the surreptitious curious interview conducted by Chief Michael O. Oloyo and his cohorts.

TOTAL ABSENCE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF RELEVANT AGENCIES IN THE CURIOUS INTERVIEW
The enabling laws for the appointment of Vice Chancellors, Rectors and Provosts which the Federal Academic Institutions like Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi has always adhered strictly to, was again undermined by the Governing Council of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, the Acting Rector, and the Acting Registrar during the surreptitious curious interview, Purportedly conducted on the 19th of October, 2017 at the Polytechnic Boardroom amidst tight security, was devoid of the representatives of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and the Federal Character Commission.
This is very contrary to all known procedures in line with the enabling laws.

BARR. G.O. EBOREIME AND SIR. O.F. EBOREIME
The Latter is an ex- Rector of Auchi polytechnic while the former is the present Ag. Registrar of the same institution.
Barr. G.O. Eboreime is less than a month old as the Ag. Registrar as he was brought in through the back door to do their bidding after clandestinely forcing the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) M.I. Aashikpelokhai to proceed on a three (3) months compulsory leave in order to perpetuate their evil machinations.
This whole drama was orchestrated by the Acting Rector and the Chairman Governing Council, ably being supervised by Chief Tony Momoh, who allegedly signed a bail bond and surety to get the Governing Council Chairman from prison at Alagbon in Lagos when Chief Michael Olarenwaju Oloyo allegedly killed three (3) young men at his hometown, Imogah in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria.
There is absolutely no gainsaying the fact that Chief Oloyo is reciprocating a kind gesture by doing Chief Tony Momoh’s bidding by undermining all extant Laws and due process.
Sir, O.F. Oboreime an ex-Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi is a brother to the “stooge” the Acting Registrar, Barr. G.O. Eboreime(secretary to council). The enabling laws stipulates that two (2) past Rectors from other Polytechnics shall (must) be members of the panel and not a past Rector from the same institution, even if a past Rector was to be invited as an observer, why not the immediate past Rector, Dr. (Mrs.) P.O. Idogho or Prof. A.K. Yesufu?
Why having two (2) brothers in the same panel which also negates the dictates of the enabling laws.

FINANCIAL EMBARRASSMENT
That the Acting Rector, Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah is currently having issues that borders on the violation of the public Procurement Act of 2007 and his referral to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is no longer news.
Upon the completion of the Bureau of Public Procurement’s (BPP) investigation into his embezzlement of Public Funds, non-adherence and compliance to circulars from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) obstruction of the Bureau’s investigation process, where he forcefully confiscated letters meant for individual procurement officers, the Bureau slammed its hammer on him in line with the relevant provisions of the PPA, 2007, which empowers the Bureau to refer such cases to the anti-graft agencies, yet the Governing Council is pretending to be oblivious of such financial crimes and criminality as perpetrated by their anointed candidate, Dr. Sanusi Momodu Jimah.
Not minding this curious stance of the Governing Council especially Chief Michael O. Oloyo who is judiciously acting out Chief Tony Momoh’s script and while believing in the dictum that “it is better to jaw jaw than war war”, the entire staffers’ bowel of patience is being blown beyond proportion, hence our bringing these absurdities to your notice with the hope that you could look into them dispassionately and prevent Auchi Polytechnic from boiling over.


PRAYERS
As we do not want to be initiated by our Governing Council actions or inactions in the institution into the notorious cult of the riotous who believe that only violence can be used to achieve desired aims, we therefore pray that:
The Kangaroo (surreptitious) and curious interview organized by Chief Micheal O. Oloyo and his “stooge” in Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi on the 19th of October, 2017 for the appointment of Rector be disregarded as it is an insult and total shame to both humanity and the anti-corruption crusade of this present administration.
The Ministry of Education, NBTE and should please not drag staff up to a point of resorting to self-help of either broadcasting this to the whole world through the Human Rights Radio (Brekete) or Organize a Press Conference in all the Television and Radio Stations.
The apartheid regimes are over.
