Probably he was just unlucky. I'm not a fan of jumia or other online purchasing sites because I have also heard many bad reports about them. but I considered the price of what I wanted to go for and since it wasn't much, I went for it.

It happens, you just haven't experienced it yet. Sometimes they have too many returns that the person in charge doesn't record some returned items.
I am a seller and also a buyer. The phone im using is 3years old. I ordered m3 and was sent m2. It took a month before all was settled. Also i experienced something with a battery i ordered 9 cell and they sent 6 cell. I couldn't return it cuz their stories are stressful.

I received an order for an engagement ring the order was delivered but the buyer didn't know the right size so he returned the order. This is the 2nd month and im still yet to get my return. Its both ways both buyer and seller but your case is the QC/return center they didn't record your return at the right time
My Brother, thank you very much.
God bless you for your response.
PhonesOh Jumia, Oh Bontel by Osila2(op):
I advised anyone that wants phone to stay from this phone and not to buy it at all.
This is a phone that I regret in my life ever have anything to do with.

This phone was delivered to me on Tuesday May 22nd, 2018 and on same day discovered that after full charging and using for around 20minutes it starts generating heat and the battery percentage drops fast. The torch after putting it on decides by itself the duration it will stay. I calls Jumia 2nd to complain and for retrieval which they refused to do for 14days and I have no choice but to drop it off by myself at Jumia collection centre in Ikeja.
Jumia later called me on June 13th, 2018 and also send me message that my complains were unfounded because the phone is perfectly okay, therefore its being sent back to me !!!
It now became very clear to me that Jumia is deliberately forcing me to take the bad phone either I like it or not.
Is this how Nigerians are supposed to be treated and rubbished in Nigeria by Jumia that are priding themselves as "the online shop you can trust"?

CrimeWhy Jumia Why? by Osila2(op): 12:41pm On May 30, 2018
On the May 22nd, 2018 a Bontel E11 android phone was delivered to me after I ordered for it on 17thMay, 2018 on a package of MPDS-373136566-7819.
I discovered, after charging it on same day, of its excessive heat and fast battery power discharging, I promptly called the Jumia customer care to lodge the complaints. Apologies were given with a promise that a dispatch man will be sent to me to pick up the phone. I received a call again from the customer care to also apologized and to inform me that a N1,000 voucher has been generated for me as a gift towards my subsequent purchase on Jumia, on the second day.
On the 3rd day, a mail was sent to me that one of the Jumia dispatch called Gabriel (same person who delivered the phone) will be coming for pickup.
I was shocked and embarrassed to receive a Jumia mail on May 28th, 2018 stating that the phone "have not been handed over/dropped off on time. Therefore, your return request has been cancelled and you might not be able to return these items anymore".
I called the customer's care and they told me that the pickup guy called me once and couldn't reach me and that's what they are hinging their reason on.
Is Jumia intentionally selling bad products to Nigerians?
Jumia told me that calls are made 3 times to a customer for delivery and only 1 time to a customer for retrieval, HABA?
Is Jumia now arm twisting, enforcing me and Nigerians by trick to accept the bad products delivered?
I want Jumia bad policy and bad business relationship with Nigerians to stop.
I also want Jumia to let me have voucher replacement against the bad phone I was sold.

BusinessRe: CAC Reviews Cost Of Business Registration, Says Now Cheaper by Osila2:
I would like to put these out to whom it may concerned:
1. You don't need any or the services of a lawyer, secretary, professional, accredited agent or any other 3rd party to incorporate or register your new business;
2. You are qualified to drive the whole process online without anybody being involved IF you are the business owner or director in the new business;
3. No matter your location in the world, you can drive, process and obtain your Certificate. There is no location barrier or preference;
4. All the summary of fees and forms applicable to drive the business name or I corporation applications are on the CAC's site;
5. CAC's customer care direct phone numbers are available within the working hours of the week and they are ready to help or advice. The numbers are:
0703 973 3251
0818 229 8971
0818 229 9016;
6. You don't need to have an account in paying for CAC's service. Walk into ANY bank and pay through Remita account therein;
7. You pay the EXACT amount indicated on CAC site through Remita or your ATM;
8. There is NO NEED and you DON'T have to visit the CAC's office to drive the process which can be done in the comfort of your home, office, on the field etc. Unless you are for the collection of your Certificate;
9. If you want to use your phone, and for effective operations, use Chrome browser. Go to settings. Click, activate and mark "Request desktop site" and you are good to go.

"Although a lawyer will still be needed to help you draft the Memorandum of Articles. His or her can be negotiated. The above fees quoted is the official price".
You don't need a lawyer AT ALL, the Memorandum and Articles of Association (M&A) is generated automatically online through the registration portal of CAC, and you can thereafter print it out.

This is one way the Federal govt is making life hard for Nigerians. Agency like CAC is handled by the city govt not even local govt. How is Nigeria going to grow when people can't walk to their city hall for business licences? Nigeria must have been cursed. The north just want to stiffen economic growth of the country and these are issues that need to be raised with the UN instead of noise. The same with the registration of Ngo is to make sure that the international community and organizations like amnesty international do not have an easy access to information in Nigeria when Nigerians are being killed. Having organizations like Samaritan Purse go to registration (that may be held down in Abuja for months would make millions of Nigerians die before help arrives. Bills like these are very dangerous. Though I don't like Ipob style but there should be a counter protest in favor of the America support of Ipob. It's just so unfortunate that ibos alienated people who should be their natural ally with so much hate, which makes me wonder if Ibos are working for Hausa to complicate things. Otherwise regionalism is something UN, US and others will support and backed, and there's nothing the north can do about it.
What is the meaning of all this epistles?

He will need more than $59k, nothing less than 200,000 CAD- 500,000 CAD as i would advice he goes through the investment route depending on the province he chooses. Most likely he will need a lawyer for this route.

Goodluck
His main target is to emigrate and have permanent stay and it looks like the investment route is a bit high considering the 200,000 CAD - 500,000 CAD involved but checking up the current exchange rate now I discovered that USD 59,000 is higher than CAD 200,000.

Do you have a better alternative to enable him achieve his aim?

@Osila2,

The maximum age for investor class visa is 55. However, state or territory government can waive the age requirement to nominate him if they are of the opinion that the intended business will be productive to their economy.

Meanwhile, $59k is nothing compared to the capital requirements for business stream visa. You can read more about it below

https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/188-

How old is the wife and what is her occupation?
He intends to setup either: a grocery store or an African boutique store or an hair styling store.

What is the other alternative route/step he can take to achieve his aim of emigration and permanent stay.

His wife is 41 years old and an auxiliary nurse trained in one of the Lagos private hospitals.
