This question is childish. The president controls the party and decides who gets the party ticket. Someone who is not on the ballot cannot be voted for by the electorates. The new law does not allow moving to another party at this time. If Tinubu is neutral Wike cannot withstand Fubara in Rivers State.

Politics is a game of interest backed by numbers not emotions. Why on earth would Fubara start a fight when he knows he doesn’t control the assembly? If he wants to fight he should at least wait until he has the numbers to block any impeachment from the assembly. Do you think the Governors in Lagos are stupid ? They know who controls the assembly or did you not see what happened recently in the Lagos assembly? We are in a democracy and must follow the rules in a democracy! He was saved through a political solution that was brokered by the President. Wike only backed down out of respect to the president. I still repeat it that Senator Basiru had the backing of the presidency before coming out to make such statements. Wike had better borrow some sense now and mend fences with Fubara. He should know by now that the presidency is cutting his wings gradually and unfortunately he's yet to know this. You cant fight the govt and win, this is not Jonathan era especially when you know they can deploy EFCC investigators to beam a searchlight on your 8 years as governor of Rivers State. You are the type that spend public funds anyhow believing nothing will happen. Unfortunately Wike is not a coward like you and Tinubu is not stupid. Wike as a governor fought alone against the Federal government on so many issues and won. The only Governor that has ever done that is Tinubu who coincidentally is now the President. Tinubu knows the capacity of Wike. Wike is grounded. He rose from the Local government to where he is now. He defeated a siting governor to emerge. He survived the onslaught of Amaechi using Federal might. He was able to deliver the Presidency to Tinubu and produce his successor. That is not a small feat in a state like Rivers. No Rivers Governor since Odili was able to produce a successor. Not Odili, Not Amaechi. In fact As a governor Amaechi could not give buhari 25%. Wike will stand strong and fight. This is a battle for 2031. His future opponents are trying to Allign with Fubara to weaken him against 2031. They will learn the hard way

Tinubu is not stupid. Asides his utility value Wike is more relevant than most of the APC governors in the south/east. Most of the so called APC governors in the south/east cannot even deliver their states to Tinubu and they are governors. In fact they cannot even give Tinubu 25%. Peter Obi will win in all South east and majority of the South South state except Akwaibom and maybe Bayelsa. Even the so called national secretary cannot deliver Osun state to Tinubu. Tinubu will still loose Osun again.

As at 2015 when APC was formed that party was a taboo in the South South and South East.

It was seen as a Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba party.

The Jonathan sentiment made Rivers and the entire SS made the region 95 percent PDP.

There was nothing Amaechi could have done to defeat Wike, under the party APC.

Owing to the hatred the SS had for Amaechi, Buhari and APC, Even a goat under PDP could have defeated Amaechi between 2015 and 2022.

If Patience and Goodluck had not pushed Amaechi out of PDP and Amaechi remained in PDP, we all know there would be no Nyesom Wike today.
They started by bring Felix Obuah to illegally replace GU Ake so that Wike could take over the PDP structure.
Contrary to popular belief, GEJ really did Amaechi dirty, and that's why he had to join to coalition to remove Jonathan.

Amaechi does not have any vote to bring to the table. Peter Obi and Atiku combined brings over 13 million votes. It’s now obvious that Shetimma will be dropped for 2027. I suspected that there was an issue between them when Zulum was at the forefront of those fighting the Tax bill. Zulum is Shettima’s boy so one would’ve assumed that he would’ve gotten the go ahead of his Oga before starting the fight on the Tax bill. It’s a shame though cause the guy really fought hard for Tinubu’s emergence at the APC primaries

lol, I saw this coming as far back as 2019. In fact I sat on an interview with the MD of Rain Oil for the final stage of their recruitment process and my question to him was what they plan to do to their business model when Dangote becomes operational because in my mind this was inevitable especially when you see Femi Otedola who happened to be a friend of Dangote divesting from Forte Oil. The MD answered me casually that Dangote will simply become their supplier but I wasn’t convinced. My take is that the end of fuel importation/Tankfarm storage/Fuel station as a business in Nigeria is near. It’s only a matter of time.
Dangote will push most of them out eventually so they better start exiting strategically!
